Derick, our safari guide, curated a wonderful experience!
5/5

Just some feedback for your company: Your guides should be fluent in English and have enough data and the proper phone charging equipment to accept phone calls. Witness couldn’t answer the phone when I was trying to contact her about something important bc she was out of data. Your company should be providing her data to communicate with customers. The Arusha Inn hotel lost power and didn’t have WiFi for half of the time I was there. I think it was out in the whole city, so I know that’s not something you could hello. Sam, the one who took me to the waterfall was driving a van that did not have 4 wheel drive and felt very unsafe driving up a muddy mountain. We could have easily slid off the side of the mountain road and died. Drivers taking customers to the mountains should be driving 4 wheel drive vehicles with mud tires.
Sam did his best considering the circumstances.

Derick Ayo, the actual safari guide was amazing and did a great job keeping 7 people from different countries very happy and safe. He was up at 4 am getting the Safari truck prepared and ready each day, even changing a tire while all of the guests were having fun with the Maasai people. He really took such great care of us, making sure we had what we needed and worked very hard and long hours to ensure we had a great Safari experience. The days spent in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire were amazing and mostly because of Derick’s hard work, knowledge, and experience. If only the other drivers I encountered could have been as smart and well prepared as Derick, I wouldn’t have any complaints at all.

Outstanding, efficient, and very organised-giving a superb result
5/5

David and team- THANK YOU- everything was brilliant and better than we could have imagined from the beginning till the end.Words fail me to express how well organised, meticulously prepared and executed your holiday was. You advised us and really clearly knew what you were talking about- thank you.
Thank you for putting us with Lazaro- who i believe could have not done anything better- His knowledge would certainly give David Attenborough a run for his money- it was exceptional - and he clearly thoroughly enjoyed showing us everything, his enthusiasm was infectious
The holiday was extremely good value, it really was so smooth.
Thank you all again

Amazing August Safari
5/5

We just finished a 4-day group safari with Suricata Safaris. The tour included Tarangire National Park, 2 game drives in Serengeti, and Ngorongoro conservation area. We were excited for safari, but it exceeded our expectations!

We had both Rocky & Amir as our tour guides, and they were so welcoming and knowledgeable. Chef Luca prepared our delicious and hearty meals. We opted for mid-range accommodations, and the staff at these sites were all so kind and attentive. The tented lodges we stayed in were cushier than camping, but still provided a unique experience of sleeping close to the wildlife and under a full sky of stars.

Being end of August, it was relatively easy to see animals, even from the first few minutes we entered the parks. It was so cool seeing them in person, and closer than we could have imagined.

We were pleasantly surprised at every step by the care that the staff took to anticipate our needs. We thought we’d be “roughing it” for a few days, but it was much easier and more comfortable than we expected. The company provided food & water on the day trips, comfortable accommodation during safari, and even provided airport pickup/dropoff and hotel stays the nights before and after safari. It made it so much easier to commit to booking knowing that our local contacts were coordinating the trip end to end. Be mindful that the specific accommodation may change from what’s listed in your itinerary, but the team puts you in an equivalent lodging based on availability.

We had so much fun, and highly recommend doing a safari with this company!

Imara Tour Safari trip - Best tour experience ever and wished that the rating system had more stars!
5/5

We are a family of 5 and our initial trip to Zanzibar was mostly to do a safari with the kids. We checked so many tour operators online but Imara Tour was by far the best deal and most accommodating. After reading all the great reviews, I decided to book our 2 days safari with Imara in the Mikumi park reserve. Fessal our tour operator, contacted us immediately and consulted us to design the best trip possible based on our requirements. Not knowing what to expect, with Fessal we were exchanging together using Whatsapp and managed to designed the perfect trip for us. Honestly, this trip was simply amazing and the best tour we ever experienced. Imara deliver way beyond our expectations and have no problem recommending them to anyone. Actually, I would even go as far as I wouldn't do this again unless it was with Imara tour, that's how good they are. Fessal is a young experienced tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable, dynamic, well spoken and with great attention to details. He's clearly passionate about tourism and will do everything to ensure everything is perfect. A safari trip in Tanzania is not easy task but Fessal made it look easy and a great experience overall. Everything was so well organized and his ability to adapt to us was just impressive. We travelled from Zanzibar where the had organized a transfer directly from the hotel to the ferry in Stone Town. Once in Stone Town, Fessal was waiting for us and took care of everything from the ferry to the transport from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National reserve. He constantly made sure to avoid any delays to ensure we could maximise out time at the park. He had organized a quick lunch half-way that was perfect for the occasion. We felt safe and in good hands at all time. The tour in Mikumi was absolutely amazing and worth the trip. Fessal designed the trip based on what animal we mostly wanted to see. But after a couple of days, we've managed to see everything we wanted and thanks to Imara efforts, this was way beyond expectation. They worked so hard to please us and making sure we had the best experience possible. Overnight, we stayed in a locale hotel in Mikumi (20 min drive) which managed to accommodate the 5 of us which is never easy. The rooms and service was great and accommodating. It included dinner and breakfast in the morning before round two. In the morning whilst driving towards the our second day tour, it was cold and would suggest to bring some warm clothes. However, Fessal again starting singing Jumbo Bwana song which lifted mood and making us completely foret about the cold. Our experience was so good, we decided to use Imara Tour for other tour trips in Zanzibar. We were so happy to see him again and had complete trust in him. We felt we had a great connection and is attention to details is just outstanding. Whilst the tour was possibly the most amazing tour we ever had, I strongly believe that Fessal was a huge part of that success and can now understand why they have so many great reviews. If you are planning to do a safari trip in Tanzania, look no further, Imara tour is certainly an amazing option to consider. Great value, amazing service and something to remember for the rest of your life. Good luck to you Imara Tour and wishing great success!

