They are very friendly and good professionals!

We arrived a bit late in our hotel in Maun and we were not hoping to be able to organize anything for the day, because most of the most of the mokoro tours were already started. Luckily the staff from our hotel offered to contact Gee and he was kind enough to pick us up asap and he drove us to the mokoro station. There we met Top Gun, our poler, who is a very interesting guy, very talented in telling stories and many more but he's mostly focused on the delta, it's wild life and preservation. He has a lot of knowledge about wild animals, birds and plants from the area and it was a pleasure having him as our guide, in our one day, mokoro trip. Really nice guys, thank you!

Dedicated, available and excellent!

We (my wife and 5 year old) went on a 3 day safari to Mikumi National Park with Promised Land Tours, and they were a pleasure to deal with throughout the process.
Mary went above and beyond in accomodating our needs before and during our trip.
Everything was fantastic, and we can't wait to book our next Safari to the Serengeti with them!

Did not deliver on promises
2/5

We went on a six day safari organized by Caren at Nashibe. The parks are of course very nice and one of the lodges we stayed at was excellent (Severin in Tsavo West).

However, In Amboseli we didn't get the accommodation that we agreed on before paying the deposit (one of the lodges were changed to one that we would not have booked if we had known). The pickup was two hours late (which we were told only after calling them from the parking lot). We felt that the driver, whilst driving safely, had very little knowledge about animals and it felt that he did not know his way around the parks. The radio in the car (used to communicate with other drivers) did not seem to work. The description of the safari days in the itinerary included things that were infeasible due to time/distance. For example, for Tsavo East the itinerary gave the impression that we would see the Galana River on our afternoon game drive - which turned out to be 120 km away. At the end of the tour, we had to wait for half a day for the train in Voi. Only after arguing with the driver we agreed that this time was to be spent at the lodge and not at the train station. The final drop-off at Diani Beach turned out to be four hours later than promised.

When providing this feedback to Caren after the tour, she did not respond.

Experienced your operator
5/5

The Safari experience was amazing. We saw a lot of animals and we spent a lot of time looking at them in order to have enough pictures and videos. We did 7 days tour which means a lot of hours in the jeep with our guide while driving, but this is the “sacrifice” you need to do if you want to see a lot of animals. I recommend that if you like nature, animals and adventure.

I found Serengeti Smile via google and was the first company who responded. Jeremiah was always willing to help answer my questions which helped us a lot to plan our trip.

My driver/guide Champiwas a great guide and a driver. He showed us all big five and he showed & thought us a lot not just about animals but also about Tanzania.

I recommend both Serengeti Smile and Champion to everyone if you want an once a life time safari trip

Amazing experience
5/5

We have been on a 5 days safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Park . Everything was incredible ! Our guide Omar has been amazing, he knows all the corners of all the parks and he spotted a lot of animals . He also taught us many things about all the beasts and he made us watch wildebeests crossing Mara River.
Every day David cooked delicious meals for all the group.
The entire experience has been unforgettable

Tour guide Francis was great
5/5

We booked the 7 day Safari for Masai Mara, Nakuru, Navasha, Hells Gate and Amboseli. Our guide was Francis and he was great! Very knowledgable of the parks, animals and he always made sure that we were getting the best out of every place and atmosphere in the jeep. He was able to navigate in all parks and get us to where the action is. What we would recommend to future guests is to always double check where and what accommodation the agency booked for you. In one night, we were placed in a different camp than what we had in our itinerary and we were disappointed because they placed us in a room which did not meet standard requirements and were clearly overbooked. With Francis’ help, the camp moved us to a better room the next night. The best parks were Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli.
