Great Safari with Amani!
Wonderful experience with two children, aged 4 and 6. Our guide Amani was incredibly kind and shared his knowledge with great passion. He taught the children a lot and gave us excellent advice. A slight disappointment with the last hotel we stayed at, as it did not match the standard of the rest of the trip.
Thank you again to Amani—don't hesitate to request him for a guided safari in French.

Very professional and efficient and quick to respond to our enquiries
We found Walking Stick Tours to be very efficient and professional, always quick to respond to our enquiries and felt that the price of the trip was great value.
Our guide Gabana was so knowledgeable about the areas we were visiting and the animals and their behaviour that we could experience and enjoy the bush safely while still having close encounters. Tracking a female leopard in the early morning, and sitting close to wild dogs by their den with the two adults guarding the pups as they emerge, and the excitement of the rest
of the pack returning from a hunt were highlights. We will remember the many great moments throughout the trip for a long time.
We were well looked after by our camp chef Election who worked hard to provide us with tasty and filling vegetarian meals everyday, we never went hungry and nothing was too much trouble for the camp assistants always helpful and cheerful.
We have recommended Walking Stick Tours to others while on our travels and would not hesitate to book with them again if we return to Botswana

Adventure of a lifetime
Everything was very well organized. Breakfast on the way, lunch in the park away from other cars - monkeys and colorful birds all around. We had a wonderful day on safari in Ngorongoro, amazing views, thanks to the knowledge and reflexes of the driver we saw all the animals from the big five. My husband and I felt very safe. We plan to repeat the safari with the same team. We highly recommend!!!

Very professional and always on hand
My family had an unforgettable experience on our safari trip which included Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana. Diane created an itinerary which incorporated all our wishes and priorities; she booked us superb lodgings as well as reliable transport and was always on hand and professional.
The safari trip itself was truly a once in a lifetime experience for all the members of my family. We were all amazed by the natural beauty and the wildlife of the savannah. The highlight of our trip was seeing the wonderful Namib Desert, gorgeous Victoria Falls and the free roaming wild animals in their natural habitat all while being extremely close to them. I would definitely recommend Discover Africa Safaris and would gladly book with them again.

Professional and patient travel agency, considerate tour guide, comfortable trip!
We're a family of three. There's a girl. Dennis arranged a great trip for us, as we booked the hotel late, he managed to find several hotels that were suitable for us, friendly staff, delicious food, beautiful surroundings. Peter is an excellent and hardworking guide who knows a lot about animals and has found us lions, leopards, elephants and many other amazing animals! Thank you very much for the travel agency. I recommended it to many of my friends.

