Amazing safari experience!
5/5

We just returned from an amazing Safari in Kenya and Tanzania. Before booking anything we read many reviews which helped us form our opinion of what to do, where to go and what safari company to choose. Here is a review of our amazing journey and hope this helps anyone making any decisions….

We booked our Safari with Spirit of Kenya and from the very beginning their customer service was excellent. The person in the office replying to our emails, Tiago, was very patient and helpful. He responded to all our emails very quickly and helped us understand the process of booking the Safari very well. Tiago gave us different pricing options and explained everything in detail every step of the way while tailoring the safari to our needs. This service was one of the main reasons why we chose Spirit of Kenya from among other Safari Operators. Although we booked everything with Spirit of Kenya, the safari in Tanzania’s side was taken care of by Soul of Tanzania.

Our first part of the Safari was in Kenya and we had Stephen who was our guide and game driver. Stephen was very experienced, knowledgeable, careful driver and took good care of us. We did the Kenya part in a 4x4 minivan which was good but maybe in hindsight we should have upgraded for a 4x4 Land Cruiser as the minivan could not go everywhere due to the limitations of the vehicle and very muddy roads. This was only a small issue and Stephen still managed to drive us around in Masai Mara and see many animals up close. The tented accommodation, Julia’s River Camp, was very good and the staff were very welcoming, attentive and helpful! The food with Spirit of Kenya was good and we enjoyed our picnic in the bush!

Next we needed to cross the border and start our journey in Tanzania. Be prepared for a very long and tiring drive!

In Tanzania and we visited Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. When we crossed the border we were greeted by Vincent who was our guide for the next part of the journey. Vincent was a great guide who drove us around in a very good 4x4 Land Cruiser (which was a great upgrade from the 4x4 Minivan - This also included a socket for charging our cameras and phones). Vincent was very sharp, adventurous and had hawk-like-eyes who could spot the smallest animal from miles away! We also had a few laughs together when we took a series of photographs with him on Christmas day in the middle of Serengeti Park!

In Serengeti we saw many animals and were much more abundant from what we saw in Masai Mara. This could be due to the time of the year we visited these parks. There were days were we saw up to 20 lions in one day! On our last day we went to Ngoronoro and visited the crater where we saw plenty of animals in the most beautiful surroundings!
In Serengeti we stayed at Pumzika Tented Camps which had a beautiful setting and beautiful tents. Their hospitality was also very good and friendly. In Serengeti we spent full days out and Soul of Tanzania provided us with hot lunches, including fruit, wine and coffee!!

At Ngorongoro we stayed at Rhino Lodge which was a basic and decent lodge. We somehow prefered the tented camps as these were more adventurous, however at Ngorongro the climate was very cold so we appreciated sleeping at a permanent lodge.

At the end of our safari Vincent drove us (a long drive!) to Arusha were we finished our safari and Soul of Tanzania also provided us with a complimentary airport transfer 2 days later.

We are very happy to have experienced this special part of the world with Spirit of Kenya and Soul of Tanzania! We managed to see hundreds of animals including the Big 5 on many occasions! Thank you all for making this experience such an unforgettable special one and for making new friends along the way!

Trip of a Lifetime
5/5

We traveled to Kenya and Zanzibar with Africa FlashMC and did a four day Masai Mara, two day Lake Naivasha safari and spent 4 nights in Zanzibar!

It was a trip of a lifetime and Africa FlashMC and manager Peter made sure everything worked smooth. From the pre trip organization to the very last minute Peter was always available to answer our questions, full fill our wishes and arrange our transfers.

Masai Mara safari driver Patrick was always on time and informative and did his best to show us as many animals as possible. Hotels in Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Zanzibar were top notch and good value for money. Despite a slight mistake in a hotel booking, Peter made sure we got an upgrade on another hotel and despite some slight delay in some transfers (30-45 mins) Peter reassured us that the driver was on his way through Whatsapp.

During a non planned day of transfer from Nairobi to Zanzibar Peter made sure that we would visit some sights in Nairobi to spend our time before our flight and on our trip back he offered a complimentary airport hotel for our trip convenience. Generally every day and minute of our trip was well planned and excecuted and we felt we were always looked after.

Some comments:
- Make sure to confirm that you will get binoculars as there were no binoculars in the car
- During our stay in Lake Naivasha the initial booking in our choice hotel was 2 nights, though without being informed we were moved to another hotel for the second night. The move was from SOPA lodge to Enashipai hotel, which was of same standards but the surprise was a bit uncomfortable.

We would recommend Africa FlashMc for a safari as the service is excellent and professional.

5-Star Service
5/5

Zambezi Expedition Travel and Tours was recommended to me by my host travel lodge in Zimbabwe. I lucked out because they were the most courteous, professional, timely and attentive operators I encountered. I spent nearly a month on holiday in the south and southeast regions of Africa (South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana) which included several safaris, experiences, adventures and tours. By far, my experience with Simon and the others affiliated with ZETT ranked #1. I booked ZETT for a visit to Victoria Falls, the Lions Walk Encounter, a cruise on the Zambezi River, and a day trip to Chobe National Park in Botswana. Each experience was great, though I did have a hiccup at the immigration department coming back into Zimbabwe. This had nothing to do with the tour company. I did not have enough U.S. cash to pay for a second Visa for reentry and the Zimbabwe Immigration Department claimed they did not have a credit card machine for the transaction — a claim I highly doubt. Traveler Tip: Take enough U.S. dollars for incidentals BEFORE arriving in Zimbabwe and be sure to obtain a “double” or “multiple” entry visa in advance at the airport on arrival. Other than this hiccup, the direct bookings through this tour company and each experience was great. I’d highly recommend.

Great Experience

What a great time I had on the Moorland Safaris. The driver was very professional and knowledgable about the animals and where to find them. The food was fantastic and the chef did such a great job. I highly recommend their safari and will be back.

Great Experience of Safari in Kenya with Baboon.
5/5

The team baboon safari is excellent and keen on satisfying the customer to show everything possible in the savannas of Kenya.
The staff is friendly and cooperative. They are punctual and attentive.
They are wise enough to understand the taste and choice of the visitor and try to fulfill every small demand of us as visitor of the safari.
The driver is not only the guide but the person we got is very good reader of the wildlife. He was knowing each and every corner and almost every species of animal and bird in Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha and Amboseli park.
He also tried to justify our personal needs as we as a group member of all different nationalities.
Food, stay and transfers were satisfactory.
Only negative thing was in Miti Mingi Camp, the nights were complete dark without electricity as they were running on generator, but this should have mentioned earlier by the Safari. But in that dark night of Masai Mara, you can have unforgettable excellent view of sky full of stars.
I will give 85 out of 100 to "Baboon".

She was kind and hospitable
5/5

We were taken for safaris for 4 days by expert guides who had a knowledge of the local fauna. We saw all the Big Five. The tour was private as it was stated in its overview. Masai Mara was spectacular with close up viewings of leopards, lions, rhinos and ,among others. We were there in the end of September was almost ending. but we really enjoyed.
