my daughter felt during a daytrip. No Help, no refund for the money for a planned safari.
We paid all safari fees for three persons, five days about 5500 $ in cash and in advance. Because there were a few days before stating the safari we booked a day trip to Marangu-falls. On this walk our daughter felt and broke her arm very difficult. So difficult that the doctors told us
to go back to germany as soon as possible. So we had to leave immediatelly. Our daughter was not able to fly home alone. She still can not move her ellbow, wrist or fingers - six weeks later.
We tryed to inform the owner of kilimanjaro budget safaris immediatelly, but we couldn´t get in contact. So we wrote him and told him, that we were not able to go on safari. He did not respond. After tansanian friends contacted him, his father brought us $ 900 back. Now we contact him
and his father who owns another safari company. The fsather says, William is the boss, William say his father is the boss.
Do not book here or do not pay in advance. You will find no help if there happens an accident - with a guide from this company, while a trip
from this company.

Our safari was a wonderful, exciting 6 days, full of beautiful animals, people and geography.
Snow Africa Adventures set up a wonderful 6 day safari for my husband, daughter, and myself. Florent was very response throughout the process of setting up the safari to picking us up at the airport, and then meeting us the last day to check-in with us about our experience. The accommodation arrangements were really beautiful, especially the Ngorongoro Farm House Lodge and the Kubukubu Luxury Tented Lodge and the food was delicious. Lorry was our tour guide and was excellent - very knowledgeable, personable, and funny. We saw so many animals both in Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. It was an amazing experience! Thank you Snow Africa Adventures!

Impeccable service from Margaret, she is kind and attentive. Brilliant organisation of our trip.
Having looked online to compare Safari deals for Selous on SafariBookings.com, I came across Uhuri Travel & Tours. As this was very last minute, I wasn’t expecting we would get the dates we wanted, however received a prompt reply from Abdallah R. A. Who was very friendly. I was then put in touch with Margaret who thankfully corresponds through WhatsApp which makes things so much easier when trying to organise a trip!! She was so attentive and answered all of my questions thoroughly. The organisation of the trip was brilliant and on the dates we wanted. she got a driver to pick us up from Dar to Selous, the Jimbiza camp where we stayed was amazing, the plane rides from Selous to Zanzibar was a wonderful experience and so happy Margaret organised this upon our request !
We would have organised some tours in Zanzibar however as one of my family members was unwell, we didn’t get to do this, Margaret’s compassion was very heartfelt.
Thank you again, I recommend this company to all! So glad I found Uhuru, it’s affordable and the staff are wonderful!!!

Great tour, lots of impressive animals, unorganized schedule
We booked a 4-days tour through Masai Mara NP, Lake Naivasha with boat ride and Nakuro NP with 2 nights speeping in a tented camp and on night in a hotel.
lots of animals
great driver
unorganized scheduling
acceptable accomodations
respectful treatment of animals
It was a gorgeous journey and our driver, James, was one of the highlights beside the impressive animals! We saw nearly everything we dreamed of, elephants, lions, a cheetah, rhinos, different types of giraffes, a lot of different beautiful birds, hippos, monkeys, buffalos, antilopes... only the leopard we missed, but James gave his very best. We saw the most animals incredibly near, for example lions or giraffes with a distance of less than 5m or rhinos with less than 10m. But it never seemed to injure the animals freedom.
It was just a pitty, that we needed to discuss with different people so often about what be booked, what was included and how the plan for the tour was. For example we didn‘t have a walking/cycling tour, we didn‘t get 3l water per person per day but 1l instead, we didn‘t visit the Hells gate NP, we didn‘t see the promised baby elephant in an extra area, we didn‘t visit the giraffe center.
All in all, the tour was quite different than described. The tour was described very detailed with certain timeslots and in a specific order, but nothing matched to that schedule, which does actually not matter, but nobody told us so. So we expected for example to drive to the lake Naivasha, but arrived at the Masai Mara NP and wondered if we took the wrong tour bus by accident...
The booked accomodations were acceptable, espacially for the price we paid, ~400 US $ per person. The first one at the Masai Mara NP was a tented camp with a nice areal and quite delicious food. The second one at Nakuro NP was in the Hotel Citynax with very friendly personal. But in both accomodations it lasted ~20 mins until we get warm water in the shower. While the water in the hotel just got semi warm to still too cold ~20 celsius degrees. This hotel also didn‘t have the promised standard as descibed with „Gilden Palace Hotel or similar“.
Nevertheless it was a great experience and I would book another tour with your company again.

