Very nice people and amazing safari!
5/5

Very nice people and amazing safari! The safari was far above my expectations. Before booking, Hilary was very fast answering my emails and everything was as planned with pre and post accomodations (hotel in Arusha is nice!). The tour guide and driver, Ezekiel, was very nice, responsive, and smart to spot almost every animal. The camping sites along Tarangire (great place and view), Serengeti (amazing nature), and Ngoronrogo (amazing nature). All of them were comfortable enough. Also, Salim prepared very tasty dishes for breakfast and dinners. Highly recommended!

Most Interesting travel agency specializing in Africa
5/5

I have already been on no less 17 safaris and have visited Chad,Ethiopia, Namibia,Uganda, and South Africa 3 times, Zambia 4,Zimbabwe 5, Tanzania 4, Botswana 4 as well as having taken various safaris in Kenya where I reside. I must say that I have worked with various travel agencies which specialize in safaris;nevertheless the best I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with is Chalo Africa. They specialize in tailor made safaris and will go anywhere which you'd like. It's thanks to Sangeeta Prasad that I have made some of my most extraordinary safaris. I have visited Zakouma National Park in Chad,Gonorezhou National Park in Zimbabwe, as well as my visit earlier this year to Ethiopia.

I have to say that my visit to Omo National Park which Chalo Africa arranged to the Mursi and Surma tribes was the most astonishing cultural experience which I've ever had in Africa. I also couldn't believe flying overlooking the vast emptiness Gambella National Park where there was only the 6 of us,our guide, pilot and co-pilot.We saw thousands of white-eared kob and Nile lechwe. It was literally mind blowing. I also went to the Bale Mountain National Park where I saw the Ethiopian wolf the world's rarest canid, Mountain Nyala, Menelik's Bushbuck, Bohor bushbuck and the mountain reedbuck.I also found the Ali Deghe Game Reserve interesting because I saw sommerlings gazelle and grevy's zebra.

Earlier this year when I visited Zimbabwe,Zambia,Malawi and Botswana I have to say Chalo Africa did a superb job. They offer the most competitive pricing as well as excellent back up service.I am so impressed with Chalo Africa that I am taking two trips, one to Gabon and another to Uganda next year.

Great tour company, everything well organised
4/5

We booked by email for the Gorilla tour in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda through Rwanda. Paid for the tour through EFT and everything was organised as agreed. We were promptly picked at the airport in Kigali by our very capable driver, Jason and driven safely through the border to Uganda. Everything had been previously organised and accommodation and meals were inclusive for the 3-day tour. Chris had provided a list of things to carry for the tour but we were still unprepared for the water and mud we encountered in the forest so I would suggest that if you are doing a trekking safari in Bwindi, during the rainy season, please carry your gumboots/wellingtons/goloshes that go all the way up to the knee.

I would use this tour company again. They are great!

Excellent Safari Company, A lifetime experience
5/5

Just letting you know that we had a great time, in fact all of our arrangements exceeded our expectations. All of the transfers proceeded faultlessly and the staff from the two local agents in Nairobi and Zanzibar were fantastic, please pass on our compliments, especially to Ali from Twiga in Nairobi, and Exhaud & Fish from Hakims in Zanzibar. We felt safe at the Stanley in Nairobi and the Serena in Stone Town is a charming hotel. Our safaris in Kenya at Elephant Bedroom camp and Mara Leisure camp were a great choice, we are raving to our friends about the accommodation, the locations, the food, the game drives, the guides, the vehicles and of course the animals. It was nice to finish at the 5 star Smile Beach Resort, we felt like movie-stars. Swimming with dolphins was a bonus. Thank you for organising a perfect holiday!

Great Celebration
4/5

I just returned from the 11 Day Uganda/Rwanda/DRC trip with Congo Discovery Safaris and I had a wonderful time. Barack and his brother Ken took very good care of me during this trip. Vincent was my driver throughout Uganda and he is extremely knowledgeable about Ugandan and other African countries’ history and about nature. Barack took over as my driver throughout Rwanda. I felt pretty lucky that I was able to see chimpanzees, gorillas, different bird types and lots of monkeys. I have previously been on a safari in Africa but seeing the primates up close was an incredible experience. We also spent lots of time visiting the villages and meeting local people. The village children were just as amazed at seeing a foreigner as I was with them. My tour was detoured from the DRC due to the closing of Virunga park but Ken and Barack were able to fill in the gaps at the last moment. If ever in this part of the world again, I will definitely purchase a tour from Congo Discovery Safaris.

A fantastic day in Chobe national park and on the Cuando River
Overall rating
5/5

My wife and I booked a day trip from Victoria Falls to Chobe national park. The guide picked us up at the Botswana border and we spend the morning on a river safari at Cuando River. Beautiful view of the river and the landscape around, we get close to the animals like crocodiles, hippos and bathing elephants, and for a bird lover this was an excellent place to spend the morning. We saw kingfishers, egrets, bee-eaters (including the beautiful southern Carmine bee-eater), African Jacana, African Darter Southern red Bishop, African fish eagle and many many other birds.

After lunch we was driving into the Chobe national park and we get an opportunity to see the wildlife from another prospective than we did from the river. During this afternoon we see zebras, giraffes, antelopes, elephants, buffalos etc. etc. and late in the afternoon we was lucky to see a female lion passing a few meter from our car. The animals was relaxed and it was easy to get close to them to get a good view and good pictures. The birding in the park was fantastic with many different beautiful birds.

We was there in March and the weather was fine we just have a short rain shower in the afternoon. The guide was excellent with good knowledge of the park, animals and birds. This was a fantastic day and Chobe is one of my favourite national parks in Africa, and a visit to Victoria Falls are strongly recommended if you are in the area.