Expert, efficient, mindful of detail, discreet
I traveled with my family, 4 people in total, with my two 23 and 26 years old children. The 11 days tour included six days of safari and three days in Zanzibar. The travel was organised online through the Evaneos operator which redirected us to a direct contact with Savannah Explorers. With the assistance of our Savannah Explorers' local expert, Sultan, we managed to organise a fully customised tour, including safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, plus 3 days in Zanzibar. The local expert was very efficient and fast in replying to all my iterations, proposing excellent solutions both in terms of destinations and lodging.
All the tour details were taken care by Savannah Explorers and we could travel in full safety from the arrival in Zanzibar to the departure back to Italy. Everything went absolutely smoothly. The local expert took care of us at every relevant step (transfers, accommodations, etc.) but also solved unwelcome problems like baggage lost by KLM in Amsterdam: Savannah Explorers people made all the necessary steps to get the lost luggage and deliver it to us, while we were enjoying our Safari in Serengeti. During our stay, contacts with the local expert were extremely easy through whatsapp and the replies quick (essentially in real time) and efficient. That was very importat to make us feel constantly supported every day.
The guide provided by Savannah Explorers for the safari, John, was exceptional. He guided us through Serengeti with incredible exeperience, bringing us always in the right place at the right moment. He showed great respect to the environment (you could see him suddenly stopping in the grasslands, to collect an abandoned plastic bottle or other garbage) and transmitted us all his enthusisam and love for the wildlife (animals, plants), his home land, with its breathtaking landscapes, and his people. In addition, he was able to drive for hours with great patience and in full safety along the challenging tracks of Serengeti, giving us plenty of time to take pictures and admire all the beatiful things he brought us to see.
Accommodation solutions proposed by the operator were excellent and fully compliant with our wishes: a beautiful lodge for the first and last night in the safari area, to restore ourselves, and tented camps in the serengeti, for a full immersion in the wildlife.
If you go to Serengeti, you must stay in tented camps for a full immertion in the wildlife!
Tented camps are exceptionally comfortable. Tents feature private bathroom with shower, as well as very comfortable beds, still preserving the experience of full immersion in the bush, with zebras grazing close to the tents at night and lions roaring in the distance. Surprisingly enough, tented camps feature an excellent free internet connection, that allowed us to keep in contact daily with our relatives in Italy! (btw: no need for any expensive telephone option to call your beloved: a daily whatsapp video call is as easy as in your home country when you are at the tented camps!). We stayed two nights at Kifaru Tented Lodge in central Serengeti and one night in Kontiki Mobile Tented Camp, in northern Serengeti.
In both cases we found extremely friendly, efficient and supprtive personnel, as well as an excellent kitchen! The tents were impeccably clean and after a long day in the savannah we could restore ourseves by drinking a fresh Kilimanjaro beer.
Furthermore, tented camps are very sustainable structures, being essentially fully self-sufficient from th energy supply point of view, with solar panels for electricity and hot water production. Their impact on the environment is minimal being perfectly integrated in the savannah.
Our tour included 5 days of safari, including Tarangire park which is absolutely to be visited and really surpising! Tarangire features a high density of animals, including, among others, lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes. Elephants walking in the river bed for their mud shower were an unforgettable experience. We then moved to central Serengeti, with its breathtaking landscapes, as well as the beautiful animals (we saw 4 of the big 5) and to northern Serengeti, to admire the awesome great migration with hundreds of thousands of gnus grazing in the immense grasslands, as well as their dramatic attempts to cross the river Mara. If you go to Serengeti in July-August, including a day in northern Serengeti is mandatory!
Finally we spent a whole day in Ngoronogoro, another place that you can not miss by any means: truly the eighth world wonder! If you plan a tour in Tanzania, you definitely must include a day in Ngorongoro. There, thanks to John, we were able to see also the last missing big 5: the rhino!
We finally spent three days in Zanzibar in an excellent resort proposed by Savannah Explorers. To be frank, if you want to stay a few days in Zanziabr, you probably better go there before the safari. At least to me, the safari experience overwhelmed any possible expectation and eventually the stay in Zanzibar was somewhat "average" after that.
Clearly not a fault of the operator, but Zanzibar has a severe problem of eco-sustainability: plastics is ubiquitous and the beautiful white coralline beaches are plagued by an unacceptable level of plastic garbage, notwithstanding the restless effort by the hotel personnel to clean up. Nevertheless, our stay in Zanzibar was excellent, the hotel beautiful and the personnel friendly and efficient.
To conclude, if you plan to travel to Tanzania for a safari, i enthusiastically suggest you to do it through Savannah Explorers!

