An unforgettable journey tailored by a 5-Star company
My wife and I went on our first ever African safari with Matoke Tours in Uganda in December 2019. Months later, we think about the trip daily! From our wonderful and experienced guide Big Sam, to the awesome accommodations and friendly staff at each lodge, it was the trip of a lifetime. We began our vacation with a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. We traveled from there to Murchison Falls National Park, then to Kibale National Park, then to Queen Elizabeth National Park, to Ishasha, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and finished at Lake Mburo. When we set out on our trip, we didn't expect to see each and every animal as advertised. However, we did! It was better than we imagined. We saw a 3-month-old rhino, a pride of lions, the "rare" leopard. Our guide helped us spot the elusive leopard on four occasions, how lucky! We observed a bachelor group of elephants making mischief, walked behind a chimp, had a hippo nearly visit our cottage porch, and spent the most magical hour with a gorilla family. We photographed the most beautiful, perfect male lion standing out on a tree branch in Ishasha. We spotted a mother and young leopard on the prowl during the night game drive at Lake Mburo, and more. We certainly felt well cared for, and in good hands. Every detail was carefully thought out and planned for us ahead of time, by our wonderful trip coordinator Pascqa Lorna, so that we never worried about anything. A day for GORILLA TREKKING- In Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
We visited the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest during the tour package with Ngoni Safaris, staying at Mahogany Springs, five minutes from the park entrance. Sedrick at Ngoni Safaris organised our trip, which was to make special and celebrate my birthday and truly, what an amazing experience it was! The trip they made ran like clockwork and Sedrick was always quick to answer any queries, regarding the trip. Also, the staff at lodge, were the best. They looked after us so well and were always friendly and helpful. On the last night of tour, they sang a very special and African, happy birthday to me. The Gorilla Trekking was well organised with the help of wonderful park rangers. Of course, that was last but not least, the gorillas were breath taking. Our family group had no less than 5 babies. It doesn't get any better than that for me.
My advice to every other traveller planning to UGANDA, If you want to see Mountain gorillas, just make a contact to Sedrick at Ngoni Safais, go to The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, you will not be disappointed!

The Tour Guide was knowledgeable, accommodating, and timely.
My tour was Cape Town only. The service was impeccable, the restaurants selected were "top of the line" and each wine tour that we went on were very memorable experiences. I enjoyed myself so much, I have plans to return to Cape Town with Go Touch Down Travel & Tours. It my understanding that there are over 500 winery in that region, I need to go back to do some more tasting. The best thing about the whole trip was the maximum number on the tour was 6 people. I highly recommend this trip.

Awesome and satisfying experience
I went on safari in July 2020 to Masai Mara and stayed at Jambo Mara Safari Camp. There was good communication before the trip and once I arrived in Kenya. My friend in Kenya recommended Safari Update Travels as one they recommended for their visiting friends and family-- a good experience without a lot of frills, and for a reasonable price. Shem, our driver, was very accommodating. There were 6 of us in the van and we all had beautiful views of the wildlife and scenery. The room was super clean and comfortable, and I had a good breakfast each morning. We never felt uncomfortable and had no concerns. The others in the van were younger than me and from several other countries and we had a good time sharing the adventure. I would recommend this trip highly for anyone who wants to enjoy the scenery without a lot of extra frills.

Our experience with Safari Update Travels was just perfect! We spent amazing 9 days on safari in Tsavo East, Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara and Nairobi. We had excellent food, Moreover we had the most competent driver who safely took us for hours and hours to the best locations and informed us with his huge knowledge about animals and nature. Whatever we wanted to see or do, our guides made it possible. The accommodations were lovely chosen as they were in local ownership , cosy, clean and located very near the parks. The whole organizing of the tour was very professional and created on our wishes. When we told our organizer that we planned to do some trips after the safari, We thank the whole Team very much for this wonderful journey that we will never forget.
