The corrupt leadership of the country and the disparity between classes is heartbreaking.

The most beautiful part of the trip was taking the panoramic scenic route from Johannesburg to Kruger national Park. Kruger was awesome and we saw all of the big 5. Cape Town is a fantastic city and is a cross between Sydney, Australia, and San Francisco, California. We especially enjoyed the V & A waterfront. We would highly recommend the hop on hop off bus to get a feel for where you want to return to.

Beautiful place … too many tourists !

Amazing place with so many animals to observe !

However too many jeeps, too many tourists. Some time you feel like you are in an amusement park queuing for a picture … sad impression !

worth a visit if staying in Nairobi. Not a large amount of wildlife
Nairobi National Park is a unique ecosystem by being the only protected area in the world close to a capital city. The park is located only 7 km from Nairobi city centre

Bush scenery is great , so is the Wildlife depending on the off road tracks you take.
I'm not a big birder but i'm sure there is many birds available to see in the area.

Overall good but some problems
3/5

The trip was for five days (manyara, tarangire, ngorogoro and serengeti). We joined a group so in total we were five people paying different prices. from 760- 960$. the drives were excellent but five days is a little too long.
When we arrived in serengeti for camping one sleeping bag was missing.
The car stopped working a few times.
Drivers good and chefs all right but they expect big tips, which we didn't like, Tip should be something you earn or feel like you want to give because you appreciated the service, not because its mandatory... They were angry when i didnt give tip...?

Nice safari, can catch all big five, accommodation and meal can be improve.
3/5

The guide are professinal, show us lots of animal as he can, also the big five. In general, the accommodation and meal can be improve, special the lunchbox when we need to take a long transportation, only biscuit, cake, banana.

Great safari but the driver and car could have been better

I went on a three day Masai Mara trip and the Masai Mara is just awesome. But Tom, our guide: 1) had a pretty old minivan, what made it bumpy sometimes, 2) was distracted on the phone many times instead of looking out for animals and 3) everyone was promised a window seat but we were 9 people the last two days so the van was very crowded.
I know there are other more encouraged drivers with better cars at big time safaris. I would not recomend a safari with this guide (ok maybe he had a bad week... but still...)

About: Tanzania
Great people, great country, terrible government
Overall rating
3/5

Generally, the people in Tanzania are very helpful, friendly but poor. Corruption level is very high (especially with police and government positions). I got the impression that Tanzanian government want to keep its population poor for their own benefit. This did not feel very comfortable. Country is very rich in natural resources and has beautiful scenery, parcs and beaches. The high corruption level is a disturbing factor however
