Review about Lake Manyara National Park by ~lustedtowander~
Arrive early to avoid the crowds, and you can watch a lovely sunrise over the alkaline plains of Lake Manyara. And go soon - unfortunately, the borders of the park are slowly being pinched by development.

Review about Ngorongoro Crater by ~lustedtowander~
The animals are there, in one compact space. And so are the people. But it is quite unique - the early morning drive to the crater rim is often foggy and wet, and the steep descent an adventure itself. If your time is brief, and you crave instant animal gratification, go here. If you have more time and the inclination - make the bumpy, dusty drive to Olduvai Gorge, request Lucas as your guide, and revel in hominid history.
A warning: There is a fee to enter the Ngorongoro Conservation area. You must pay again if you want to go into the Ngorongoro Crater. And you must pay again to enter the Serengeti. This traveler thinks that is too much paying.

Review about Khaudum National Park by ~lustedtowander~
Khaudum is a difficult safari destination. Deep sand is tricky driving, and the thick bush keeps the wildlife hidden. That said, you will have the park mostly to yourself! But do keep an eye on your shoes. Hyena love them.

Great Bush Vibe
Khutse started off a disappointment for us as they had made a double booking and the specific camp requested was not available. We then had to camp at a different camp that was quite far from where most of the wildlife roamed. If it wasn't for a great Cheetah viewing the wildlife would not have mediocre. It was however an enjoyable bush experience and we were refunded for our accommodation. We shortened out trip with one night because it was just to cold at night.

Review about Central Kalahari Game Reserve by JacoBrits
Well developed but still authentic bush.

Very Rustic
Khutse Game Reserve is located on the southern border of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve both very remote and undeveloped destinations. These reserves are notorious as very authentic bush destination with wild animals including lions often entering campsites at night.
Ours was a self drive trip and we carried everything including fresh water, extra fuel, etc. Campsites were unfenced with basic amenities including open-air pit toilet and shower cubicles. Note you have to supply and heat your own water.
Game species were not prolific, sparse would be a more appropriate description. This is definitely not a mainstream tourist destination and more suitable for those who have an appreciation for just being out in the African bush…
