Experiance with Kenya walking
5/5

We had a Kenyan safari with Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris during August -2015 and indeed I must say it was a memorable event in my life ... Kenya Walking Survivors made everything possible with in my limited budget and made the trip a pleasant one even though we had lot of changes from the original plan and even we had some last minute changes. They accommodated all our preferences, changes, interests and suggestions with a smile..especialy Mr.Otieno , the man behind the success of Kenya Walking Survivors.
We had a 10 days safari and I travelled with my family that includes my wife and my 2 kids aged 4 and 8. Since I travelled with my family, I had lot of apprehensions about the safety, accommodation, food etc during the trip, but Mr.Otieno took care of everything and provided a set of 4 or 5 star category resorts for 3 star price and ensured our trip was a memorable one. On landing Nairobi on 20th august, we transferred to our hotel at Nairobi and we spent the night there and the next morning we headed to Samburu. Though Samburu is little far compare to other parks and just opposite direction of Mara/Nakuru from Nairobi , it's really worth a visit. Few animals we can't see anywhere else but only in Samburu and also the chances of seeing a Leopard is much higher here compare to other parks. We stayed at Samburu game lodge which is just on the banks of the river and the ambience of the resort demand you visit again and again. unlike other regions Samburu is dry and deserted, but animal sightings and birds are abundant.
We spent 2 days at Samburu and the third day we headed towards Lake Nakuru which was a disappointment as almost all the flamingos migrated to a near by lake called Lake Bogoria. Even though we were hinted by Mr.Otieno about this, we still wanted to visit Lake Nakuru for it's other attractions. We stayed at Sarova Lion hill Lodge and the next day we travelled to Masai Mara.
We spent 3 days at Masai mara and we choose to stay at Mara Keekorak region and I find Mara triangle is lot better than Mara Keekorak. This is my second visit to Kenya and in my last visit during 2011, though we saw the migration, it was not really interesting as we stood in a place from where we didn't have a clear visibility of animals crossing the river. But this time we were so close to the river and the migration was indeed a new wonder. We saw almost 10,000 zebras and wildebeest cross the river and I could click them from a close proximity. After spending 3 days at Mara, we headed to Lake Naivasha and we stayed at Naivasha sopa lodge and I must say, you should stay at least once in Naivasha sopa as the lodge is one of the best lodges we stayed and the food too was excellent. During night, the hippos, zebras, Giraffes etc will visit the lodge. It's a great experience living with animals in the wild and walking with them.
On our 9th day, we went to Amboseli and I got a good opportunity to photograph the Elephants at the backdrop of Mt.kilimanjaro. Altogether it was a trip remembered all thru my life.. Thank you Mr.Otieno and Kenya walking for made this possible...

Well organized , efficient and readily Available.
4/5

Our travel coordinator , Eliya was very good. He was in constant touch with us before and during the trip. He was kind enough to accommodate our last min changes. We liked the places we stayed at. Out of all the places we enjoyed karama lodge in Arusha and kati kati camp in Serengeti. Our safari guide could speak English and Spanish which made communication convenient . He was flexible to work as per our schedule. Our schedule was booked actively as we wanted. From all the places we stayed " outpost lodge " was not average.
We were taken for local food which was very good. Through nature bound we got to experience variety.

A Fantastic trip to South Africa and Victoria Falls
5/5

After a Google search we came across Sun Safaris. After some checking and reading reviews we proceeded to explain what we were after. I had travelled to South Africa some years ago with work colleagues and wanted my wife to experience the fun and fascination of safaris.
Before we left, my wife was excited but nervous and we thought probably a once in a lifetime visit. Everything organised by Natasha worked like clockwork. From our arrival in Cape Town a friendly man waiting to take us to the hotel on the water front.. The hotel was excellent and a great location with great breakfasts and friendly and helpful staff.
After our first day on safari/game drives, my wife said, we are going to have to come back and probably bring the grand children, when they are old enough.
In both the private game parks in South Africa the accommodation and staff were first rate and we were made to feel very welcome and were very comfortable. In Zambia/Zimbabwe at Victoria Falls the luxury tent was excellent and some of the animals very close.
Every detail organised by Natasha at Sun Safaris happened smoothly with no dramas, that significantly enhanced our enjoyment, as we did not need to worry whether things would happen as and when required.
Africa, we will be back for sure and Sun Safaris will be helping us when we do. We have already recommended them to friends and family. We did it all communication by email with no dramas, just great memories.

