My 5-day hike to Kilimanjaro's peak via Marangu route was intense but wonderful! The scenery drastically changes every day, from lush rainforest, through volcanic and moon-stone landscapes into snowy heights. The ascent starts gradually and culminates into the summit day which was demanding but nonetheless for me very enjoyable. I've had a great time as a solo traveller, met a lot of friendly people on the way and felt like I was part of something bigger than me. The huts where we slept were surprisingly well equipped and maintained, my guide Omben and the cook Fabian were great and overall this was a good value for the money that I've paid. This is a once in a lifetime experience that every serious adventurer should consider adding onto his/her bucket list! :)

Amazing Experience with Kilimanjaro On Foot!
We recently climbed Kilimanjaro via the 8-day Lemosho route with Kilimanjaro On Foot, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! It was tough at times, but the incredible support from the team made all the difference.
Our guides, Chacha and Anael, were simply amazing. They were not only extremely knowledgeable but also great company. They shared so much interesting information along the way, and we had the best conversations with them. Their support and encouragement kept us going, especially on the toughest days.
Our cook, Peter, went above and beyond to prepare delicious meals for us, even when the altitude made it hard for us to eat. Every time, there was something ready for us, ensuring we had the energy to continue.
And then there were our incredible porters—Erick, Bony, Nelson, Seph, David, Mathius, Hans, Kamis, and Joshua. Without them, we would never have made it to the top. Their dedication and kindness were unbelievable. They met us on the trail, took our bags when we were struggling, cleaned our boots, and even brought us tea in our tents. The level of care and support they provided was beyond words.
From the very beginning, everything was well-organized. Alfa handled all the arrangements via email from the Netherlands. He responded quickly and answered all our questions, making the entire booking process smooth and stress-free.
If you're considering climbing Kilimanjaro, do it with this local organization! They are genuine, professional, and truly care about your experience. We couldn't have asked for a better team.

Amazing travelling with Lion Guides Safaris!!
Last year we met Lukiano during our safari in Tanzania. We had a great time.
Back home we couldn’t forget our great time in Tanzania, we wanted to go back because of all the stories Lukiano told us with a lot of passion for his work and country.
Lukiano made for us a great itinerary and so our journey together could start again.

Lukiano told us about Mount Meru and we wanted to take on the challenge to conquer the mountain. The crew who took care of us on the mountain was incredible, they are all friends for a long time and you felt really the warmth of everyone.
We really enjoyed climbing Mount Meru together but it didn't stop at this great adventure, it went so much further.
Lukiano put together our trip wonderfully! We asked to meet the local population and we got it so well. It started with meeting the family and village of Dorit and Lukiano, which was incredible.
Shopping and going to the market in Arusha, we also enjoyed that immensely. Meeting the different tribes (Hadzabe, Datoga, fishermen by Lake Eyasi), eating goat at the local market, a song especially for us on a boat in Lake Manyara, swimming in the waterfalls by Lake Natron, visiting the Masai and so on…It was really great and we enjoyed it to the fullest!
Early in the morning being eye in eye with an enormous group of Lions in Tarangire while the sun was rising was amazing, we will never forget! Even meeting 3 leopard on one day was unbelievable.
Also all accommodations and food were of the highest level!
Lukiano and Dorit have an incredible feeling for what their guests want and they do everything for their company Lion Guides Safaris. We wish you all the best and are very thankful for everything.
We don’t say goodbye but see you again! One day we will come back and we will definitely book again with Lion Guides Safaris! For everyone who reads this, don’t doubt, just travel with Lion Guides Safaris because they are the best!!

The best and most fun safari experience I've had
Ben was absolutely amazing and turned a beautiful sarafi filled with so many animals into an unforgettable 3 days filled with laughter and fun. The accommodations were all comfortable and the food was all top notch. I would 100% book with him again!

Great animal tour
It was a great trip. We saw lions hunting buffaloes at sunset, hippos bathing in the Maasai River, leopards taking a nap on trees in the afternoon, and cheetahs chasing and playing in the early morning. The travel agency responded quickly and had a WeChat account. The driver and tour guide were very skilled.
