The safari trip was just great and I really would recommend sunny safaris and Edward as a guide.
We really had a great Trip with sunny safaris.
The booking with Jessica was uncomplicated via email and from a retrospective view everything was well organised according to our wishes. We decided to visit tarangire, Serengeti and ngorongoro.
The only thing that we would like to note, is that in our opinion the payment procedure could be improved. They require a 50% upfront payment, but it was no problem to just pay 25%. We transferred the money via foreign bank transfer (where additional transfer costs occur) and at the end 50 USD were not forwarded to sunny safari (NOT sunny safaris fault - maybe some additional bank fees, we don't know). The remaining amount we paid via credit card upon arrival. Please be aware that almost all over Tanzania additional 5% are charged when paying by credit card. I would appreciate, if sunny safaris would inform about that beforehand, since the booking of the safari is in many cases the first contact with the Tanzanian payment procedures.
Our pick up for the safari at our hotel was punctual. They use a toyota land cruiser (like most of the safari operators) suitable for 7p+driver. We were 4, so we had enough space also for our luggage. The car has a sun roof, so you can stand during the drive and look out for animals. The roof protects you from the sun.
Our driver Edward was excellent. He explained everything and was open for every question and every joke. During the safari he was always trying to find the right spots to see new animals. So he found us "the great five" and many more.
The lodges were all very nice. The first two lodges were tented lodges and really pretty. Friendly staff and all very clean. First we stayed at the amazing Tarangire Simba Tented lodge. Zebras are coming near to the lodge in the evening for drinking. In the morning we had the zebras directly in front of our room. Second we stayed at Serengeti bush camp -also very nice lodge- and third at ngorongoro wildlife hotel -a little bit old but the view to the crater is amazing.
All over we had the perfect safari experience. Again special thanks to Edward.

Amazing service from start to finish!
Geoffrey and his team were amazing, and everything was well organized for our 5D/4N trip to the Serengeti/Ngorongoro crater. From the timeliness of communication prior to arrival, to being picked up from the airport, to the stays at Geoffrey's hotel, and the safari itself, everything was seamless. When booking safaris you will often be placed in the hands of a third-party operator with people that have booked with different companies. What separates Meru Slopes from the rest is Geoffrey's service and how helpful he is. He was able to have his staff help us with getting a SIM card and drivers getting us to places that we wanted to eat at. Staying at his hotel is also a bonus, as you'll see alot of people that booked other safaris also staying the hotel. Geoffrey and his team definitely go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need!

The wildlife, scenery and everything was totally awesome! Suricata safaries gave us the best of the best. Frederick, our guide was great, knew a lot about animals, drove carefully, was funny, helpful and beatifull personality!The Chef Dionysos was a magician,who made us the best food, even if I am vegetarian, I had plenty of choices to eat different stuff every day!Hilary also took great care of us, and was all the time very helpfull. Great experience
To be honest I expected a bigger wildlife in the Kruger National Park.
sometimes we were driving ten or twenty miles wothout seeing animals.

Very good safari experience
We received a very cordial and formal treatment from Paper Jet. In particular Justin with whom we were in contact offered us different alternatives and suggestions to have a good experience in the short time we had available (2 nights). In the Mavela lodge in which we were staying the attention was very good and we enjoyed the time of the game drives early in the morning and at sunset. The food and facilities were of very good quality as well as the treatment of the guides and the employees of the lodge. The grass was very high which conspired to see a lot of wildlife but we could also appreciate rhinos, cheetahs and lions in the different game drives. The transfer from Durban to the lodge in the company of Justin were very enjoyable in the company of Justin with whom we could talk about different topics. On our way back, as we had time before leaving from Durban to Johanesbourg, we were able to visit Durban enjoying a city tour that we had not originally planned.
