Perfect from beginning to end!
5/5

My trip to Africa spanned nearly 30 days beginning in Cape Town, then to Johannesburg, Nairobi, Victoria Falls, and ending in Tanzania. I was so fortunate that the last 10 days were with our exceptional guide, Emmanuel.

Emanuel was more than an experienced guide, he is a wise naturalist. Not only did he know the names and habits of every single animal and bird we saw, he knew the botanical names for every piece of flora and fauna. And the man has bionic eyes! We came to know we were always in for a real treat when he would slowly pull our land cruiser to a stop and peer quietly out the window. And then he would point and say "look right there… it's a female lion… it's a black rhino… it's a herd of elephants…" Then he would drive us closer, often getting within five feet the amazing animals we had traveled so far to see. Emanuel was more than a guide, he became a friend.

Our accommodations and food exceeded our expectations every step of the way. On our next to last night in Tanzania, I discovered that a couple in our group was celebrating their 37th wedding anniversary. I passed the word to Emmanuel, who apparently radioed back to the chef at our camp. That night the chef had prepared a beautiful cake, inscribed with their names, complete with candles, which the entire staff presented with a fabulous dance throughout the tents singing a cheerful African song. I am sure that is a night they will never forget. I know I never will.

I am longing to return to Tanzania and my first contact will be Emmanuel. Thank you for memories that will last a lifetime!

About: Tanzania
Excellent 8 day safari trip in Tanzania where we saw a multitude of wildlife up close.
Overall rating
5/5

We spent 8 days on a safari in Tanzania with Bush 2 City. It was an excellent trip where we traveled to 5 national parks and saw just about mammal we had hoped to see including lions, leopard, hundreds of elephants and hippos, thousands of zebras and wildebeasts, and ostriches, antelope, gazelle, cheetahs and more. The only animal we didn't see was the rhino.
We went in Sept so the weather was great and the crowds were down quite a bit. The places we stayed varied quite a bit as each group gets to choose what level of lodging you want with the associated price. Food was okay, not great, but certainly adequate for such a trip.
We also spent a day in Dar es Salaam and did a tour with Kizito Tours. This was fabulous and i highly recommend it as you get a very interesting picture of DeS.

About: Namibia
a trip through the desert country

5/5

i booked our trip with a company, through the safaribookings website, there is a wide range of tours available on the website, so it was easy to find a tour which suited us perfectly. Unfortunately a lot of the accomodation had already been taken because we booked fairly late, but the travelagent managed to get us adequate and similar accomodations. We found the overall standard to be very good, all accomodation was in excellent condition, well cared for.The dining was also very good in general, although we found a few places where the menu we were given was not really up to standard. The tour was very well organized, and the guide very knowledgeable. The roads are well mantained and easy to drive on. We managed to see a lot of wildlife- very often just alongside the road, and the scenery was impressive: wide open spaces, few people or traffic. The semi desert and desert views were awesome especially.

About: Swaziland
Fantastic experience at MKHAYA gamereserve!
Overall rating
5/5

Easy way to get from RSA to Swaziland, can be crowded at the boarder, what results in long queues.
Infrastructure is very good, especially the main roads, enough stores and petrol stations. The people are very kind!
We stayed in stonecamp at MKHAYA gamereserve. Sleeping in the bush without ectricity and windows is a great experience and I would do it again. All of the meals were fabulous.
We saw Rhinos, Impalas and others, crocodiles, hippos, girafe, wonderful birds, zebras, warthogs, monkeys, bushbabies...
There are no lions or elephants, though.
In Swaziland are several National Parks, we'llcertainly visit them an another time.

This Customized Safari Stands Out
5/5

My wife and I recently traveled to Tanzania for a private safari with crosstoafricasafaris.com. Our driver/guide, Anthony, is the owner of the company. As a seasoned traveler on all sorts of tours I can say inequivalently that this trip was a stand out. On our safari we saw a wide range of animals in their natural environments, including Africa’s “Big 5." Anthony displayed uncanny ability to ferret out animals hidden to my eyes as he maneuvered our land cruiser so we could take photographs in the best possible light. Wow! Our safari was individually tuned to our budget and our interests. In the northern Serengeti we saw three massive river crossings of wildebeests and zebras. We watched and videoed big crocs taking a couple of them for dinner. Bigger Wow!! By our choice, our accommodations ranged from high end lodges to more primitive tented camps where animals could be heard throughout the night. At those sites, a Maasai escort helped us move safely around the camp after dark. All in all, this was an experience of a lifetime. I am highly encouraging my friends and relatives to contact Anthony to plan their safari. If you have a chance to experience East Africa as we did – don’t wait to G0.

Fantastic
5/5

Baba Safari is a great tour operation since the minute I contacted them. They were very helpful and responsive before I arrived and extremely professional, helpful, and caring once I arrived. Sedrick and Mussa took very good care of me and I highly recommend them as tour operators but more importantly friends...

Everything went exceptionally smoothly and was professionally handled. Geoffrey was a great contact!
5/5

We had a great experience with Kenan Travel & Tours. Our group (four of us total) decided to book a 4-day safari fairly last minute (less than a month before we were set to arrive). Despite the short notice, we ended up with a fabulous trip. Shortly after submitting an information request, we received a response from Geoffrey, who was able to modify the usual 3-day itinerary to allow us extra time in the Conservancy that our schedule would allow. Communication was always very straightforward and clear. We received an itinerary that was detailed and helpful, and our air travel and accommodations went very smoothly. Absolutely no complaints--would highly recommend, and if we ever come back to Kenya for another trip I intend to use them again. Would also recommend in particular staying in the Naboisho Conservancy: much more private and relaxing than the national park; very eventful game drives (without crowds); and great service!
