About: Uganda
Uganda, fantastic place to see the gorillas
Overall rating
4/5

We had a fantastic time in Uganda. The people were really friendly, the birding was great (although we're not really birders) and we felt safe. The outstanding attraction has to be the gorillas. The hour that we spent with them was totally magical, I once in a lifetime opportunity which tops any other wildlife experience I've had. Aside from the gorillas, you can probably get better sighting animals (especially the large cats) in other countries, mainly because of the scrub and jungle landscape in Uganda. However, the gorillas make up for any lack of lions, leopards etc.

About: Biwakwango
Biwakwango is the kind of tour operator I'd like to hire for every trip throughout the world.
5/5

I have appreciated mainly Thierry, our guide and his staff : the driver and the cook. Thierry is quite a group manager. Everything is planned and, if a problem occurs, he resolves it quickly using his cell phone.
I enjoyed the 3 day hike through Tsitsikama during which we were informed by Thierry about the local fauna and flora and saw some wild animals and met a black manga and a cobra ! The safari in Addo Elephant national park was very exciting. The accommodation was on a whole very good and the food in the various restaurants gorgious. Also our private cook, Cardy (right spelling ?) is a true "chef". She cooks delicious vegetarian dishes, taking care of the vegetarian customers. Only one negative point is the hiring of this old uncomfortable bus which drove us to the southern part of South Africa. So, congratulations to Biwakwango and long live Biwakwango !

About: Biwakwango
Excellent organisation, with a very experimented manager, cool, sympatical, dynamic and informative
5/5

Excellent organisation, with a very experimented manager, a cool, sympatical, dynamic and informative man. Every detail was "well thinked". Bewakwango achive a performance because it's hard to organise a tour for 17 persons. As soon as possible, we were housed in beautiful bed and breakfast or Gesthouse or we enjoyed very good small lunched from the coocker. The safari tour, in the Addo park elephant, was a delight. And the trail (hike) in Tsitsikama, too. Thank you, Thierry.

An incredible first African Safari
Overall rating
5/5

South Africa has many things to offer and the variety is just exceptional. In Cape Town the amazing view of the Table Mountain as a backdrop to the Victoria Waterfront during sunset is seen to be believed. The scenery on the Garden Route and the food topped with a winetasting day makes for a memorable holiday. The crowning glory of a South African tour is the private safaris....... and ours was at the Thornybush Game Reserve.
The lodge is simply outstanding with the room overlooking a water hole. The sightings of smaller game coming to the waterhole while having a shower is, I suppose "exclusive"....
Got the big five, including the sight of a leopard jumping from one tree to another as well as a baby elephant rubbing its forehead on the side of the open land rover, right where I was sitting!!!!
The meals were great and the price was extremely reasonable. The tracker was exceptional....
The lodge also organizes walks and that is where the tracker explains the differences between the pug marks of a lion and a leopard.
