Great Organization, Best Trip of our Lives!
We went into the organization blind. We knew only that we wanted a 6 nights safari, and we wanted to go to Victoria Falls and to the Okavango Delta. Philippa was incredible. She planned the perfect vacation for our family, making sure to check in with me every step of the way. She took care to change the plans according to what I told her, calling daily during the initial organization to make sure I was satisfied with the ongoing changes. After we had our final proposal, she answered all my questions regarding attire, flights, or other details.
We arrived in Johannesburg and stayed in a hotel near the airport, all booked by Philippa, then the "real" trip began.
We spent 2 nights in Victoria Falls, in the best lodge we could have hoped for, the Old Drift Lodge. During the planning, I had wanted to switch to Victoria Falls Safari Suites, and I am so thankful to Philippa for convincing me to keep the Lodge! We had animals roaming through our hotel, as we were inside the reserve. It was incredible. We also planned for White Water Rafting and for a Horse Riding Safari. Both activities were incredible!
Then we spent 2 nights in Chobe Game Lodge. The road transfer, including the crossing of the border, was perfectly organized. Staying inside the Chobe National Park is really worth it. We saw almost all the animals in our "to-watch" list there.
Then we took a small plane to the Okavango Delta for our last 2 nights. Again, the organization was flawless. The camp was lovely and the game drives exciting!
All the camps, transfers and arrangements were perfectly planned, we never had an issue during the trip.
I am glad I found Giltedge Travel and Philippa, as they gave us an incredible experience! All transfers, lodges, and communications couldn't have been better. Thank you for making this past Christmas unforgettable!

Trip of a life time
My mom and I went on safari for 7 days in Dec. She had chemo in Nov and this was her get out and celebrate trip of a life time. Our guide Kikitu (Evens) was great! We were lucky to have him for our entire trip. Most tourists seemed to have been pasted between drivers depending on where they were going. Everyone was always nice about it though.
It rained the night before we went to Masai Mara and the roads were a bit ruff to say the least! Evens was the one that had pulled out all the other drivers that would get stuck in the mud, but never got stuck himself.
Christmas Eve, late in the afternoon, we arrived at Amboseli park. I forgot the name of the camp... anyways they had lost our reservations for the first night. Evens made some calls and we were put up in a tent for the night. The tent had holes all over and some kind of creature in the bathroom scratching the tent to get in. The second night we were moved and upgraded to a cabin/tent hybrid.
We saw every animal we could think of and then some thanks to Evens. He seemed to know every driver in Kenya and able to find the best places. We would go back again if it didn't take two days to get to Kenya.

A walk around Nairobi
My trip was only short as I was attending a conference.I heard about Maurice from a colleague, so gave him a call.
I was glad I did. He really is a pleasant man who made the walk around the city and the visit to the museum not
only educational but not interesting too.

Excellent.
Jaco was a brilliant tour guide. He gave us great insights into the animals and South African history. His meals were very good too. We really enjoyed the 3 days.

An amazing introduction to the beauty and hospitality of Uganda!
We had an absolutely phenomenal trip to Uganda. We had short time due to work constraints and our group was all arriving at different times. Aaron was the best host, he was prompt, easy to communicate with and so engaging. He made the pick up seamless and all the transport seamless. We also got to unexpectedly squeeze in an extra excursion to the golden back monkeys after an epic day with the silver back gorillas which was so special! The accommodations were good and food was fine as well. We really enjoyed every moment of the trip with him and he was very easy to work with and allowed us to stop for photos and other random detours.

Well organised
Safari Hub put together a wonderful itinerary for my safari in Tanzania. All of the reservations for hotels and activities came together seamlessly, and communication with my travel consultant Remmy was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone looking to plan an incredible trip.

Did not get what was promised
I dont feel that i got what was promised. I booked a 2-day safari but it was just one day. We were picked up at 6.00 in the morning. It was said the trip would be 4-5 hours but took more than 7. Due to the car breaking down we didnt get to eat breakfast until 10.00. Then 2 hours later they said we should have lunch. That was to soon so we ended up eating at a ”restaurant” in the park. The food here was not good.
The drive in the park in the afternoon was great and we saw all the animals we wanted. Our guide Tony was very good.
We were driven to the acommodations TanSwiss around 18.30. The stay here was ok but when we asked our guide about day-2-plans he said we were just going home. No more safari.
In the booking i was promised ”After breakfast from lodge with the packed lunches enjoy en route game drive in Mikumi National Park before depart to Dar es Salaam in which you will arrive in evening”. This booking promises a second day and writng about lunch like that gives you the impression that it will last a couple of hours.
In the morning the guide made it feel like were going for a drive around the outskirts of the park and would see many animals.
One hour after leaving the hotell were out of the park and on our way home. Super short en route game drive with no packed lunches, just one hour on the big road.
The titel of this trip should not be ”best 2-day Mikumi safari” instead ”4 hour safari with lodge stay”
I am sure that there are other companies that offer safari with better service and that can deliver what they promised. So I would not recommend LuiTours.

Amazing once in a life-time tour of the Serengeti
My wife and I enjoyed the great wilderness of Tanzania with Roger from Safari star. Right from initial discussions to customising itineraries and helping us all through as the local guide and friend, Roger did a truly terrific job to make our trip into the wild an amazing experience. Roger is professional, courteous, very well-informed, well-spoken and ultimately very capable as a guide! Strongly recommend Roger and Safari star tours if you’re planning a visit to Tanzania!