This is not only a game park - it is a vibrant place with a wonderful team.

Magical Madagascar with Encompass Africa
5/5

This trip to Madagascar which we organised with Encompass Africa was quite a complicated one and very bespoke. Danica and the rest of the team were fantastic. They really listened to our ideas about where we wanted to go, accommodation we liked the look of and things we were not so keen on and then gave us honest and excellent advice about what to do, how much we could fit in, travel times, road conditions, accommodation etc. This was greatly appreciated and important as Madagascar is not a simple place to organise travel and their excellent and honest feedback on our ideas was incredibly valuable. After our discussions they came back to us with a number of possible itineraries from which we picked the one we wanted and they went ahead and organised everything from flights, accommodation, guide, driver, vehicle, park entry fees and guides etc. This all went very smoothly and we were kept up to date with changes during the months after we had booked and before we left. Danica even let us know when a room became available at a place we wanted to stay but which had been fully booked when we tried to book it and changed us into the one we had wanted.
As can happen with Madagascar there were issues beyond their and our control with the Air Madagascar flights as the airline staff went on strike and all our internal flights were cancelled. Danica and the team swung into action and reorganised our trip just a few days before we left so that we were able to do everything despite the flight cancellations which was amazing and we were so grateful!
The trip itself was incredible, wonderful in every way. The places we visited, wildlife we saw, our guide and driver, accommodation and the food were all even more amazing than we had imagined and everything went very well.
We visited Zombitse National Park, Isalo National Park, Anja Reserve, Ranomafana National Park, Morondava, Baobab Alley, Kirindy National Park, the Grand and Petit Tsingy, Andasibe National Park, Antananarivo, Fianarantsoa, Antsirabe, and a heap of other places on the way. This was simply an awesome trip and we absolutely loved it.
We were meant to finish in Masoala National Park but unfortunately bad and dangerous weather conditions led to the cancellation of our flights so Jono from Encompass Africa (with no notice and in record time!) organised for us to go back to South Africa (the same day!) and spend the last few days of our holiday in the Sabi Sands at the incredible Savanna Lodge. This was all done within a few hours of our letting him know what had happened and asking if he could organise us an alternative in South Africa, unbelievably amazing!
Absolutely top class service, knowledge, organisation and genuine care about you having an amazing experience. You could not ask for anyone better to organise a trip to anywhere in Africa and we will continue to use Encompass Africa time and time again (this is already our 5th trip with them!).

Our best vacation/adventure yet!
5/5

From our first encounter with Encompass Africa to after we returned home from our vacation, everything went perfectly and above and beyond our expectations. Our agent with Encompass Africa was Bronwen. We cannot give her enough positive feedback. She was extremely attentive , thorough and dedicated to making our vacation perfect for us. After much deliberation, and back and forth between Bronwen and ourselves we decided on a safari in Tanzania. Bronwen was always readily available and very flexible and accommodating to our ever changing itinerary. She was able to guide us and give us the information we needed to successfully choose our first Safari. After booking our trip and arriving in Tanzania, Bronwen and Encompass Africa remained very much part of our adventure. They were readily available if we needed anything and ensured our special occasions that we were celebrating were recognized. We had our best vacation to date thanks to Bronwen and everyone at Encompass Africa.

I happened upon Encompass Africa by chance on the internet and we are both so happy that I did. We cannot give this company enough praise. Their knowledge, expertise and professionalism went above and beyond our expectations. We have and will continue to recommend Encompass Africa to our friends and family! Thank you for such a wonderful vacation. Encompass Africa made, what could have been a very stressful and difficult vacation to book, extremely easy and effortless on our part. Thank you!
