A bespoke Safari experience..
This was to be my first East Africa experience and i selected this company based on the recommendations of a friend. I was able to work with David to craft a wonderful and unique safari/ cultural experience in Tanzania. I had to adjust my itinerary several times due to unique factors, but all along David was able to accommodate.
This was not a low budget trip and my accommodations were all top notch. The guide and driver provided, Lazaro and Wilson, were wonderful ambassadors for their country and Masai tribe. I left the country regarding them as friends, not merely service providers.
If you are looking for an upscale safari experience, at a reasonable cost, I can recommend this company

Amazing Experience
A good safari starts with perfect planning which is one of the strength of Seven by far. Our itinerary was planned perfect to reduce the travel time and more game drives. We were greeted at the Nairobi airport by Sylvester and briefed. From there, we were in good hands of Pascal (Kenya). Cosmus (Tanzania) and Steve (Again in Kenya). These guides are professions in spotting the animals. We spotted all the animals multiple times thanks to them.
I highly recommend Seven by far for the African safari. We enjoyed the safari due to the efforts of Seven by Far and If we do it again, it would be with Seven by far.

2 outstanding bases, one in the Masai Mara reserve, the second at Eagle View, Naboisho Conservancy
Starting with service, we were greeted so warmly in both of our bases and we found all of the staff to be very proactive in ensuring that we got the best from our visit. Our expectations were exceeded, by far, without doubt. My wife's birthday was marked by just about the whole of the Eagle View staff, with singing and dancing, vocal rhythms and harmonies with a stirring shuffling march and Adumu dancing. Electrifying stuff.
The safaris were of varied length and the guides had excellent knowledge. We saw some breath-taking sights, as you might expect, but what really made the visit special was the whispered and fascinating background information from our guides as we watched the animals in their habitats.
Food at Eagle View was particularly excellent. Wherever we are, we eat out regularly and we eat well, so our idea of "excellent" represents a very high standard and the superb, imaginative and delightfully presented meals were an unexpected treat.
We all agreed - this was an unconditionally successful and memorable visit to Kenya.
Great safari experience in Kenya and Tanzania
Ten of us from around the world got together in Nairobi for 12 days of mid-range safari experience in Kenya and Tanzania. The whole trip was well organized and we had a great time. Erick was excellent with communication and updates. Erick also made alternate arrangements when we had one of us fall sick. I was skeptical about Ewamanns initially given that there were no tripadvisor reviews but Erick made sure that we were all happy in the end.
In hindsight, I think it would have been good to know about long travel in vans (Ambesoli to Arusha etc.) beforehand which we could have avoided given that we had small children and senior citizens with us. Also, it would have been helpful to set the right expectations about Kenya/ Tanzania (where everything happens at slow pace) & 'pole pole' attitude.
Overall, I will definitely recommend Ewamanns safari to anyone who wants to visit Kenya and Tanzania and I myself won't shy away from calling Erick again when I am ready to climb Kilimanjaro.

Brilliant operator in every way
Hello All, I feel compelled to write a review about world tours and safaris and the owner Richard. Richard was fantastic in the build up to our safari and was quick to respond to emails and very clear on what was included etc. When we arrived we got everything promised and Richard organised prompt and safe transfers, great pre safari budget accommodation where we were really well looked after and made to feel at home. The safari was brilliant and our every need was catered for. Our guide knew everything and inspired a lot of confidence, the vehicle was great and our cook was fantastic. We felt really safe and the whole thing felt like fantastic value for money.
World tours and safaris really impressed me when things went wrong. On the morning of our third day, I received news from the UK that my father was suddenly critically ill in hospital and I needed to head back immediately. We were in a very remote area but Richard and his team managed to produce a car for us straight away and the brilliant guide and cook were loading our bags and packing us food for the journey. Richard made sure the driver got us to the airport as fast as possible and the driver even stayed with us until he was sure that we were booked onto a new flight. Richard made everything happen so easily and made a terrible situation more bearable. In conclusion, if you want a great safari and, more importantly, the piece of mind that you are using a company who genuinely care about you... Choose these guys.