My first safari. They made it happen.
I am an avid traveler, I love to discover new places and see new things. It didn't take long for me to put Africa on my bucket list of places to visit with an African safari as a top priority bucket list activity. I've visited other websites and have even communicated with their employees, unfortunately, I didn't have good experiences with some of them. So upon planning my first safari, I came across Discover Africa & true to their name, they did help me discover a part of Africa. My correspondent was Karl, and I have to say that he was very efficient, I layed out the specifications for him and he quickly managed to create an itinerary for me. Things were smooth from the planning stage, to the tour itself, to the return. I had a wonderful time and I can confidently recommend Discover Africa for your first (or next) trip to Africa.
Africa is certainly a unique continent full of wonder. My first trip was a combination of two East African countries, Rwanda & Kenya. It was a great combination as there was a stark contrast between the two countries. Rwanda was a lush, green, mountainous region where farms galore. Kenya had a somewhat harsh, arid landscape. The gorillas and golden monkeys were Rwanda's flagship attraction so I didn't dare to miss the opportunity to see both. Some people opted for 2 gorilla treks as opposed to one gorilla & golden monkey trek, and I simply don't recommend that. There is beauty in both encounters & a contrast in behavior as well. The gorillas were generally more reserved and shy while the monkeys were playful and mischievous. The rules of both encounters differ as well & you had a bit more freedom with the golden monkeys. Rwandans are a very welcoming, friendly people & I lost count of how many times we got smiles, hellos and waves as we drove past them. On one occasion, a couple of cute children did a little cultural dance and song for us.
Kenya was beautiful in it's own way as well. I stayed at the Governer's Camp at the Maasai Mara & the experience was nothing short of unique. A 45 minute flight will take you away from society and into the wilderness where the camps are located. You will be greeted by gazelles, giraffes, baboons & zebras upon arrival & transferal to the camp. You will enjoy the escape from civilization, you will enjoy waking up to the grunts and roars of animals as opposed to the grunts and roars of vehicles, you will enjoy viewing the wildlife you may have seen in zoos, only this time in their natural habitat. Having breakfast while marveling at the gazelles & zebras on the horizon is an alluring experience and beats all the dinner nights I've had watching my favorite TV shows. If you get the chance, opt for some Kenyan coffee, it's a pleasure to the senses and the best I've ever tasted (and I'm not much of a coffee person).
One thing to keep in mind is that this is nature, experiences will vary from one person to the next, there are no guarantees in the wild. But I can guarantee that you will have a great overall experience. My favourite moment was witnessing the very end of a river crossing by a zeal of zebras as it rained over the Mara river. A zebra met it's end at the jaws of a crocodile. Our driver brought us closer to witness the spectacle of a bask of crocodiles engaging in a feeding frenzy like nothing I've ever seen. All of this while a rainbow arched over us. Truly awe inspiring.

Once in a lifetime experience
Snow Africa did an incredible job putting together an amazing safari without much lead time. They were responsive, flexible, and professional. A friend of mine recommended Snow Africa, and I'm so glad they did! My parents and I did a 5 day safari to Ngorongoro crater, Manyara, with 2 days in Serengeti + bonus lazy Saturday in Arusha.
We stayed in amazing tented lodges along the way. Each day was filled with incredible game drives. Our guide/driver Lorry was funny, knowledgeable and very flexible when we rolled out of bed a bit late. We kept looking at each other and saying it was a once in a lifetime experience. We saw hippos (my favorite), cheetahs, a leopard, many lions, and even saw a genet!
It was amazing!

16 Days Uganda Wildlife Super Safari for one person only
The preparation for the safari took Jackie and me nearly a year. During this time and also later on the manager answered on emails and
questions always unusual fast. In about fifty years I haven'' t found such a safe and loyal travel agency wether in Africa nor in Europe.
The safari was so well prepared that we haven' t had any problems within 16 days. For transportation I had a 4x4 wheel driven Toyota
landcruiser with a driver and at the same time a safari guide, who knew his job best. Sometimes without any signs he mastered the most
difficult tracks and roads. Crossing the NP'´ s in Uganda he mostly knew where the animals were. Very often his colleges were following our
car and had the luck to watch lions in a tree, a smaller leopard in a bush or a fish eagle loosing twice the fish in front of our car. Martin was
an excellent and safe driver, who took care of me, that it was not necessary for me to eat meat. Jackie, the manager, got in touch with her driver
every day and made her inquiries about our safari. The hotels and lodges we have chosen together were all moderate and in a clean
condition. At no time I felt unwell or unsafe. Uganda has a lot of friendly and helpful people. My expectations of this country, especially
landscapes and people, were better than expected. Once more my thanks to a very safe and loyal company.

A Nightmare in Botswana
We spent last year 12 days with MG and his team and our experience was really bad. We had to pay the entrance to chobe and the manager MG never paid to us. Our driver didn´t found our camp in Khwai and we had to sleep in a local cottage. The guide was estressed all time and our camp in Kalahari desert was diferente that the camp for which we have paid. A total disaster of company!!

Booked and paid for safari with private camping, received overcrowded public camping & no refund
We booked and paid for a Safari at Serengeti National Park with a guide & private camping (larger tents with a bed & private bathroom).
We ended up staying in an overcrowded public campground, with a toilet shared between 50+ people and no protection against wild animals at night, which were fighting in front of the tents. If that was what we booked, fair enough, but we paid for private accommodation, which we didn't receive.
The tour guide was great and very knowledgeable, however, the owner of the company, Calvin, is unfortunately very dishonest. He claimed the government was responsible for putting us on the wrong campground and that he could only refund us once the government had refunded him.
We doubt this is true as the tour guide was paying all accommodation in cash and had even picked up equipment for the public camp site. It is very clear the plan was to let us stay in the public camp site from the time we left Arusha.
Calvin has promised a partial refund but has to this date (10 months after the tour) not made any efforts to refund us .
Avoid this company unless you want to put up with unreliable and dishonest business practice.

Unique thoughtfulnes
Richard and Steve are an incredible duo. Not only they delivered on all the expectations around the Gorilla trekking, but also they went above and beyond by taking me out to local restaurants in their spare time.
This will make your Uganda experience significantly better
