A great safari with Suricata. The safari was well balanced, with visiting all the big parks in the 5 days. Our guide, Elias, was super friendly and knowledgeable about not only the animals but also everything in and around the area. We had a safari with hotel/lodge and the Suricata Boma Lodge upgrade we got was amazing! The food that the cook, Tito, cooked as lunch during the tours was delicious as well. We got a good briefing and debriefing by Dennis and Daniel at the start and end of the safari, in Arusha, and they arranged for good pick-ups from and to the airport.

They listened to all of my preferences and made my bucket list trip an amazing reality.
I found safari bookings and spent several weeks looking over different itinerary options and asked for quotes from a few different companies. I found I wanted a few changes from a normal itinerary and started asking questions from all the agencies. Karen from Shadows was extremely helpful and patient and I wanted to learn as much as possible before deciding. Karen answered all my questions thoroughly and was flexible when it came to booking. After booking, she was great with checking in to make sure I knew what to pack, how to prepare for the trip and to make sure I didn't have any questions.
The trip itself was amazing. Once our guide picked us up, they handled everything regarding transportation, meals and lodging as well as providing us with 3 incredible guides along the way. My husband and I loved the private game drives and the lodges went above and beyond helping me to celebrate my upcoming birthday (much to my embarrassment ;)
I will highly recommend Shadows of Africa to anyone wanted a trip of a lifetime!

Our Safari went way beyond our expectations. Communication from beginning to end was excellent. Everything was well organized, all the staff so friendly and helpful. I wish I could get back to Tanzania by taking a plane! Best of all is Great Image Expedition! It was an incredible and genuinely life-changing safari. They clearly loved the land and the animals, and we gained a lot of knowledge from them. They provide an excellent safari experience, and I would definitely go again!

The two days in Mikumi were really special, Winnie from kihindo tours always informed us with such affection that we did not hesitate to choose this company. Our driver, Michael, knows the park so well that thanks to him we were able to see lions, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, hippos... he knew perfectly where to wait patiently, without chasing us, until the animals came and passed by where we were, but the most important thing is what a good person he is, we also had the privilege of having Haissac as a Spanish translator guide, since our English is horrible, he is Masai and we learned many things with him about the park, the animals, Masai culture, Tanzanian music... I travelled to Zimbabwe from the UK with my husband and 2 children, aged 12 and 15. Debbie started by asking some questions about what we wanted to do in Zimbabwe, then she proposed some really great ideas and we planned the trip from there. In the early stages I was really impressed to see the attention to providing several options, and listening carefully to our budget requirements. The holiday was absolutely fantastic, the places we stayed and the activities we did were all really great and everything was planned and worked like clockwork!
