Amazing safari experience
5/5

We did the Amboseli NP safari 3D2N. Total price for 2 adults + 1 child (3 yo) was 540 USD inclusive of transportation, accomodations, food, park tickets. The communication during booking process was amazing (300 USD downpayment via Pesapal). On the other hand, the pick up was a little bit messy (it was supposed to be around noon but ended being closer to 1pm). From the hotel we were taken to a tour operator office on Wabera St. where we paid the rest of the trip. After that we were taken by car to Shell gas station south of Nairobi where the safari van with our guide, Maxwell, and the rest of travellers were waiting for us. We started the journey to Nyati safari camp, arriving there right after sunset. We were greeted by the camp staff, assigned rooms and given buffet dinner. (I would like to say the camp is very good, staff is friendly, rooms are comfty and buffet breakfast and dinner are very good).
The day after, early morning (6am) we did the morning walk (10 USD pp, worth it), came back to the camp, had breakfast and started the full day safari around 8am, returning to the camp around 5pm.
The last morning we departed around 6am for a half day safari and we were dropped off back in Nairobi around 4pm.
I would like to thank everything and specially our guide MAXWELL who is just amazing, very knowledgeable and honest. Looking forward to coming back to Kenya and doing Masai Mara with him!

Flexible
4/5

I was able to arrange a safari tour on short notice (day before departure) with Tall Masai Safari. I appreciated Benson's flexibility in tailoring the itinerary to my needs and the guides/drivers were good and accommodations reasonable for the price paid. I just wish I would have been able to pay at least a part of the tour by card and also the itinerary was not completely followed as I was told day 3 would include a game tour of Nakuru park (time permitting) plus a Nakuru game drive on day 4 before going back to Nairobi. Though we arrived in Nakuru with a whole afternoon to spare on day 3, the guide told me only one Nakuru game drive was included, either on day 3 or 4. On Day 4, I was able to go on boat tour and Crescent Island on lake Naivasha but had to pay the entry fees for those on top of the safari tour price.

Most efficient, friendly, on time, knowledgeable
5/5

We loved our time with Godfrey. He became our family. He is a personable, knowledgeable guide, who is very responsible. He came highly recommended and I see why. From our very first point of contact until the end of our trip 11 days later, everything was top notch. Highly recommended.

Awesome safari and very good communication!
5/5

Lizzy at Leobeast is a charm, I would recommend anyone to book with her 👍 She communicated clearly and respectfully, gave me all the information I needed and also plenty of time to make my decision. On top of this, Leobeast offered very good value for money.

I enjoyed a 5-day budget safari (Maasai Mara - Nakuru - Naivasha) as a solo traveller in a group joining setting. We were with 6 tourists in the Land Cruiser, combined via different tour agencies. This worked very well.

The driver, Moses, was very skilled and knowledgeable. We felt perfectly safe with him behind the wheel and he was always kind and patient with us when we had questions or needed some explanation about the schedule for the next days.

The accomodation in the budget tour exceeded my expectations. The Lenchada Camp at Maasai Mara was very nice, with tents covered by a proper roof and equipped with private shower and toilet. The hotels in Nakuru and Naivasha were excellent. I would only recommend a medium-level tour over budget if you really want to have the lodge experience every night. But even then you need to be aware that you're spending very little time there as you're mostly up and about between 6 and 7 in the morning anyway.

Go there, but with another tour operator!
1/5

So there are many things, I don't know where to start:
- pick up at the place in Arusha was 1 hour to late, well that's Africa
- on the first day I haven't been with my safari group, there were two other woman, but they didn't make the same safari I did
- on the second day I met "my" safari group
- we saw a lion like 150m away on a tree, after that the driver couldn't start the motor and he said he wants us to push the car - with the lion not far away. No one felt safe out there and it didn't help anyway, so we got stucked for 2,5h over there
- after that it was quite late (7:30pm) and it's only allowed to drive there until 6pm. So the driver was speeding sooo fast, everyone was really afraid to die. One guy told him so slow down (pole, pole) but he reacted really unprofessional and said he has to hurry because of the rangers. He drove way to fast and brought us into several dangerous situations (water splashed all over the window, he couldn't see where he is driving, while speeding 80km/h in a park where max speed 50km/h
- driver didn't talk a lot to us
- sleeping bags and matresses stinked badly
- bad equipped campsites (no light in the bathroom, no toilet paper, no guardian in the night)

- and the worst thing: I paid way to much for this safari. Dennis charged me more than twice the price the other people from the safari spent for this trip. We had so bad accomodations, dangerous situations and he charged me for a medium price section and not for the low budget one.... I still try to get some money back for this experience

Please find another company! Nature over there is pretty, but this company just makes you feel bad and brings you in dangerous situations.

Fantastic knowledge and fantastic Safari
5/5

In April 2023, my wife and I and our two sons did a four day safari in the Mara triangle and we had Edward as our guide for the four days. We flew in from Diani Beach and he collected us from the small airstrip in his Safari land cruiser. This vehicle was in very good condition and you could tell this was his pride and joy. Edward was very flexible & allowed us to tailor our itinerary to suit what we wanted to do and that was typically a game drive in the morning after breakfast. Back to our hotel or another hotel for lunch, and then an afternoon game drive. We are fortunate that we have been to many African countries and done safari in many different places and I can honestly say that Edward is the most impressive guide. Firstly, he's got the most ridiculously incredible eyes, almost like binoculars where he was able to spot lions from a couple of miles away hiding in the shadows. Edward is the son of a Maasai chief and lives in the park so he knows every square centimetre like the back of his hand. We were very fortunate that we were, one of the few vehicles to actually spot a male leopard and also a female leopard protecting her cub from the male. She had a kill stashed in some trees which she sacrificed in order to save her cub from the advancing male leopard. Edward was always the 1st guide to find any animals during our four days and would kindly phone the other drivers to let them know our location so they could also share the joy of seeing some animals with their guests whether that was leopards, lions or elephants. I believe we were the only people to see a Cerval cat as they are very rare and elusive. I can highly recommend Edward & his tour company as I genuinely believe he is the best safari guide in the Mara triangle. He has personally vetted & trained the other guides to be effective trackers and accommodating guides for their guests. You will have a fantastic and memorable safari.

Be careful of this company!

I would urge HIGH LEVEL of CAUTION interacting with the main point of contact, Erastus.

He was incredibly evasive when trying to get information regarding the tour from him, and did not provide any details of the itinerary at any point.

We had agreed to pay the remainder of the deposit at the start of our safari. However, within minutes of us arriving at our hotel the day before the safari, he sent someone to demand we pay the remainder of the deposit... very suspicious on how he would know where we were staying! As this information wasn't provided to him yet.

I had organised drop off at the airport with him for 40USD. On the last day, no one, whether that be Erastus or the driver told us how we would get to the airport. At one point, Erastus said we will get picked up by the clock tower in Arusha.... no one (including the driver) knew where the clock tower was. Eventually, a fellow traveler told us that we were getting dropped off at his hotel.
At this point, Erastus appears out of nowhere and says he will accompany us to the airport with the driver. Throughout this whole time, he was trying to intimidate us and eventually forced us to pay him 50USD for the trip.

I would highly recommend you consider another operator than mafie adventures.

My son went to track and we were very much worried as he is only 17 yrs and was going alone with his another teen friend. But Kili climb gave them a family atmosphere and inspiration that he could summit. They were supportive all the time and communicated all updates to us. That we were relaxed at home.
Thanks is a small word to say.
