About: Kenya
We loved everything from the the wildlife to the beaches and the food to the people!

We particularly loved the Amboseli and Masai Mara on safari and Diani beach is absolute paradise! We were also thankful to have spent some time in Nairobi. It's a very interesting city and we had lovely exchanges with locals that gave a bit more context to Kenya as a whole.

They won a contest

Why did I choose Cheetah Safaris? If you seek a list of tour operators on Uganda Wildlife Authority website you will see almost 140 companies. I accessed all sites. Out of those, I selected nine with more reasonable, feasible and complete information about Mt. Elgon. I would like to spend an one-week trekking there.
I sent e-mails for those nine companies and received replies from four of them. I selected the best and more attentive two answers. I requested an evaluation of prices and Cheetah Safaris gave the best price.
I promptly receive all sort of information before the trekking. And after that, I was requested to fill in a form where I could put my comments. I recommend their services. Everything worked out very well. We even added a trip to Murchison Falls after Elgon and Robert and Jacqueline, the owners of the company, were our very friendly guides.

About: Uganda
Unspoiled by mass tourism
Overall rating
5/5

Uganda is one of the countries where you can still experience the true meaning of exploring. There are not many tourists even in the height of peak season and for this reason it is still very unspoiled.
We firstly visited Lake Mburo NP- the only park with zebras. They are in the process of introducing giraffes into the park, which means you are walking among them during bush walks. Spectacular.
The next was Queen Elizabeth NP, which was kind of disappointing as there was scarcity of animals. We did se a leopard and a few lions but from afar- we could barely make them out. You can hire a ranger for lion spotting which grants you the possibility to see them up close (which costs around 150 USD per person), something we found quite expensive . Its possible we were there at the wrong time of the year.
However, the boat ride on Kazinga channel was a rollercoaster of wildlife and interesting facts, so definitely worth it.
The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the gorilla tracking that delivered an experience above expectations.
The people were warm and welcoming, the food was delicious and portions more than sufficient (we always asked for less food). Uganda will always have a special place in our hearts.
We would also like to thank the agency Out of Africa for providing us with and express itinerary for our trip, and especially to our guide Arafat, that took us on this adventure of a lifetime. Do not be afraid to visit, you will be surprised by how safe and easy traveling is in the pearl of Africa.

Just driving around the rim of the crater was amazing. Once down in the actual crater we saw a lot of animals ranging from rhinos and lions to monkeys and birds. The Ngorongoro national park is definitely a place wort to visit!

About: Tanzania
Amazing wildlife all around!
Overall rating
5/5

I absolutely loved my recent visit to Tanzania. I went on a 5 day safari with my friend and we had a jeep all to ourselves. As we were there in peak season the parks were very busy but we got to see everything that we came across clear enough to take great photos so it wasn't really a problem. Our camps were lovely and our driver did a good job to find as many animals as possible although we did not see Rhino. We saw lots of eagles and different birds too which was awesome. The roads are very bumpy! And at this time of year very dusty so you may wish to cover your face and hair. The weather was very dry and in the North Serengeti very hot otherwise I didn't think it was uncomfortable the rest of the time. We loved seeing lots of Giraffe walking about outside of the parks and all the Elephants close up, especially in Tarangire. I loved Tanzania and will definitely be returning.

9 day Uganda/Rwanda Adventure
5/5

Encounter Africa Safari and especially our guide Tolbert exceeded my expectations. From my very first enquiry e-mail Tolbert was prompt with his replies and very helpful in planning our 9 day itinerary to meet our needs. After contacting several companies for quotations and information, I found Tolbert and Encounters had the best customer service, the most professional and detailed (clearly written) itineraries and hands down the best pricing available.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Tolbert and had a very enjoyable first drive to our hotel in Kampala. We travelled throughout the 9 days in a Modified 4x4 Safari van which was spacious, comfortable and well maintained. The interior of the van was tidied each day before we set out on our drives and when the exterior of the van got too dirty from the dusty dirt roads, it was cleaned.

Tolbert accommodated our many requests for pit stops here and there throughout the trip. He had a good sense of humor and was a pleasure to have host us in Uganda. Through our itinerary we had many flawless adventures including chimp tracking, gorilla tracking, Murchison Falls land and boat Safari, Mt. Sabyinyo volcano hike, Rhino Sanctuary and exploring the towns. Our final days of the trip were spent in Rwanda, where Tolbert contacted one of his local friends/guide to assist us with information in Rwanda and the navigation. It was a pleasure to have him on board for our last day.

To finalize, I am extremely happy with the services provided by Encounter Africa Safari and Tolbert. I will most certainly be passing on their business information to my many friends and colleagues who travel on a regular basis.

Thanks again for this great and memorable trip to these two beautiful countries.

National parks in Uganda have much more life than 10 years ago in my previous visit. Not many visitors, so you can enjoy the nature without seeming to be in a zoo.

Accommodations were perfect and also the food.

The only point is the roads. Better than 10 years ago, however you cannot avoid the African Massage.

Review about Serengeti National Park by wildlifepictures.se

Best of the best. It´s a must. No other place on earth has more wildlife than Serengeti. Been there a lot of times and if there is one place I want to get back to before I die it´s Serengeti. But leave the place from May - November when the migration is too far north and weather can be really wet.

Can't say enough positive things

There is just too much good information to share in a review on a web site. Our Affable Tour friends were AWESOME!! They took excellent care of us, getting to and from our destinations safely. They marshalled a herd of 11 distinct individuals with total finese. They arranged for us to stay at fantastic camps and lodges that would make 5-star hotels here in the States jealous. And thanks to their scouting efforts, we saw all of the Big 5 and many, many more. In fact, if you want to see how great it was, check out this link to see some video I took on the trip: http://youtu.be/DR5Ly6s36Ak. I highly recommend Affable Tours & Safaris.

Marvelous safari in Serengeti
5/5

We had a fantastic 8-day safari with Kili Slope driving the whole day with our great guide Fadhili. Excellent sightings of lions, cheetah, leopard, huge hers of elephants, wildebeests and zebras, and we also learnt a lot despite we have had many safaris in Africa. We went for tented lodges in Manyara, Serengeti, Ndutu and Ngorongoro areas and all of them were very comfortable, just like our 4x4 vehicle. Fadhili was very helpful whatever requests we had, and he respected nature the rules of the national parks unlike other drivers. I will always remember his saying: the animals are always there, it is just our luck how much we see them, that is why it is called GAME drive :-). I would highly recommend Kili Slope and always remember in Africa: Hakuna Matata!
