Mpumalanga and Soweto Tour
Kobus De Jonge from "Jewel of Africa Safaris" took us on a private and spectacular Panoramic Tour of Mpumalanga while telling us all about the history of South Africa which is so intensely connected to this region. Back in Johannesburg he took us on an extensive and amazing tour of Soweto including the Hector Pieterse Memorial and Museum and Vilakazi street were Nelson Mandela and Rev. Desmond Tutu lived. We ended with a fine a meal in Soweto. We were struck by the warmth and the friendliness of the inhabitants of this country. Kobus' planning, guiding and safe driving was just perfect, he gave us a memorable trip.

Mega Safari with Mega Adventures
I lived in Tanzania for a year as a volunteer and during that time I wanted explore Tanzania's beautiful nature as well. And therefore a good safari company is essential. Friends suggested me Mega Adventures and I never regretted to have done a nine-day safari, a climb of Mt Meru and a climb of the Kilimanjaro with their help.
I have done the together with my family (6 persons altogether) and we were able to highly customise our safari for our needs. Mega Adventures was always willing to fulfil our wishes but also gave as good advices to make the trip as special as possible. We travelled through the whole northern circuit. We started in the Tarangire NP, passed Lake Natron the next day to reach the Serengeti through the backdoor. After that we spend some time at the Ngorongoro crater as well at its surrounding craters (Empakai, Olmoti). On the last day we finished the trip at the Lake Manyara NP. During the whole safari we were only camping which was a great experience especially because we often chose private campsites over public ones which I can highly recommend as they are far more remote and you get the true wilderness feeling. Also our driver and guide Abu was very knowledgeable person and shared very interesting details about the wildlife in Tanzania with us. On top of that the car was in a very good condition and Abu really understands how to handle such a beast.
My climbs of the Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro were led by a very experienced guide who has reached the peak dozens and dozens of times. He always watched out for us to make our experience enjoyable. The gear I hired for the tour was also in a very good condition.
In conclusion I can highly recommend Mega Adventures as your Tour operator. Customisable safaris, experienced guides and fair prices made my trips very special and truly unforgettable.

North Mara- Excellent for wildlife viewing
I wanted to visit Masai Mara but did not have adequate time to sift internet to decide which part of Masai Mara to visit to get best wild life viewing experience. I relied on my colleague's reference of Wild Destinations to arrange my visit.
After several prompt emails- I was guided to select North Mara and on hotels, I got three suggestions- Serian, Saruni and Kicheche camps and in consultation I chose Saruni. Right from touchdown at North Mara airstrip, we started seeing hyena, worthogs, bisons, wildbeast, zebras, gazels, ziraffes. Our driver Dickson, a native masai took all interest in ensuring that we sighted the elusive lion- and that too from close quarters of 10 ft on 3 occasions. A good number of elephants, jackals, mangoose, jackals were sighted. We had breakfast on the banks of Mara river where hippos and crocodiles were sunbathing. We also visited Rhino camp where Rhinos were introduced about 3-4 years back.
Inhabitating along with wildlife were the Masais - original inhabitants of the place. It was great to see the Masais and wildlife co-existng peacefully. The vast expansive plains of Mara along with bright sunshine and cool weather - I cannot ask for more.
Our stay at Saruni was excellent. They were so courteous and prompt. Service standards, punctuality, warmth and attention to details, room upkeep - 10/10.
Thanks to Shaheen of Wild Destinations, Eddy and Dickson of Saruni- it was a very relaxing, rejuvinating holiday- at Mara North - probably as nature existed few centuries back.

Totally incredible
Adelle Bell was so helpful from day one of our contact. Me & my husband were travelling with our two sons aged 9 and 12 and I gave her an outline of the type of trip i was looking for and our requirements as well as budget. Boy did she deliver on her recommendations. We stayed at Kapama River lodge for 2 nights and Kapama Southern for 2 nights largely because neither could take us for the 4 nights that i wanted. Initially i wasn't keen on having to go to 2 different places but actually it worked out perfectly and was lovely to experience 2 very different camps. i can't say enough good things about the Kapama reserve - the drives were amazing and we saw everything, the smell of the bush, the animals, the weather, the place, people and overall experience, it was truly overwhelming and we didnt' want to leave. Thank you so much i will definately recommend you to others and we will defo be back.

unforgettable experience
My husband and I went on a 7 day safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Lake Eyasi, Serengeti, and Nrongoro Crater with Bright African Safaris. I started pricing safaris and comparing itineraries from home about 6 months before the trip. Msangi Charema from Bright African Safaris stood out from all the other companies with his rapid and detailed responses to my questions. The price was reasonable for the two of us going on safari on our own with our own guide and cook. We had an amazing trip! Modhi was our guide and Jamal our cook. Modhi was a wealth of information about all the animals we saw. And the birds! He knew everything about every bird and could name the type of bird even when seen from super far away. We saw over 50 lions in the Serengeti and Nrongoro in 2 days! Jamal was a great cook who accommodated both my vegetarian needs and my husband's carnivorous preferences. I have already recommended this company to friends. I would be happy to go on safari every day, I miss my time in Tanzania!

Solo American Travels on Safari to Kenya and Tanzania with Wildesbeestsafaris.com
I traveled from the United States to go on safari in Kenya and Tanzania, and traveled alone as I had booked a solo safari. I was picked up at my hotel in Nairobi (The Sarova Stanley), and was in the company of Eustis, a safari guide that is employed with Wildebeest Safaris. Immediately I felt comfortable as his command of English is VERY good. As we proceeded to the Masai Mara ( the Kenyan Side of the Serengeti), Eustis was extremely knowledgable of seemingly every aspect of this landscape, as well as the wildlife that was there.
The lodges and accomodations were good throughout the journey( some of the lodges were exceptionally nice). The Kijereshi Tented Camp, Dove Nest Lodge and Kibo Safari Camps, were exceptional.
Overall I had an exceptional journey in Kenya and Tanzania and was extremely appreciative to Eustis and David, my safari guides.
I would recommend Wildebeest Safaris to ANY American tourist looking to go on Safari, whether solo, or with family.
Awesome Safari!
Had an awesome four day safari. Took the cheaper option with camping and it rocked! I don't know why you'd bother with lodges and that when you can sleep right in the middle of the Serengetti! Absolutely unforgettable.
Great company. Would definitely use them again and recommend them. Everyone is very friendly. Even had a few cheeky beers with some of the guys after our tour ended!
Cheers guys and I'll see you again when I'm back in your beautiful country!
