Custom tour that fulfilled expectation and beyond!
5/5

Professional, personal and extremely well curated according to budget. We came to Hone to Africa looking for a mid-range expense private tour of Uganda and Tanzania for 9-days. Elias put together an itinerary that enabled us to see everything we wanted and more, in an instant, with pricing that was under budget and accomodation options that were really nice and quite unique. It almost seemed too good to be true. But Home to Africa delivered even more once the safari began. Karim was our guide, an ex-history teacher and animal enthusiast, we got to know uganda better than an encyclopaedia with him. He was amazing, informative, very well organised, kept us informed of our movements and simply made the trip a joy. Elias kept in constant contact to ensure we were travelling well too. I was expecting good for the budget we had booked on, but we got AAA excellent. Highly recommended.

Well organised, very helpful operator.
4/5

Ngutu were a third party operator for our safari to the Serengeti. They were very well organised and ensured we had a full and exciting itinerary. The owner and your co-ordinator Lord, was very kind and helped us to do everything we wanted to. His guide, Salehe, was happy to answer questions as we explored the game parks, but could have been more attentive to guests needs and comfort, communication about daily activities and when they would occur, as well as information regarding the geography and animals that we encountered. It felt like he was in a rush to tick the minimum of guests expectations and get home from the safari as quickly as possible. I would recommend this company, but I would suggest that a guide of greater enthusiasm and customer sensitivity be requested.

Bucket list trip of a lifetime.
5/5

This was our first trip to Africa, to mark our 50th anniversary. We had spent a lot of time researching safaris online, ending up quite confused about where and when to go. We arranged a meeting with Chris after finding the Safari Partners online; he took the time to find out what we wanted to see and a few days later sent us a proposal covering the animals we wanted to see at the time the flowers would be out in South Africa.
Chris booked us into 3 luxury tented camps in Kenya and 1 in Botswana. All were small camps with excellent facilities, friendly and efficient staff and all featured excellent meals and hospitality. Our guides were all excellent and we had a fantastic experience. We flew between camps, the connections Chris had set up all worked seamlessly.
We had a 2 day break in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. We had to fly into Livingston, Zambia due to airline schedules, but again Chris had helped us with the visas needed and we were met and transported through the border and to our lodge on the Zimbabwe side.
We ended our Africa adventure with 10 days in South Africa, at Cape Town and driving the Garden Route. Once again we were met at the airport and transported as promised and enjoyed the friendly, efficient small hotel Chris had booked, as well as the tours that had been arranged. The drive along the Garden Route was set up with short, leisurely drives. We had a good experience at all the places we stayed. We were impressed that the car from Europcar was exactly as described.
Chris provided us with a great deal of background information about packing, especially for the small planes we were taking, about normal tipping expectations, and about what we could expect at our various destinations.
We were totally pleased with the trip Chris set up for us.

Best Trip Ever
5/5

We had never been to Africa before, yet alone on safari. After 15 incredible days , we can comfortably say this was our best adventure trip ever!! Sarah was our adventurist from Kerr-Downey- she listened to our requests, suggested some itineraries and after her input we felt very comfortable with an itinerary. And wow, did it ever exceed our expectations!!

It is a great place for Birding. I should’ve stayed at a better reserve.

About: Kenya
A wonderful experience

The safari was amazing and our guide Martin was the best! He made sure that we saw the Big 5 and much more. Plus he was knowledgeable and patiently answered all our questions about the animals and even gave us some insight into the local culture of the native inhabitants. Kenya is a trip of a lifetime and the Masai Mara is a must see!

Wild Planet Safari was an excellent experience!!
Overall rating
5/5

We had a beautiful experience with Wild Planet Safaris. Booking the tour was easy-Ryan was very open and easy to communicate with. For our guides we had Anton and Lungi. Anton was very knowledgeable about the animals and knew where to go in the park. Lungi was an excellent cook and animal spotter-he spotted a leopard across the way (I would have never caught it on my own) which made my day-probably the most beautiful animal I have ever seen in the wild! My dad made it a game to try and spot an animal before Lungi did-needless to say, Lungi always won haha. We are also very very lucky to have seen the wild African dogs! We got to see them interact with a huge family of baboons, it was absolutely wild, a once in a life time opportunity! Both of the guides made our trip very enjoyable-would definitely recommend!

About: Botswana
too basic for my taste.
Overall rating
3/5

My guide and the staff at the camp were lovely and very accommodating. The highlight of the trip was visiting the local village where many of the staff live. It was primitive (no running water or electricity to the individual huts) but the women of the community was very cordial, everything was orderly and the children were quite happy. The Delta had the most amazing array of beautiful birds i’ve ever seen. It was fun to see elephants and rhinos peacefully roaming so close to the camp.
However, the accommodations were basically fixed, elevated tents. The cold running spicket and toilet were outside of the sleeping area. It had a gravity feed shower that was impossible to work, so I bathed under a faucet. There was no electricity in the tent! A small solar lamp and lantern were the only sources of lightly night.
