The wildlife was magnificant. We've seen all of the big animals, except for the Rhino (obviously:( ). Lodging was also fantastic and a hippo joined us at the breakfast once, until he was spooked away by one of the guards.
The guide was alright, knew the wildlife just fine, but his driving skills were quite bad. We got stuck in the pile of sand, and he literally had no knowledge how to use the winch... The jeep was also very old and got broken down quite a few times.

While staying at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge in excellent selfcatering accommodation, we found ourselves right in the bush close to Victoria Falls. The highlight was seeing herd of buffalo coming to drink at the waterhole of Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. the option was there to do your own game drives but without a 4x4 the thick sand didn't allow us to go far. The Zambezi brings the wildlife to the banks to drink. Excellent afternoon sunsets game drives. Lions, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, sebra, etc.

Lions on trees, thousands of flamingoes on the lake, rhinos ..... a one day trip to see a great variety.

...we shall come back again. We met George and his team in february 2012, and they just did the best job, we could imagin. So we came back for the Migration in 2013, it was again a great safari, and the rest of the trip, 14 days from Nairobi to Naivasha, Masai Mara, down to Mombasa by train, stay at a nice beach hotel in Mombasa and back to Nairobi by plane, was just perfectly organised. Best value for money, we strongly recommend and shall come back.

The Country is so lush and green and is packed full of wildlife wherever you look. The rolling hills and mountain scenery is stunning to wake up to, it's not over crowded and the lodges are all small taking on only a handful of guests at a time. There are birds galore even just in the hotels surrounding gardens and numerous other reptile, butterfly and primate species just doing what it does everyday and you get a real feel of nature and serenity.

This was my first visit to Africa, so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but I found Tanzania to be as wonderful as I was expecting it to be. My final tally after two weeks was 180 bird species and 35 mammal species, and these impressive totals are hardly unusual. The parks are largely unspoiled, and if you travel in the low season (I went in early March, which is a slow period) you don't have to worry about the overcrowding that can happen in the more popular parks. (All the safari drivers talk to each other by radio to report interesting sightings, so when something exciting is seen there can be a minor traffic jam. The closest to that that I saw was at a kopje where a mother leopard was playing with her two cubs; about ten safari vehicles gathered at the base to watch her. But most of the time, we could drive along and not see any other vehicles.)

Just next to the capital, Nairobi NP offers an astonishing high diversity of wildlife and might be the only place where you can capture a photo with giraffs and skyskratchers in the background.

Kenya has so many national parks to choose from. From the world famous Masai Mara National Park to the Nairobi national park and the Tsavo national park. I loved the experience and the warmth of the people.