Great service, personal, accommodating and knowledgeable Tour Operators
5/5

Booked a 5-Day Tanzania Migration Safari (Tarangire, central & north serengeti and ngorongoro crater) on 25-29Aug.

Meijo were exceptional! From the itinerary to the accommodations to the personalised touch of the tour, you really cant go wrong with Meijo.

Daudi was very responsive and open on the tour package. He was very helpful and knowledgeable in arranging the tour and accommodations.

Jordan, our guide, was super knowledgeable of the routes, the animals (and where to get the best views!) and of almost anything of the tour and safari in general. He was very patient and accommodating, reassuring and punctual.

Overall Meijo offered a very memorable, fun, and satisfying safari experience!

Safari in Tanzania
5/5

Our experience with Amani was awesome! He tried his best to offer the best experience and he achieved it!
We slept at the tented camp and ate the delicious food that was cooked every day for us.
We saw the big five! They both are very respectful to the environment and the animals and gave to us a lot of information about all the species we met at the trip! He knows perfectly what he is talking about!
Amani is an excellent guide and Jeep driver! And he is always looking for providing a safe and amazing atmosphere. We trusted him from the very beggining of our tour!
Totally recommended!

My first Safari wonder was absolutely memorable with Matthy's expert arrangement
5/5

My experience was wonderful. Matthys helped us to plan the trip to see great wildebeest migration. The timing was planned perfectly, the trip arranged in detail. In addition, Matthys always answered our questions timely and expertly before and during our trip. Each camp we stayed was beautiful with friendly staff. The Cliff is highly recommended with stunning views of the lake.

Trip Review: Incredible Kenya Adventure (August 3 - August 13)

I just returned from an unforgettable trip to Kenya, taking place from August 3 to August 13, and it was truly a dream come true! We traveled with Apodiformes Tours, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Our journey included visits to some of Kenya's most stunning destinations: the Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli National Park, and Tsavo National Park. Each location offered its own unique beauty and a plethora of wildlife.
Kicking off our adventure in the Masai Mara, we were treated to remarkable wildlife sightings, including the Great Migration. The thrill of watching wildebeest and zebras traversing the vast plains was something I will never forget. Our driver, Kim, expertly navigated the reserve, ensuring that we had the best views of animals, including lions, cheetahs, and elephants.
Next, we visited Lake Naivasha, where we went on a delightful boat ride. The serene waters were home to a variety of birds, including pelicans and herons, and we even spotted a few hippos lounging nearby. The scenery was stunning, with lush green surroundings and a sense of peace that invigorated us for the next leg of our journey.
Our trip continued to Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is famous for its vibrant flamingos and diverse wildlife. Kim guided us through the park, where we were able to see the stunning pink hues of the lake, as well as rhinos and a variety of other wildlife. The sight of a rhino was a personal highlight for me!
Amboseli was another highlight of our tour. With Mount Kilimanjaro in the background, the views were breathtaking. We were fortunate to see large herds of elephants up close, and again, Kim's deep knowledge of the area made our experience richer. He shared fascinating facts about the ecology of the park and the conservation efforts for its wildlife.
Lastly, we explored the magnificent Tsavo National Park. Its vast landscapes and vibrant ecosystems left us in awe. We spotted plenty of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. The sense of adventure was palpable, and we loved every moment of our time there.
Throughout our journey, Kim was an outstanding driver and guide. His expertise and passion for wildlife and culture enriched our experience immensely. Kim was friendly, accommodating, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had an incredible time.
The accommodations arranged by Apodiformes Tours were excellent, providing great comfort after our daily adventures. Each lodge and camp featured warm hospitality and delicious food, making our stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, my trip to Kenya from August 3 to August 13 with Apodiformes Tours was a remarkable adventure filled with stunning landscapes, incredible wildlife, and rich cultural experiences. I am grateful for the memories made and highly recommend this tour company and especially Kim as a guide to anyone looking to explore the beauty of Kenya!
