Unforgettable experience in Uganda
Standard Safaris have made our stay in Uganda unforgettable. The safaris and tours have been perfectly guided and we have had continuous assistance and advice throughout our stay. Thank you so much, Brian and Coleb.

He was educational and engaging while also being very personable, he is like family to us!
I went on this trip is a student on study abroad from the US with a group of my fellow students from our university. The trip was coordinated by our school so we didn’t handle any of the booking and planning ourselves. But the entire experience from the moment we left until the moment we returned to our hostel was phenomenal. The tour itself was filled with beautiful sights and we got to have experiences outside of game drives that were meaningful and an opportunity to connect with the community we came to get to know. Our guide was so knowledgeable about the areas we were visiting, it made us feel more connected to the sites we were seeing as well as safe navigating each place. I had a wonderful time and hope to come back to Namibia and take another tour again!

Great Supporting team and Ultimate Trip
Our journey with Mateys Wild Tours was an unforgettable adventure from start to finish. We began with the challenging 8 days Lemosho Route to Kilimanjaro's summit, where Mr. Mike's exceptional leadership and expertise guided us to a successful and rewarding ascent. Following our climb, we had the privilege of visiting Msamaria Kids Center, where we offered our support to the orphaned children—a deeply touching and meaningful experience. Our adventure continued with a 2-day safari through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire, expertly led by the incredibly friendly Swahibu, who shared his vast knowledge of the region’s wildlife. The trip concluded with a refreshing swim at the Chemka Hot Springs, followed by a seamless transfer to the airport. We are especially grateful to Isaac, who worked tirelessly to accommodate our every request, ensuring that our trip was perfectly tailored to our needs. The outstanding service and personal touches provided by Mateys Wild Tours made this journey truly special, and we highly recommend them for an exceptional and meaningful experience in Tanzania.

Amazing Trip to see the Gorilla !
I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a 6-day, 5-night tour to Uganda, guided by Audence. The experience was nothing short of incredible, and I am thrilled to share my positive review of the service provided.
Audence was an exceptional guide, showcasing his deep knowledge and passion for Uganda's wildlife and culture. His attention to detail and commitment to ensuring a memorable experience made the entire trip seamless and enjoyable.
The highlight of the tour was undoubtedly the gorilla trekking. Witnessing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat was awe-inspiring and a truly unforgettable experience. Audence's expertise made the trek informative and engaging, adding to the overall wonder of the adventure.
I wholeheartedly recommend Audence and this tour company to anyone considering a visit to Uganda. Their dedication to providing an outstanding experience is evident, and I am confident that future travelers will be as impressed as I was. This tour is a must for anyone looking to explore the beauty and wonder of Uganda.
Thank you, Audence, for an amazing journey. I hope this review encourages more people to choose your company and discover the magic of Uganda.
Guides often lack adequate knowledge about wildlife and the environment
Tourist line safaris are known for providing subpar experiences that fall short of expectations. Guides often lack adequate knowledge of the wildlife and environment, leading to an uninformative experience. I noticed their guides were new. Vehicles are poorly maintained, making travel uncomfortable and sometimes unsafe. Customer service is also lacking, with complaints about rude or unresponsive staff common. Additionally, the housing provided is often below standard, with reports of unsanitary conditions and misleading descriptions. Overall, the company fails to deliver the quality and professionalism expected from a safari tour operator. Many customers feel that they are not getting good value for their money, making tourist line safaris a less than ideal choice for those looking for an unforgettable safari adventure.

Great Safari Experience
My wife and I used Furaha Tours & Safaris, based in Arusha, as a tour operator for our Tanzanian safari in Aug. 2024, our first trip ever to Tanzania and Africa actually. We had lots of questions and weren’t sure what to expect. Phil, the owner of Furaha, was always available to answer them for us. He was patient, prompt, customer focused and precise in his responses. He was very flexible in customizing our itinerary based on our needs. He ensured that we had the most pleasant experience from the moment we landed in Arusha to the time of our departure. We highly recommend Furaha Tours & Safaris as a tour company for a safari expedition in Tanzania.
Our guide during the safari was Rajab. Getting a great tour guide is a vital component of the safari experience as you would be spending the next 5-7 days or more depending on your itinerary with your guide. Rajab is a fantastic guide with a wealth of knowledge in wildlife, a safe driver and has a great eye for spotting wildlife in the bushes of Serengeti or the grasses of the Ngorongoro crater. He is passionate about his job, has an immense sense of pride to be a Tanzanian, and a great off-road driver on the challenging terrain you will encounter. On our trip, we visited Northen Serengeti with the hope to witness the Mara River crossing of the wildebeest during their Great Migration. Watching a river crossing requires luck, great driving skill and an intuition to predict where a migration is likely to occur. Rajab brought the latter two to the table and with an element of luck, gave us a once in a lifetime experience of witnessing 3 crossings in a matter of a couple of hours, not to mention, with the best spot in the house. On our trip back to the airport, we came across a roadblock to the airport due to the passing of the Tanzanian President’s motorcade who was visiting Arusha for a conference. We were not sure if we would make it to the airport in time and were quite nervous. Rajab worked with a couple of other safari drivers and coordinated a plan to do some off-road driving in the city to get us close enough to the airport to be able to make it on time when the motorcade eventually passed. Due to his actions, we not only made it on time to the airport, but instead, we had some time to freshen up for our long journey back home. We very highly recommend Rajab as he is an exceptional individual and tour guide.

Our tour was beautifully organized, accommodating all of our wishes, and superbly led by our guide.
From the moment Adam picked us up late at night from the airport until he dropped us off 7 days later, our time was filled with such vivid impressions of the land, the wildlife, and the people that I could hardly sleep at night for all of the images running through my mind. We saw all of the "big 5" as well as so many other wonderful birds, reptiles, and mammals. In that week we had many visits with cheetahs, lions, leopards and two more cats up close, the serval and caracal cats. These last two are unusual enough that Adam said he had never seen all 5 cats in one week before. How lucky for us! Adam spotted birds far and near that we would certainly never have noticed on our own. He knew a lot of them and researched the ones he wasn't sure of, as we are both avid birders. Additionally, Adam is an excellent driver and we always felt safe!
I really appreciate the way Emma worked with us to find the right sort of safari for our particular interests. The lodges where we stayed were very comfortable and the dinners there were excellent. The staff people were helpful and very polite and welcoming everywhere we visited.
I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a marvelous safari experience.

Royal Star Expeditons was great for planning safari and hotels at Masai Mara. They also planned our flights and transportation. Exactly the company I was looking for.

Amazing Botswana safari trip organised by Explore & Travel Africa.
We found Michelle at Explore & Travel Africa very helpful in arranging our wonderful safari in Botswana. After listening to our requirements she provided different safari options, and also answered our various questions about undertaking a mobile (camping) safari. She planned the perfect trip for us around the Chobe National Park in Botswana. The mobile safari included three different sites over the nine days trip. It was well organised, had excellent staff including an expert guide with great tracking skills, good meals, and the luxury camping included single and double beds and an ensuite bathroom. We got to see all the main animals and birds in the national park. We could not have been happier with the way Michelle communicated with us, the trip planning was first class and so thankful for this unique experience. We recommend Explore & Travel Africa to anyone interested in a memorable safari trip.
