Loved all of it... I was a little worried when leaving Australia not knowing what to expect, but once we met our guides I knew we were in good hands...I feel the guides do make the trip they were full of information and knew so much about their country and wildlife...We stayed in tents most of the time that were easy to put up and pull down and the beds were comfortable...what more can you expect on a safari other than good food and we sure did have that.
Thanks for a trip I'll never forget..

Super tour
5/5

We could not have picked a better tour operator than Tailor Made Safaris.
First of all they advised to limit our travel distance instead of doing all of Africa in one trip so we would have more time to enjoy our expeditions within the three weeks of holiday we had available, but secondly we only briefly mentioned we would celebrate our 40th aniversary with this trip and they managed to raise special focus to this by all lodges we visited, which made our tour so much more memorable. We had great sightings of the big 5 wildlife thanks to the expert knowledge and skills of all safari guides. Very good mix of lodges, from fairly basic to fine luxury places, just the way we liked to experience and all located in places with limited numbers of visitors, but maximum numbers of animals to see. Travel distances never too far, always an easy drive, pre-programmed GPS provided by Tailormade Safaris, as well as an emergency handy phone with African number to limit cost (if any). Very friendly staff everywhere, trying to make life as comfortable as possible for the guests.

About: Zimbabwe
Victoria Falls and safarias make Zimbabwe a wonderful vacation destination !We

We enjoyed very nice tour guides at Victoria Falls! We were there during the dry season, but Falls were still not to be missed! The weather was quite warm in September making the walking tour a challenge for my husband, but we were very comfortable in our accommodations at Stanley and Livingstone. The lodge itself was rather posh, with beautiful wood furnishings. Food was delicious with several choices each night and staff was very nice!

In Hwange, accommodations were not too opulent nor too rustic. We stayed at the Ivory Lodge. It had a safari “feel” with all needed amenities in our private building overlooking a watering hole. We sat on our deck to watch wild animals come out of the bush to drink. We felt as though the staff’s only priority was to be sure our needs were met and that we had a great time. It was not “just a job” to them. They went above and beyond. The camp director, Jamie is indeed a special hostess I hated to say goodbye to.
Safari guides shared their vast knowledge of the bush and wildlife with us. They tracked the animals and communicated with each other to give us the best viewing possible. We especially liked Jeb.
Food was very good and my special dietary needs have never been catered to as well as at The Ivory Lodge.
Everything was perfect, except we would have liked to have seen more cats. The bush however is not a zoo!

Brian is a superb guide with excellent knowledge and skills. He showed us a fantastic array of animals and provided us with much information about the area. His accommodations were fine, food good and staff outstanding. Would love to return.

Blend of urban, country and wild.

We enjoyed the panorama of the life, culture and natural beauty of South Africa. We enjoyed Cape Town's urban charm, Johannesburg's history and diversity and Kruger's wild life.
We needed more time in Kruger Park to see the full array of wild life. We were there for only 3 days and only in one private reserve, so we were not able to see the big five. The lions have moved out of Sabi Sabi and Buffaloes were not native to this reserve.

Great wildlife and scenery experience
4/5

First of all: I had a great trip with Northern Circuit Adventure, I definately recommend them.

Me and my friend completed a safari group of 5 travellers to go and visit Arusha NP, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Our guide Elias had loads of (fun) facts ready to share with us together with a great eye for spotting animals, added with the wonderful (large) meals prepared by Gabriel and an international group made this an amazing time for me.

The only downside was that I had to sleep in Arusha Tourist Inn for a couple of nights, arranged by NCA. Across the street was a mosque where prayers started at 05:00 hrs, I'm definately not used to that kind of thing so it really disturbed my nights. I would choose all the different kinds of tents over this inn any day (the tents were great).

I would definately recommend this safari company to my friends because they offer a great safari for a reasonable price.

This was an AMAZING experience!
5/5

First and foremost, Zohar set us up w/ a truly excellent safari guide. Sammy made sure that we saw everything there was to see in the parks, including a black rhino! His font of knowledge and enthusiasm for the natural world seemed limitless. This along w/ his easy going nature, good sense of humor, and sensitivity to our needs made for an exceptional experience.

In addition to the game parks, Zohar arranged for us to experience multiple cultural visits to a number of tribes in the area. The nature of these visits included authentic interaction that was truly unique and defy description. We'll never forget them!

As for some of the details, communications w/ the tour operator both before and during the trip were always easy and responses prompt. Traveling to Africa might be anxiety producing for the less traveled (like ourselves). However, Zohar seamlessly arranged for every aspect of our vacation from beginning to end. Our entire voyage unquestionably exceeded all expectations.
