We were treated like angels. Service was timely and spectacular.
5/5

Our safari was to the Murchison falls national park. Being the first time I was taking a safari, I was skeptical on what it all entailed and naturally asked many questions to which the tour operators' staff responded politely. The operators team was quite helpful in helping us prepare for the safari and were kind to us all through the trip. We benefited from the patience and jolliness our tour guide and up to now we still laugh at some of his jokes. I would surely recommend Speke Uganda holidays to anyone planning a safari in the great lakes region.

About: Kenya
Kenya delivers a wonderful experience beyond expectations.

A most amazing experience from start to finish. We enjoyed wonderful views of Kilimanjaro from our Elerai Camp lodgings in Amboseli filled with an abundance of stunning wildlife. Travelling along the expanse of the East African Rift Valley on route to Sopa Lodge in Lake Nakuru, where a beautiful sunrise led to a day of wildlife viewing that didn’t disappoint. Finishing our journey in the great Masai Mara staying with the wonderful welcoming team at Amani Mara. We enjoyed the sounds and sights of an abundance of Hippos in the Ntiak Ntiak river below. Our amazing guide Joseph, is very knowledgeable and experienced and pointed out many different animals and birds. Part of a friendly and cooperative network of guides, he ensured we had some amazing animal encounters and was extremely accommodating of our enthusiasm for photography, stopping and pausing whenever we requested. Lions, Cheetahs, Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Rhinos, Hippos, Flamingos, the list goes on. Thanks to Joseph, The Spirit of Kenya and their accommodation partners, we enjoyed the most wonderful, memorable experience. We can’t wait to visit again!

This is an unique place.

Nogorongro Crater is one of the four safari destinations, Masa Mara, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Nogorongoro Crater, we visited this August (we also took a side trip to Victoria Fall). It has an unique landscape that is hard to describe. Our guide jokingly said it looked like Eden.
We stayed at Nogorongro Crater Lodge for 2 nights. Our cabin sits on the rim of the Crater. The swiping view of the crater from the room was breathtaking. The facility, the service and the food were very good.
The park even being a crater is not really isolated from outside area. The variety of wild life in other parks can all find here. It is just more densely packed in this small area. The game drive experience was similar to that of Serengeti or Masa Mara. The difference is that the floor is completely flat. There was no tall grass either when we visited. You could see the other end of the park miles away. Therefore it was easier to spot wild life activities far away. I saw ostrich mating dance at a far distance. With all the cars crisscross the crater floor, the animals quite get used to the tourists. Lions sat at the road side letting tourists taking closeup pictures. In short conclusion, if you want to see big migration, this is not the place, If you want to view African wild life in an unique landscape, this is the place.

A tour operator exactly how we expect
5/5

In fact I have been not only once with Tribes which means I am a return client - self explanatory. I went on private tours with them, this is what I like. I tell them what I want to see, how I want to travel, etc., then we begin a dialogue including maybe other attractions, changing the order of visiting some attractions, etc. In other words we finetune my expectations. Then I will find exactly what we agreed upon. So simple.

Fantastic experience and excellent organization
5/5

Communication was efficient but there were a few small bloomers on the way (mixing up Kruger with Madikwe).
Service was excellent, we were picked up at the airport on time, traveled on a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus with a friendly driver who gave us a guided tour. We were excited when we entered the Park as our driver pointed out the impala, giraffes and zebras. The accommodation was wonderful and we received a warm welcome from the owners of Bush Lodge and the rangers. The garden there is beautiful and the water-hole and hide at the bottom of the garden were the icing on the cake. Elephants, lions, impala, zebra, giraffes, waterhogs, rhinos came daily to enjoy the water, as though for our benefit. The ranger-guided tours were exciting and it was great to see cooperation among the rangers in tracking and locating the big 5. Seeing the big 5 at close quarters was nerve-tingling but amazing as the animals either didn't move (lionesses) or just walked by the jeep without paying us any attention (elephant and lions). A bonus was the dramatic starlit nights. Seeing southern hemisphere stars and constellations clearly for the first time, with the expert guidance of our ranger, was particularly exciting for me from the Northern hemisphere. On our last night, we were entertained with traditional local singing and dancing by the Lodge staff. All in all, a fabulous 3 days, highly recommended.

Best safari in the world!

We chose Tanzania as our honeymoon destination. The trip was a dream come true! Mama Savana (our tour operator) was perfect and we were able to see the most amazing animals and we had the most amazing experiences in the safari at the National Parks. We did Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. I cannot put in words how the trip was fantastic!

Incredibly diverse safari experience
Overall rating

The Kruger is one of my favourite places in the world. The sheer size of it and all its diversity makes it a treasure and should definitely be on one's bucket list. There is something quite fun about driving yourself around looking for animals and birds - you never know what you'll see and that's one of the positives (or negatives if you only have limited time). The camps are charming but basic - this is not the five star safari experience, and you'll meet more locals in the Park than you would at the private game lodges that neighbour it.
My favourite area of the park stretches from Olifants camp to Shingwedzi as it tends to be quiter than around Skukuza area.

Fast and fabulous
5/5

Last minute is an understatement of our trip. Monday night we decided to travel to Tanzania, Wednesday night we arrived at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Makasa managed to organize a fantastic trip within this short timeframe. Excellent service, very quick communication and a perfect itinerary. Because of our fast decision, the whole trip was a big surprise to us, but it met all our expectations. Accommodations were superb! One day we woke up close to Tarangire National Park with a fantastic view of zebras, warthogs and wildebeests roaming the landscape between our terrace and the hills at the horizon. The next day we slept in the middle of Serengeti, surrounded by hyenas and lions, roaring in the night. In Ngorongoro Conservation Area we spotted 2 rhinos, which completed our big 5 checklist. We have seen so many animals! Before and after the safari we took some time to relax and to visit some local villages. Despite their poverty, Tanzanian people are very friendly and we loved their hospitality. We hope to be back soon!

I booked a two day solo tour to Murchinson Falls National Park through Immersion . My guide Andrew was so friendly and knowledgeable. He picked me up at my Airbnb in Kampala and was an excellent driver on some very busy and rustic roads. We went for a short hike to see the falls and followed it up with a river cruise where you see lots of birds, hippos, elephants, and Nile crocodiles. After we went on a game drive and I was able to see many more elephants and giraffes. Highly recommend.

Review about Tarangire National Park by sixthofdecember
Overall rating
5/5

Tarangire is excellent for elephants. Not that that comes as a surprise for anyone who's ever opened a travel / safari guide book, but I can now confirm it personally. For people who don't like elephants as much as I do, I can also say that the park landscape is gorgeous.
