It's different if you compare it with the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We have seen a lot of monkey's and less bigger animals. But a visit, oh yes it is worthwhile.

We came from Lake Manyara and the Serengeti. It was overwhelming. And now we met as a bonus the hippo's with a baby (from 10 meters) and the rino. Fantastic scenery, all that animals walking in the crater. Excellent hotel (Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge).

This is the best place to visit to see Flamingos in the Lake and known for white rhinos and tree climbing Lions.

This is the only Game park within the City of Nairobi,so travelling time is max 30 min where ever you stay in Nairobi town, during my regular visits I have seen almost all the wild life including resident Lions with new born cubs as well, which one can see in major Game reserves apart from Elephants,...very good for birders during rainy season.Sometimes we see many migrant birds as far from Europe.

This trip was a lifelong dream fulfilled. As a young man I read a book called UHURU by Robert Ruark. It took me many decades to finally get there but it was more than well worth the wait. Each day was better than the next. Each day more exciting than the next. The people were great. Scenery great. Food great. Some of the roads left a lot to be desired but they made the trip more natural and rustic.

Tanzania is a fantastic place. We climbed Kilimanjaro so we had a whole host of porters and guides with. They were all really friendly and helpful. The wildlife was great, even if the parks are pretty busy.
