Absolutely great landscape and wildlife

We saw a lot of different game, such as herds of Zebras, Springboks, Orys and lots of Elephants, Giraffes, Hyenas, Lion, Cheetahs and much more. The scenery was amazing, changing a lot from green to brown and green again. The pan is impressive too. We stayed at the Ongave Tented Camp just outside the park.

Wonderful - we could not have asked for more.

We went with Wild Wings and was guided by Simon. Three days at Sabi Sands, picked up by Simon in Jo'burg and staying in Skukuza. There were only four of us so the journey was comfortable and it was a great group. Simon was brilliant at finding and spotting game.

What we saw was amazing - within an hour of arriving we saw a baby elephant only a few days old, the hind legs of its mother still stained from the birth. By the end of the time we had seen just about everything except Cheetah. We even saw a pack of wild dogs.

The accommodation was very comfortable, in spacious bungalows with flushing loo and full shower. Simon cooked well for us and really looked after us. Out at 4.30 each day for the morning drive in an open sided vehicle, out again at 3.

Three things became clear - you need to be with an experienced guide; you need to be in an open-sided vehicle and you need to be based inside the park. Anything else and you are short-changing yourselves.

Bring... Read more binoculars, a good camera with a zoom lens and you will leave with a bright heart and a lifetimes of memories. We could not have asked for anything more.

Great times with great guides

We saw a variety of wildlife, had incredible weather and phenomenal food at The Hide. Our guides were very knowledgeable and found some of the best wildlife during our safari. We saw lions, wild dogs, a cheetah hunt, impala, zebra and so many other animals. I cannot wait to go back.

Everything from the campground to the transportation was excellent. Our driver was great and the state of the park was fantastic. Saw pretty much every animal that is native to the area and walked away with some fantastic photos. Highlight was definitely the family of cheetahs.

We only did Serengeti and Ngorongoro but both were fantastic. Couldn't have asked for more wildlife sightings.

An incredible tailored experience
5/5

My girlfriend and I are just back from a 12-day trip to Kenya which was organised by Daniel at Transtrek Safaris, and the service certainly exceeded our expectations.

Daniel had been helpful from the start, providing us with an initial itinerary and quote based on our requirements. We then worked together, via email and via Skype, to further tailor our itinerary to allow us to experience the best of Kenya and to fit within our budget. Daniel did not only take our requests but also provided guidance and advice based on his experience, and we are very happy that we trusted him.

We finally agreed on a packed itinerary which involved 9 days of safari (in Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Maasai Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo West) followed by 2 days of relaxation on Diani Beach near Mombasa.

The entire planning process was very smooth and pleasant.

Once in Kenya, we were taken very good care of from the moment we emerged from the airport, to the final drop-off on the... Read more last day. We did not have to worry about a thing other than enjoy our holiday. All the lodges/hotels that had been recommended by Daniel were amazing. Everything, from accommodation to meals, tours and internal flights, had been arranged as per our requests.

Peter, our guide/driver who stayed with us throughout our trip, was friendly, attentive, trustworthy and very professional - we had a great time with him and will truly miss him and his sense of humour! He is also a skilled spotter and a great driver, and made our experience even more special.

Our vehicle was very comfortable for the long drives, had ample space for storage (and even napping!) and was great for game viewing.

Finally, we had the pleasure to meet Daniel and his wife for dinner on our last day just before catching our flight back to the UK - it was great to share our experience with them and was a perfect conclusion to our trip.

Transtrek Safaris provided us with a customised, personal and friendly service which exceeded our expectations, and I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you so much for the experience of a lifetime!

Best trip in tanzania ever!
5/5

NOrthern Masailand Safaris was our tour operator for my husband and my first Safari in Tanzania. We had the best experience and the best trip of our lives. We knew Tanzania was the place to be, but this was above all expectations. The place is magical, but what makes a good trip is who you deal with, and this company was so professional from the beginning to the end. Always there to answer all our questions, very friendly, suggesting whats they think is best for you, and making you feel comfortable through the whole process. Our guide was fantastic, the food was good everywhere we went and the lodges were even better than we expected. I already want to go back and I would book with Northern Masailand Safaris again without a doubt.
Booking with them means feeling relaxed and safe.