AMAZING TRIP IN TANZANIA WITH GO VOLUNTEER AFRICA
I really did have such an amazing trip in Tanzania with Go Volunteer Africa and would absolutely recommend it to anyone. I chose them primarily as they were the cheapest organization I found, but honestly they cut no corners.
Go Volunteer Africa were very helpful with my questions beforehand and managed to get me sorted even though I only enquired 3 weeks before my departure date! Everything needed was given to me in writing which was a comfort and was very accurate information.
The pre-departure support from Paul and his local team was so useful. Arrival was very easy on my part and the volunteer house in Dar-es-Salaam is perfect! I settled in so quickly as all the in-country Go Volunteer Africa staff were so lovely and helpful as well as the other volunteers being amazing.
I spent 4 weeks in Tanzania and I wish I had gone earlier and stayed longer as the experience just gets more enjoyable as you get to know the other volunteers and the staff. The accommodation is relatively basic - there was no Wi-Fi while I was there (not always the case) and the showers aren't consistently warm - but it was extremely social, comfortable and I wouldn't change anything major.
The staff in-country are fantastic and there is always someone available to chat to and ask any questions or reports any concerns. I did a Childcare and Urban Farming placements and a member of local staff escorted us on the first day to show us the journey and introduce us to projects staff.
I made some great friends in the time I was there, as we spent loads of time together in the house and on the weekend trips. All I can say is the more you put in, the more you get out of your experience.
I would definitely recommend this experience if you're willing to be spontaneous and settle into the 'pole pole' lifestyle in Tanzania :) I also think that going in June/July time is perfect as there are always other volunteers around and the weather isn't too hot.
It's difficult to describe how it's so enjoyable but it is definitely worth doing through Go Volunteer Africa. Go Volunteer Africa will totally look after you, so go with a totally open mind and you'll have a trip you will not forget.

Reteti made our African holiday memorable!
We traveled to Kenya in August 2024 to experience the wildlife of the Savanna and are glad that we chose Reteti to steer us. They gave us a great deal and made all bookings adequately. (We went on a boat safari as well as balloon safari on our trip.) The team welcomed us warmly upon arrival and kept in touch throughout the trip (very responsive) and was there to bid us adieu on our date of departure. Our safari guide was topnotch: professional, polite, punctual and informative, and above all a safe driver. Reteti made arrangements for our stay in good resorts throughout our visit in various places. We had a few hiccups (one of the resorts was overbooked, so they had to move us elsewhere, the Reteti team did their best to make the transition smooth. Our booking for the balloon safari fell through at the last minute but Reteti immediately made alternate arrangements and ensured that we didn’t miss out on this experience.) Communication with the Reteti team was a breeze.
Where they could be better: The vehicle provided was not too comfortable, we saw some other vehicles with better seats, amenities and more space.
Overall, we had a great time in Kenya, thanks to Reteti’s services. They ensured our safety and comfort while providing a great experience in a foreign country. We would gladly recommend them to our family and friends.

Brilliant Safaris. The clue is in the name
Brilliant Safaris. The clue is in the name.
We did the Mid Budget 7night/6day northern Tanzania circuit of Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater.
We originally booked to do a shared (up to 6 person) tour but others who had booked wanted private so we got a lucky free upgrade.
Our tour guide George was an angel, he was incredible. He was so good to us. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and worked so, so hard for us that we were lucky enough to spot the big 5 on numerous occassions! His passion and dedication was second to none and he really went above and beyond our expectations. He always made sure we had the best spot and manouvered his jeep to get us to the front particularly with the more illusive animals e.g. cheetah, leopard, baby elephants, black rhino with a calf and lion cubs. He also prepared us lunch from a full hamper everyday rather than small individual lunch boxes and was excpetionally kind to others. He was the reason we had such an incredible experience that we will treasure forever. An amazing man.
The accommodation was exceptional. It was much better than we anticipated.
Pazuri Inn was beautiful, comfortable and welcoming after our day of flying.
Eileen's Trees Inn was full of flora and matched the Pazuri closely in it's design.
The food was buffet style and was fresh and varied, catering to most palates for sure.
Into Wild Africa was an accommodation highlight though. Nestled in the middle of the Serengeti was an oasis of comfort and joy. It was like 5 star glamping. Zebra, Buffalo, Warthog and Baboons would wander rather close to our tents. Lions roared out their territory. It was just what we wanted and more. George also organised a 'happy honeymoon' cake for us which was a lovely touch
Everyone we came into contact with on safari was so nice, welcoming and helpful. The staff could not do enough for you.
I cannot recommend Brilliant Safaris and George as your guide enough.
