Phenomenal beauty, amazing people, faultless
Staff enthusiasm was unprecedented, all gave 100percent to ensure we had the best experiences possible. No requests were too much. Food was exceptionally overwhelming and wild life experiences were next level. The trackers passion in delivering the best experiences possible to achieve what we were personally looking for was unparalleled.
I thought this was a trip of a lifetime and a once off, but no, we will be back for more.

Incredible primate experience!
We visited Kibale Forest in May 2015 and the main reason for our visit was to see chimpanzees, we were certainly not disappointed! The experience was outstanding and the quality of the guiding was second to none. As someone who has visited all of Uganda's National Parks, I would say that seeing the chimpanzees in Kibale was up there with the best experiences in the country and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
We did the trek on a clear sunny day, which apparently helped with the viewing of Chimpanzees. We were lucky to find 3 of them within 5 minutes (having driven for 10 minutes away from the starting point, due to the chimps being some distance away). We then tracked them for about 30 minutes and found the rest of the group, around 25 individuals, whom we were able to get close to and follow for a good period of time. The walk is through fairly thick forest and quite hilly in places. We were with a mixed group, but the guide set a pace appropriate for all.

Review about Ngorongoro Crater by Terry Divyak
Ngorongoro Crater was one of my favorite places to be in Tanzania. We stayed on the rim in the Serena Lodge and the stars at night were brilliant and I was lucky enough to have a full moon night while there too. The amount of wildlife in the crater was almost mind boggling with scenes looking like the garden of eden with many species of animals all gathered together.

Beyond Expectations
From our first communication with Rose, we knew we'd found the right person to help us plan our long-anticipated safari trip to celebrate our retirement. After doing our preliminary research, we contacted a number of agencies - describing the places we were thinking of going, the type of experiences we hoped to have, and the kind of accommodation we would prefer. Most agencies replied with a set itinerary that they often use, but not Rose -- her suggested itinerary was totally customized, the only one that really reflected our preferences. It was clear that Rose listens to her clients, and has their needs at the forefront. As we finalized our plans, Rose responded quickly and fully to all our questions and requests. We couldn't have asked for a more helpful and knowledgeable agent -- Rose definitely knows Africa!
Our safari trip included gorilla trekking in Rwanda, then luxury safari camping in the Serengeti, at Ngorongoro, and in Tarangire, ending off with a beach stay on Zanzibar. The arrangements that Rose had made were perfect -- everything went very smoothly. We were met at each destination by a guide, and each of them was knowledgeable and personable. The accommodations were top-notch, and the service was great -- it seemed that everyone was intent on making our trip memorable. And if that wasn't enough ... the wildlife was incredible! We had close encounters with more animals than we could have ever imagined -- from the moving experience of sitting beside the gorillas to the awesome spectacle of being in the middle of the migration, --- with cheetahs, lions, leopard, rhinos, elephants and giraffes, and many more!
We had been planning and looking forward to this trip for many years, and we had built up great expectations. Happily, it exceeded them -- thanks in large part to Rose and The Luxury Safari Company.

Full of life
It was an amazing trip to Kenya. The people, the warmth, the nature and the life. It is indeed where life thrives. The wide savannahs, the lions roar, the game drives, the beach with clear water and the constant feeling of being alive. Kenya has it all.
Elephants everywhere and a true magical kingdom
My first visit to Africa was filled with anticipation and excitement and all I knew to expect was what I had read online and in books. But nothing can prepare you for what you really experience and how each day is filled with wonder and awe at seeing animals roam as nature intended. I know most people have a long checklist of animals they want to see and seeing the Big Five are how some people measure a successful trip to Africa. Looking back on my trip now to Tarangire, I have to measure my trip by the number of magical moments. As the dust kicks up as the guide speeds down the road, you start to see the ancient Baobab trees come into view. The trees are so big and they watch over the landscape like giants in the hot sun. With the ability to store a large amount of water, many of these trees will have hollowed out trunks, the results of direct contact with elephants and their search for water. My excitement for going to Africa was to see Elephants in the wild and I was not disappointed, especially in Tarangire. After awhile you see so many that they become almost common place, even showing up at hotels to roam the grounds. Our Guide, Gabriel from Maasai Magic Safaris was so knowledgable about animal behavior and obviously loves what he does. He was very patient for this photographer to get the shots I needed and made sure that my trip met all my expectations.

The best of the best!
Anyone can bring you to a magical place with beautiful animals. Not everyone can deliver the high quality service that travels along with you on your adventure! Open Africa Safaris have really mastered their craft. They are knowledgeable, well organized, and client focused.
Above all else, I have to say they are some of the warmest, funniest people I've had the pleasure of knowing and traveling with. Their enthusiastic energy is contagious and makes for a truly wonderful experience. I made some of my favourite lifelong memories on that trip!
Thank you Open Africa Safaris!
