An Amazing Experience!
5/5

In October 2024, I decided I wanted to travel to Kenya and experience a safari with my 3-year-old son. Initially, I was skeptical about safety, but after reading glowing reviews about the experience, I decided to go for it—and I’m so glad I did!

I inquired about a 6-day safari with JungleRoam for February 2025 and was promptly assisted by Chesi. She was incredibly helpful, answering all my questions and ensuring I felt secure about the trip. The price was very affordable—just $1,250 for both me and my son—which included accommodations for 6 days and 5 nights, three meals a day, bottled water, and pick-up/drop-off services. The booking process was simple, requiring only a small deposit upfront, with the remaining payment made in cash upon arrival in Kenya.

Chesi’s hospitality extended beyond the booking process—she even allowed me to store my extra luggage, which remained safe and untouched throughout my trip.

Our first driver, Andrew, was a fantastic guide. He took great care of us, providing detailed explanations about the wildlife and ensuring we had the best possible viewing experience—including spotting lions! Unfortunately, he had to leave due to a family emergency, and we were assigned a new driver, Lee. Initially, I was a bit worried about the transition, but my concerns quickly faded. Lee was just as wonderful—kind, professional, and dedicated to making our experience unforgettable.

Both drivers were incredibly respectful, trustworthy, and understanding, especially since I was traveling with a toddler. Their kindness made all the difference. When my son developed a fever, they immediately took me to a pharmacy to get medication, showing genuine concern for our well-being.

This was truly an incredible experience, and I can’t recommend JungleRoam Safaris enough! If you’re considering a safari, don’t hesitate to book with them—you won’t regret it!

A Journey Beyond Expectation.
5/5

After researching multiple touring services, we chose Hillary's team with Meander Africa. The reason was initially due to the level of attention to our communication and also the value vis a vis the other "higher end" safari companies. Their itineraries were almost identical, yet we felt the Meander team had a special vibe. We were not wrong. From the moment we landed in Nairobi until we departed Kilimanjaro, the quality, service and attention to detail were exemplary and I would consider my husband as traveling companion to be especially fastidious. Meander Africa's team were the kindest, most knowledgeable and attentive people imaginable. Every step of the way has handled, from Kenya to Rwanda with a guide whose knowledge of Rwandan history and law were amazing with superb accommodations. Maasai Mara and the gorgeous Kicheche camp with our host Charles Lemiso and his team of Guides, Charles and Julius, were just wonderful. Off to Tanzania and the Serengeti with another superb camp and the most exhilarating Wildebeest migration imaginable. Again, our guide was beyond compare. The final leg was the Ngorongoro Conservation with the most spectacular tour of the volcano with our really engaged guide and accommodations that were world class. I have been all over the world and can say with the utmost sincerity, these were among the most life changing 15 days I have spent on the planet. I would recommend Hillary and his team with Meander Africa to anyone who wants to be assured they are taken care of with the same concern one would have for their own family. My only hope is I get to do this again and if so, I am clear who my first email will be to. Thank you for my memories, we are immensely grateful.

Jungle Roam is one tour agency that you can trust and rely on. All queries and requests were promptly responded to by Chesi. Our safari trip went smoothly without a hitch. Our Guide, Francis was very knowledgeable and cheerful at all times. He is outstanding in tracking animals in the wild. Very satisfied.

Trip of a lifetime
5/5

We had an absolutely amazing 8 day safari with tropical wild expeditions, in an almost new land cruiser with a safe and experienced driver and budget accommodation that far exceeded our expectations.

I also have a few tips for anyone looking for a budget Kenya safari....

All of the companies mix and match clients to get their tours to fit in with their schedules with shared tours., so it's always possible you will change from one vehicle to another depending on your itinerary or have people come and go from your vehicle. Sometimes leading to delays and frustrations... I really can't see anyway of avoiding this besides having a private tour.

On the first day of the tour you drive all the way to the Masai mara and then have lunch and go on an afternoon game drive around 4/4:30. Only problem is the park closes at 6 and you still have to pay full game park fee for that day(same day only passes now instead of old 24 hours passes) so maybe consider what we did adding another day in the mara but not doing a game drive on the first day to reduce the cost and maximise value. In the afternoon of the first day we paid a nominal fee to a Masai working at our camp to take us on a nature walk, were we learnt about how they use all the plants/trees and saw lots of animals walking along the river in the park.

Lots of the roads in and between parks are dirt/gravel and during rain periods can be flooded I think the land cruiser is worth the extra price over the van.

Most of the camps the budget share safaris stay at are all near each other just outside the park. I can't recommend enough flair camp experience, every meal at the camp is a 4 course meal and was levels above anything else at the other camps and the Masai staff were absolutely amazing.

The drive day to Amboseli after doing hell's gate is pretty brutal and Im on the fence if it was worth it to me. Amboseli is great for seeing elephants and the view of Kili is amazing if your lucky to get it on a clear day but it can also be a bit of an anticlimax compared to the all action of watching hunts and spotting far more animals in the mara.

If you do make it to Amboseli I highly recommend the Manjaro camp if your looking for more of a natural low key experience. Small camp with basic amenities but has wildlife from the park walking through the camp, sounds from animals at night including hyena calls and heaps of bird life. Camp fire in the evening and walking paths around the camp.

Amazing experience !
Grazie Innocent
Grazie Kilipath!

Quick and excellent communication, reasonable price!
5/5

From the 1st communication with Rosemary I knew it was going to be a great trip to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. The price was very good compared to other tours. The staff including the chef and drivers were reliable and provided tasty meals and safe driving. We saw so much! It was an incredible safari! Thank you Mountain Warriors!

FLEXIBLE AND WELL ORGANISED
5/5

Arriving in Walvis Bay on our yacht, the crew of SV Moonbird were looking forward to exploring the Namibian desert.
We found Blue Crane were the only tour company willing to create a bespoke tour for the 5 of us at short notice. Our guide, Sydnie, collected us from the waterfront and thus began a brilliant and packed tour itinerary that took us to all the main sites we had been hoping for. Sydnie was extremely knowledgeable, and his kind and friendly manner made the trip very enjoyable, and his driving was excellent. We really enjoyed staying at the desert lodge, and the sunset drive. We even had an afternoon cooling off in the pool. All the facilities and partner organisations were top notch. Sydnie even arranged a birthday cake for one of our party!
