Review about Kruger National Park by Nature lover

Kruger offers excellent facilities and owing to the variety of the various biomes is a must see and do. Take the night game drives and organize a bush braai - somewhere in the bush with no fences and a great chef to prepare your food while you enjoy drinks next to the fire - great experience.

So much to see and do in the close proximity to big cities near-by.

Review about Karoo National Park by Nature lover

The Karoo is a unique biome and if you enjoy the spectacular peace and quiet of the semi desert with its abundance of specially adapted plants, animals and insects this is for you. Nice pool and good restaurant - and some ancient fossils on display.

The reason I ranked South Africa so high is because not only is Kruger a fantastic place to view wildlife in wide open, endless plains, but heading south to Capetown and the coast was some of the most breathtaking country I've ever seen. The natural and cultural combination was so very interesting. Because English is widely spoken, and there are profound European influences mixed with traditional African villages, it was a very rich experience. The opportunities for adventure are endless.

Nice for a day outing if you want to see some game and don't have much time. Adjacent Sun City resort is great for golfing and just relaxing and of course it is all set in an ancient volcano.

Tanzania has the most parks to explore and they are not fenced like other locations. Also there are many local tribes with fascinating cultures and the people are friendly!

Did not visit the Kruger itself but am to understand that it does get very touristy. If you can afford it, definitely try to go for one of the private game reserves with unfenced borders (joining the Kruger) and intimate safari lodges.

Nice destination - you will see Elephants galore - not a great variety of other animals - accommodation is good but can become crowded with day visitors
