wildlife galore
We had a great time on safari with Micky and Gabriel. They picked us up in Daar e Salam and drove us to Selous game park. We were on a tight budget so we slept in tents in a campground just outside the park. Micky cooked us 3 meals a day which were delicious! We spent all day in Selous and saw all the animals we could imagine, even the rare wild dogs. Grassroots was great and excellent value. They were very flexible and happy to stay as long as we wanted in the park. I would recommend them.
Fantastic first African Safari experience!!
This was my first ever safari and my first trip to Africa, and I was travelling alone, so was unsure what to expect. From the moment I arrived at Nairobi airport and met our Somak representative, I was put at ease by his friendliness and professionalism. We did an 8 day Cheetah safari and moved around from camp to camp - our driver was so knowledgeable about the animals and the African terrain and I learnt so much from him. He was very conscientious and always "went that extra mile" which resulted in us seeing some rare sights and occurrences. The accommodation was very comfortable and some of the camps were luxurious! The people of Kenya are lovely, smiley people and I can't wait for my next trip to Africa!! I would thoroughly recommend Somak for your safari.

Amazing, gorgeous, fun trip with guide who knows what he's doing
I have been to Kenya three times and each time I relied and was never disappointed by African Servalcat Safaris.
My first trip to Kenya and my first experience was back in 2011, in 2012 I was there briefly as I had some volunteerwork to do and my third time I asked Sylvester and Benson to take me to the Steiner school where my foster angel is now living.
Service was excellent from the first email!
The entire trip was well organised, we didn't have to worry about anything. Benson, our guide was fantastic! Not only was he very knowledgable but when he didn't know he did his best to look things up in his or my little book. What I really appreciated was his willingness to do a lot for his customers bUT with respect for nature and animals! While other guides/drivers would drive in the long high grasses to overpass other busses Benson told us he wouldn't do that as there could be many animals there int he grass that would be disturbed or killed by us driving there! Respect!!
So from day one until the day we left we never had any complaints.
One thing you should bare in mind when you do a driving safari is that distances can be far and driving can take up a lot of hours..and the roads are def not European or American standard roads :)
But that's all part of the experience right!
We went to the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Tsavo West and Amboseli.
Second trip June 2012
As always everything the entire trip was organized well so that I really could enjoy my trip. My guide/driver Justus took me everywhere safely (white woman travelling alone) and was knowledgeable of all the places we drove through and saw.
I visited Sweetwaters tented camp and Ol Pejeta, went to the Nairobi National Park and Sheldrick elephant orphanage as well as worked for a local orphanage, Mama Tunza Childrens Home.
I could count on Sylvester (owner) assistance whenever needed as well!
And third time was a quicky but Sylvester and Benson stood by me.
During my previous trips my heart was captured by a beautiful orphaned angel who than lived at the Mama Tunza Childrens Home.
I know got her into the Steiner School and Sylvester en Benson joined me as she knew both of them from the orphanage.
Went to Kenya the first time to go on a trip with a local touroperator but left with a good rafiki!

An Everlasting Memory
We are now back at home for several weeks but our minds are still in the beautiful Kenyan National Parks with their amazing wildlife (Samburu, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Amboseli). Our safari was perfectly organized by Sylvester and our driver/guide David was not only knowledgeable but also very friendly and accomodating. Whenever we liked to stay a bit longer somewhere he just waited until we were ready to move on. He even made our game drives a bit longer than other drivers. The Sopa Lodges we chose as accomodation were really nice and comfortable, but their locations are just a bit offside from the main animal spotting areas. Although the roads within the NPs as well as some roads outside are really bumpy, it is still manageable to go by van (instead of a jeep).
When we were planning our safari Sylvester was very helpful, and he even re-scheduled our originally booked Kenya/Tanzania safari at a later stage to a safari just within Kenya. We met him twice at the beginning of our tour as well as at it's end when he sat down with us and asked us about our trip experiences in detail and feedbacks respectively.
All in all we had an unforgettable safari that was worth the time and money we spent!! From the very beginning we had a good feeling about Sylvester and African Servalcat Safaris and it came fully true. We thank Sylvester and David for making our holidays an everlasting memory!!!

Fantastic once in a life time experience!
This is the first online review I have ever completed but the experience we had on our 3 day Etosha tour was so great that I had to share it. We looked at several places but chose Wild Wind Safaris because it was the best price and we had limited funds. We really felt we got value for money. We couldn't have asked for a better guide, Philip was so knowledgable, he had interesting facts about just about everything and was great company on the road. He clearly knew his way around the park very well as he was able to take us to see many of the animals we wanted to see at places he had seen them before. He made us feel at ease right from the start and we felt very safe during the whole experience as he always took precautions around the larger animals, which we noticed some other tour operators neglected to do. The place he booked for us to stay in Etosha was also fantastic. The room was so nice that it felt a shame that we spent most of our time out in the park or at the waterhole which was seconds away from our front door! The food there was great too and all included in the price, we spent the whole weekend over-eating as we couldn't resist getting second helpings. We would strongly recommend this trip to anyone travelling to the area and would choose Wild Wind Safaris again if we wanted to go on any further tours whilst in Namibia.

the best holiday
We did 10 days camping safari with Christopher Samwel, visiting the northern parks (Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire), and we had a great time, from the planning of the trip and during the safari (which in Christopher proved to be very competent and available).
absolutely recommendable (I hope to go back soon!)

Amazing - a holiday of a lifetime!
Our adventure in South Africa started and ended with a safari, first of all in a private reserve in the Sabi Sand area and finally the Kalahari. In between, we travelled along the Cape, stopping off at various places where we enjoyed more exciting experiences. Rose and her team at The Luxury Safari Company planned our itinerary down to the last detail and everything ran like clockwork. It seemed like a complicated journey to us as we usually stay put in one place, but it all ran very smoothly and efficiently. Of course, the highlight was seeing all those beautiful animals. It was our first safari and you cannot quite believe your eyes and those memories will be forever imprinted on your mind. Rose said this would be a hard one to beat and the holiday certainly exceeded all expectations! We look forward to another adventure soon!!

Excellent guide
I was traveling with a friend and her two daughters. Faustin was a patient, knowledgeable guide and we very much enjoyed our tour of the island, including a spice farm and the Jozani Forest. It was my first time to Zanzibar and I would hire him again and recommend him to others.

Amazing experience!
I with my family ( six people all together) have travelled with Wild Wind Safaris two times, both visits lasted two weeks. First time it was in 2010 and the second in the 2013, the first trip was to Namibia and Zambia and the second to Namibia and Botswana. I can say that my whole family was extremely satisfied with the quality of services provided by this small and thus extraordinary firm. Our guide, Filip, is not only an extremely experienced guide, but also a fascinating person, with whom we had plenty of discussions about all kind of topics. The trip consists of experiences of many kinds: the contact with the magnificent african wild nature, the trip to native african tribes but also extreme sports like riding the quads in the desert or parachute jumping. The biggest advantage of this company is that it has an individual approach towards its clients and it is capable of providing anything you want to do in Africa. The experience and knowledge of our guide gave us also a sense of safety, because he knew how to handle local autorities and crazy african administration but also he helped us with our encounters with black mambas, elephants and all the other wild animals that you will meet there. Generally speaking, I truly recommend this touristic company, especially if you want to see something more than what is offered in the most popular touristic paths!!!
