Wild Dogs for tea....
5/5

Roger at Safari Lifestyles did a great job in recommending our safari lodges. We are a family of 4 adults and our passion is photography and we wanted to get to areas like the Okavango and to camps were comfort was not as important as the wildlife... we loved it...!

3 lodges in all and one with a private vehicle for just the 4 of us even though we didn't ask for it... every box was ticked in terms of wildlife but I guess the best moment was stopping for afternoon tea and stretching our legs... a pack of wild dogs ran straight past us chasing an impala. We were immediately ushered back in to the car and gave chase .... Honestly, this is the just the most exciting stuff..!

Sincere thanks to Safari Lifestyles... we plan to come back in 2017 and would use use you again without hesitation... it really helped that you are wildlife photographer yourselves and that was evident in your huge amounts of advice.

Great experience in Mikumi!
Overall rating
5/5

We went on a 3-day safari in Mikumi National Park and it was a perfect safari experience. It is only about a 5-hour drive from Dar (it all depends on traffic--Fridays and Mondays take longer) but there were not many tourists once we got there, so you have the park to yourself to track down various animals. We were lucky enough to see male lions, female lions and their cubs as well as any other animal you could think of including birds! We saw elephants in a watering hole as well as hippos at another watering hole where you could get out and walk around. The park was beautiful and well-maintained. It stormed one night but overall the weather was perfect and the cloud formations out on the plains made for amazing photographs. There were one or two nice lodges (with restaurants) as well as outdoor camping options and cabin-type accommodations (with a small kitchen and local cooks associated with it). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and it's a great alternative to flying all the way to Arusha just for a short safari.

A safari that exceeded all expectations .
5/5

We requested a bespoke safari for 9 days and the recommendations were perfect . We saw wildlife in great numbers , and an unforgettable sight of a lion eating buffalo for breakfast surrounded by over 20 hyenas . Ben went to the right places and his timing was excellent . We enjoyed his company and appreciated his extensive knowledge . Thanks Marion for all your assistance .

Awesome guide, spotted animals way in distance. Good English & great explanations of habitat.
5/5

Website is a bit vague. Did not really know what to expect. Was a bit surprised at how rugged the experience was in the Serengeti. Very long and demanding days. Guide was great. He spotted animals that other guides missed. The Tulip hotel was just ok in Arusha. The second hotel would have been awesome to stay in for the whole trip, but it was too far from the "action". The tented camp was really good and the final hotel was superb. A really nice place to relax after a week of seeing the Big 5 +++.

Fantastic experience with Kiliholidays!
5/5

I can give my full recommendation to Kiliholidays. The contact person (Mack) was very helpful, and we managed to arrange all the formalities from home, including the airport transfer to Arusha organized by him (a couple of hours by bus from Dar Es Salaam). During the three day safari we were driving a Toyota Land Cruiser, and despite it was quite an old make it was indeed in mint condition. The driver (Tom) was very professional and helpful and proved to have immense knowledge about the wildlife. After a full day of driving around the national parks our cook (Rama) treated us with some of the most delicious food we had eaten during our stay in the mainland of Tanzania. Overall, the three day safari experience (including a day at Ngorongoro, a day at Tarangire and one at Lake Manyara) was a memorable experience, and not only due to the picturesque landscapes and the wildlife, but also because of the way it was organized. Overall, I would give a full five-star rating to Kiliholidays!

Rose responded very quickly to our initial enquiries and put together a perfect itinerary on short notice. All of our needs and requests were met and we didn't have to do anything ourselves. Thanks very much for a very memorable experience!

The worst holiday experience of my life
1/5

Before reading this please place 'Sunrise Eco Tours - Uganda tripadvisor' in search and read the review posted by Lauren V dated 19/1/16 on the Tripadvisor site....

I have waited until now before posting a review in the vain hope the owner of Sunrise EcoTours, Clement Kanamugire, may turn out to be an honourable and decent man and pay back what he owes. How wrong can you be!

To describe how this man acts - when emailing about compensation, he wanted me to forget the cost of the Gorilla permits, as, in his words the loan made to the tour leader had nothing to do with Sunrise Eco Tours and they had no knowledge of such a transaction. When i said this would mean he would have to pay the $750 back that had already been paid for the permits by each of the 5 people on the tour, (and that we would then send the money to the poor guy that loaned the money for us to attend the trek), he simply refused to reply.

To my knowledge he owes money to the 5 people on the... Read more tour described by Lauren above, the Australian couple who have had their tour cancelled, Kavos, the man that lent our guide the money for the Gorilla permits and also a travel agency which he should have paid commission to

Please please please do not book with this company.

Fun-filled adventure at the Maasai Mara!!
5/5

The staff Clever/Ole was very helpful. He sure we were comfortable at Enchoro where we stayed for 3 days and also assigned us to very knowledgeable guides while on safari. We had bonfire at night and maasai warriors came to share us their stories, culture, traditions.Next day, we visited their tribe, greeted with the warriors Jump Dance and ended up dancing and singing with the Maasai ladies. Our days were not enough I know I shall come back again, inshallah.
