For organising an African safari from Australia there's no one better than African Encounter.
I've just returned from a most enjoyable and exciting safari in Africa, this time in Kenya. African Encounter organised every detail from arrival/ departure in Nairobi, including transfers, safari operator, accommodation etc. I'm a keen photographer and have used African Encounter six times in the past ten years to book safaris with a few colleagues in various parts of Africa and there has never been a hitch. They are capable African safari specialists with unbeatable knowledge and experience. They know their African connections well. It took only a few weeks to organise and complete the booking, and every detail was taken care of by Elaine and Patrick at African Encounter. I would not use an ordinary travel agent for a safrai, most have little knowledge of Africa.
Communication during the booking process was always prompt and friendly. I was given plenty of good advice, ideas and appropriate suggestions... this was important for getting the best for the recent trip, especially with my limited knowledge of Kenya.
The Safari in Kenya was fantastic, the safari operators (African Horizons) were the best and went out of their way for us. They knew where to find the wildlife, and we saw plenty. Accommodation, food, lodges etc were great, and were just what we wanted.
Whether you're a first timer looking for an African adventure, or going back to Africa again for another, I would highly recommend African Encounter.

Great agency, excellent guide
When me and my friends arrived in Arusha we almost made the mistake of going on a camping safari in the rainy season. Elias was the first agent to point this problem out and he is truly a professional in hist job. We got excellent accommodations and a fantastic guide, Robbie. He went out of his way to make us feel good and show us everything the national parks had to offer. The price was also very reasonable, better than the competition. I would go back anytime and travel with them. Big thumbs up!

Nairobi Day Tour
Matea Tours was very easy to work with - I was coordinating a day trip in Nairobi from overseas, and Georgette was very helpful, quick to respond, and offered good suggestions. We ended up having an amazing itinerary: Morning game drive in Nairobi National Park, visit to the Elephant Orphanage, the Giraffe Centre, and a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum. To make this day trip even better, we had an amazing tour guide named Patrick - he was very informative and has a great sense of humour. I would highly recommend requesting Patrick as your tour guide if you decide to do a similar or edited version of our itinerary. Everything was smooth, safe, and 100% memorable. Great company!

An amazing experience thanks to Adrian
We can't recommend Adrian and Easy Travel enough. They made sure to go above and beyond to ensure that we had a great holiday, for our 5 day safari tour in Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Everything was well organized and professional. Adrian was a knowledgeable guide, and a top notch bloke. He could answer anything we asked, and was flexible with any plans. Easy Travel even told us that we could contact them wherever we were in Tanzania, if we needed help with anything at all after our safari. So, all in all, we are so happy that we spent our safari with a lovely, genuine, and knowledgeable guide.

Exceptional experience
thank you it started in africa for the great time during our safari and mt meru hike. The company workers helped us in everything we required help (also finding out the whereabouts of my lost jacket and after 4 days of calling around, finally getting it back for me, this was very very helpful, for sure impossible on your own). The customer support in arusha, rafael made us feel at home, our safari guide anthony was chilled out and very experienced, the cook mendi definietely the best on the planet. The team on mt meru very great with szaban our guide who had patience for us and a lot of knowledge about the park nature. The cook, minister of food, did a great job too:). So pole pole, and hakuna matata, choose it started in africa for your tour operator, you won't regret it!

Best Safari Experience of our lives
We were with absolute safaris for 7 days and had the best time. We had read a few reviews before booking them but didn't really know what we were up for. Ben picked us up at the Nairobi airport and he was a very polite shy man. He was our Safari driver and guide too. He did the best to show us all the animals to his level best. He seemed quite popular too with the other safari drivers. He made sure we were comfortable at every stage and was patiently answering all of our questions. We had a few amazing game drives. it was quite thrilling. Nothing like what we had expected. The highlight was that we saw leopards which are very rare in that season to be spotted.
David, at the Safari office was extremely accommodative and booked for us our numerous journeys within Kenya,other than the safari. He helped us with our airport transfer back too. On the whole, and amazing experience and i would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone why maybe thinking of going with them.
Thanks to Ben, David and Albert for making our Kenya trip the most memorable one :)

Perfect arrangements
We found African Encounter through a friend who has used them to plan his annual safari vacations in South Africa for almost 20 years. From the beginning, Elaine and Patrick were terrific partners in planning and executing our own safari. They recommended parks and lodges that matched our criteria for location, game viewing, style, kid-friendliness, and price without trying to up-sell us to more expensive arrangements (as did another travel agent we had consulted). They handled bookings for lodges, hotels, in-country flights, local guides and ticket purchases, and airport transfers/pickups, all of which went flawlessly. Everything was fantastic!

Wonderfull 7 Days Safari with Northern Circuit Adventure
Hello all,
My girlfriend and I did a 7 days safari with Northern Circuit Adventure in late November 2015, we travel trough Tarangire N.P. , Lake Manyara N.P, 3 days at Serengeti N.P., Ngorongoro N.P and finally Arusha N.P.
Everything went as we planned with Mike form Northern Circuit Adventure, from the pick up at the airport to the drop off!
We did a group tour and we share our car with other 3 persons (an italian couple and a german guy).
We highly recommend this tour operator since it has his own car (a very good Toyota Land Rover) and it seems to us very well organized and very professional.
We were also very lucky to share our magnificent experience with a great guide/driver and exceptional person as it was Salomon, he is very patient, great observer and very knowledge when it comes down to animal behavior and tanzanian history and lifestyle!
We were also very happy about our chef...a great cooker, Moussa (I hope I write it properly) a big guy that cook delicious food, abundant portions and always with a contagious big smile!
So to conclude, I would highly recommend you to organize this lifetime experience with Northern Circuit Adventure, you won't regret it!

Excellent opcion
We had excellent service offered by Peter and Louis, who tried to do everything in our 3 days Safari, to be really wonderful.
I asked the exchange of Rhino Lodge for Sopa Lodge which was perfect, one of the most beautiful scenes we had the privilege to meet in our lives.
Louis is a guide from Arusha which has a huge knowledge of all the animals of the region and other other tabs. This helps a lot for us to feel in good hands to find the animals in the correct locations.
We saw almost all animals and it was a unique experience in our lives.
PS: Do not forget to take a good Tips to Louis as he deserves.
