Susan of Discover Africa has been a one-of-kind caring and knowledgeable tour counselor.
We booked our safari trip with Susan of Discover Africa. Susan has been very caring, patient and professional. She listened to our requests and questions patiently and responded promptly. When she discovered that a larger group’s booking with the same camp as our booking had overlap, she reached out to us and suggested alternative camps to maintain the possibility of an intimate safari experience. Our entire trip to the three camps has been a wonderful experience. We saw many animals easily in Amboseli. The guide Dickson was really great, and we learned a lot about the animal behavior and their ecosystem. The Elewana Tortilis camp was great with an intimate atmosphere and very friendly staff. The Governor’s camp had access to a larger area of wildlife so one doesn’t get the feel that animals are everywhere. But we did get to see a lot of them. The highlights included seeing large herds of elephants (more than 40) reaching the Mara River bank, drinking water and contemplating crossing the river, and seeing lions feasting on their kill, and seeing a leopard patiently waiting for a group of impalas and finally making a hunt, albeit unsuccessful. The great migration completed about two weeks ago. Our guide Issac explained that the distinction between dry and rainy season is no longer that clear, there has been more rain in Tanzania around this time in recent years so fewer wildebeests have crossed deep into the Mara area in the last five years and they have returned south earlier. The Governor’s camp was also very good but one doesn’t get as personal receptions from the management as one gets from the Elewana properties. The Elewana Loisaba property had exceptionally warm staff members and management—we would like to single out our meals server Ali for his warm hospitality, in addition to its breathtaking views from the tents and through much of its conservancy. It’s harder to spot some of the animals due to its terrains and bushes, but we did get to see many beautiful animals, including the precious rhinos and large families of giraffes. All in all we have had a wonderful experience in our eight days of safari trip over there camps. This has been a great experience and we can’t thank Susan enough for her help.

Amazing experience!
We are happy to have hired Suricata Safari, we had an incredible time. We were very lucky to have had our guide Rocky, he taught us about the animals, the places, the culture and made us laugh a lot (this is just the beginning). The food was exquisite, our chef was Tito. The campsites were very good too. Everything was as agreed.
We will definitely be back, thank you very much to all the staff

5-day safari it was amazing
The 5-day safari that we book with Suricata Safari it was beyond our expectations.
Rocky it was our guide for the Safari, and he did an amazing job, teaching us about the animals, the landscapes, making us laugh and sharing his knowledge. We will always remember your words: THIS. IS. JUST. THE BEGINNING.
Also we want to say the food it was delicious, our chef Tito delight us with his food.
We were so lucky, we see the big 5 on day 2, including bunch of lions, 2 leopards, a chetah with his baby, giraffes, elephants, monkeys, and many more animals.
Definitely will recommend book a safari tour with Suricata.

Good driver, nice hotels, wonderful nature, car could have been better
Our driver Moses was very good and really managed to get us to the best spots to see the animals. Also, driving in the highway with traffic requires good skills and Moses did fantastic. Regarding hotels, they were really comfortable and the food was good. The only thing that could have been better is the car. We were told we were getting a 4x4 and that was not the case. After I complained we changed car, but had a detour of 2 hours to get the 4x4. The 4x4 we got was a very worn out toyota bus converted into a "safari car". I would strongly suggest to get a decent Toyota Landcruiser for your safaris (as 95% of people do).

Bluecrane Safaris is terrific!
My husband and I took a 13 day safari in Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. It was absolutely wonderful. Our guide, John, was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and fun to be with. The lodgings were terrific, and the price was very reasonable. Best of all, we saw so many wonderful animals! Bluecrane Safaris took care of all the details, so all we had to do was enjoy the trip. We saw people on safaris from other tour companies who were not so lucky; they had problems with transportation, lodging, etc. Our trip was as smooth as could be. I highly recommend Bluecrane Safaris.

professional and thorough service
The tour staff and the staff at all of the restaurants and properties were top-notch with efficiency and professionalism. Everything was always on time and as expected. The food was always very good! The tour guides and the Safari guides were knowledgeable and friendly. All of the staff at the accommodations couldn't be more accommodating. The tour provided exactly what it offered. In its descriptions and itinerary.
as many others have stated I could've done more time in Cape Town especially since we were there during rainy season. I also would've liked to have seen more active experiences offered. Like biking, hiking, kayaking. I do understand that time was Limited. I've seen many beautiful places in the world. And had my breath taken away. Nowhere else in the world could I or did I experience safaris. this is what makes the travel all the way to Africa so worth it. It's an incredibly unique experience. Go touchdown tours did a fabulous job giving us this opportunity. we went on at least six different safaris. We saw all of the "big five"

Great tour leader
Our tour leader, Mr. Focus, was amazing. He was nice and knowledgable and shared alot of facts regarding different animals life style. He always tried to find different animals and provide a best angle for us to watch them. He respected our wishes to stay longer to watch migration in north.
food was good and hotels were clean. Unfortunately, alot of them didn’t have proper wifi.
There are few complains. The main one is, it seems the tour company paid for 48 hours Serengeti park entrance fee while we supposed to stay three days there. we supposed to stay in center serengeti for one day and two days in north serengeti. while it was not easy to do that by this limited time (48hrs). So after one day staying in center and one day at north, we had to change our plan from second day at north to center. Although our game drive on center also was short on third day which is a disappointed.
Also it was better if we had more detailed plan of day to day activities before starting the tour. It was not clear to us how many hours we are going to do game drives per day when we booked the tour. Eventhough they mentioned the hours of transfer per day, it was not even close to reality. We had much longer transfer time each day, almost double to what they mentioned. So the game drive per day was max 2-3 hours. It seems the person who arrange and plan the tour, he never went actually on the tour or not talk to their tour leaders to share a more realistic safari plan.
Besides, planning, everything else was good, especially our tour leader, Mr. Focus.

It's worth taking the trail to see Kilimanjaro
We did the 1-Day Shira Plateau-Kilimanjaro Hiking. The guide was attentive and kind. It's not a very tiring trail.