Clare was a very attentive to my requests and responded to my emails almost immediately.
we were in Nanyuki area for mission work and because of its proximity, Kiboko (Clare) recommended we start out our safari at Sweetwaters in ol Pajeta (2 nights). accommodations and service at Sweetwaters met all our expectations. it was a welcome luxury after doing home stays in the area. our driver patrick was very pleasant and knowledgeable. our first sunrise was incredible, to say the least. we then flew to the mara and stayed at kichwa tembo(6 nights). this place was incredible-- the staff was very welcoming and while there we were well taken cared of by our butler (Francis), our stewart (Emmanuel) and game driver (Jackson). it was as if we were the only family in the whole resort. we saw the great migration (hundreds of thousands of wildebeests--amazing!!!), 4 kills, and checked off all the Big 5! upon checkout, we were in tears when they followed us to our car, singing to us ---saying goodbye& farewell. we were so very sad to leave.

Excellent Safari
I have been on a safari in Africa before in 2004 and always wanted to go again. Me and my wife found this on the site and I can say that this safari was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend it. Over 4 days we explored Tanzania around Mt. Killamanjaro. Good driver, lots to see and would go again!

STOP thinking about it -- and just GO!
Where do I even begin? As a group of 6 travelers from the United States, we spent 16 incredible days traveling around Kenya and Tanzania, under the exceptional guidance of Kenya Walking Survivor Safaris. The trip was easy to organize, and through communicating with OT (the owner), we were able to negotiate an itinerary that was ideal for our interests and our budget. Our trip included airport transfers, comfortable accommodations, meals, an English speaking guide, all transportation (including flights to Zanzibar), and and all safari associated fees (i.e. park entrance fees). The accommodations featured a wide variety of choices from an unfenced tented camp in the middle of the Serengeti (Our favorite!), to low budget hotels, to beautiful top-notch lodges. We enjoyed the variety and the uniqueness each place had to offer.
We began our trip in Kenya, where Anthony (request him--he is fantastic!) lead us through Samburu, Nakuru, Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli. Within those parks and areas we were able to see the Big 5 (along with so many other animals), take in the breathtaking surroundings of the African landscape, and enjoy the hospitality of the warm Kenyan people, which is unlike anything we have experienced before. Our favorite park was Samburu, where within the first 30 minutes of our very first game drive, Anthony took us to get within a few feet of a leopard! In Lake Nakuru, we saw both the white and black rhino, which was a real treat. Despite the very bumpy road leading to Maasai Mara, we were able to see lions up close and take an amazing hot air balloon ride with breakfast served right in the middle of the savannah. The balloon is expensive, but not to be missed. While visiting Lake Naivasha, we were taken on a walking safari of Crescent Island and on a boat safari to see the hippos and fish eagles. While visiting Kenya, Anthony was an expert guide, often spotting things we would have never seen, answering all of our questions, and adding to the spirit of our trip with his humor and great personality. It was a true joy to spend two weeks with him.
Crossing the border into Tanzania was an easy and painless transition thanks to Anthony, and our Tanzanian guide, Abbas. We began in Lake Manyara, traveled to the Serengeti, and finished our Tanzanian safari in the Ngorongoro Crater. Each place allowed us to continue to get up close to animals and see them in a variety of settings. We loved Ngoronogoro for the views and awesome chances to see lions. Abbas was a great guide, with a special eye for spotting leopards and we were sad to leave him after only a few days. He transported us to the Arusha airport, where we flew to Zanzibar.
Zanzibar was a great way to unwind and "dust-off" after our safari. We enjoyed the incredible beaches, snorkeling, Stone Town, and a spice farm (fascinating!). Make sure you this to your itinerary!
Do Not Miss: Samburu, hot air balloon safari, walking safari, unfenced camp in Serengeti, Zanzibar
Things To Skip: Maasai village (go to the Samburu village instead---less touristy and more authentic)
Tips: Bring trading items (clothing, pens, shoes, watches, etc.) as they will help you barter for goods along the way. Take Pop Rocks with you (trust us...). Do not overpack, as nearly every lodge had laundry available. Plus, you will want extra room in your suitcase for all your souvenirs! Airline pillows are helpful to sit on while traveling on some of the bumpier roads.
We learned a new phrase while in Africa, TIA (This is Africa). Remember to keep an open mind about schedules, timing, road conditions, hot water availability, Wifi, etc. Instead of letting these small inconveniences ruin your trip, embrace the phrase "Hakuna Matata" and have fun!
