Recommending Africa Remote Safaris
5/5

We want to thank you for this great safari!
We had a wonderful stay in Kenya and Tanzania.( with Zanzibar)
Your organization was perfect, at no time we were disappointed. Except for the short delay at the border, not your fault of course. We saw landscapes, animals and made many friends along the way. We shall never forget Mto wa Mbu.

During all our safari we met 3 great guides, true professionals:
Agoi in Kenya
Shaff in Tanzania
Mwalima, our guide for Zanzibar spice tour.
A big thank you to these 3 people they were patient and always listening to us and always available for us. They have incredible knowledge of animals, the country and its cultures.
Regarding accommodations, Ol Moran Camp in Maasai Mara, Serenet Lodge on Lake Victoria, and Tingitana Ndutu Camp were execellent, better than some hotels in here in London! The food was very good,
Thank you to all the team of Africa Remote safaris for making this Safari a memorable experience for us.
THANK you! we are very happy.

Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi & D.R. Congo
5/5

I am an experienced solo traveler and often coordinate my trips with local guides. My experience with Africa Adventures Safaris was one of the best I've ever had. Nicholas worked with me to develop a trip tailored to exactly what I wanted and the time window that I had- he was excellent to work with and really gave me great advice about what was and was not doable in my timeframe. Amazingly, this level of personal service also ended up being the least expensive but most comprehensive of all of the options I explored for my trip to East Africa.

My guide when I arrived was Sam Elliott. It can sometimes be difficult to be in a car with even the closest of friends for 11 days , but not with Sam- he was the consummate professional, answering all of my questions and engaging in a wide range of discussion topics addressing everything from local customs and commerce the geopolitics, the genocide, and the civil society issues in Burundi and Uganda. Sam also communicated with people in seemingly a dozen languages as we traversed East Africa, and was able to really help me connect with people.

My aggressive itinerary included lots of primate tracking: Lowland Gorillas in Kahuzi-Biega National Park in Congo, Mountain Gorillas and Golden Monkeys (a highlight not to be missed) in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable park in Uganda, and Chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park. Rwanda and Uganda are amazing as advertised. I found Burundi to be very culturally interesting (highlighted by the Gishora Drum Sanctuary) and distinct from Rwanda- worth a day or two to see, but not worth lingering. Similarly, going to Congo was an adventure in itself and the gorilla tracking there is a different experience- much less touristy than in Rwanda. I was a bit nervous about it, but it was relatively (to itself) safe at the time and Nicholas had made excellent arrangements (my guide there was local to Bukavu and was excellent- but I forgot his name).

Most amazingly, not a single thing went wrong on the entire trip. For anybody who has traveled extensively in Africa, you know how unbelievable that is. Africa Adventures Safaris took care of everything and everything went nearly exactly as planned on my itinerary. Given the countries I was in, that is the most amazing thing of all, and a tribute to their preparation, local contacts, and professionalism. As I told Sam when I left, I don't think I could have had as good of an experience in this region without him and without Africa Adventures Safaris. Thank you again!

10 Days Kenya Safari
5/5

This was our first Safari in Africa. We can’t quite get the exact words to describe our Safari but Extra ordinary comes close. After Months of being fixed on wildlife television channels and wishing we could cross into the Television screen, we finally travelled to Kenya.
Our Driver for the Safari was Haron aka ‘Simba’ . He had eyes of lynx and very keen.At some point we thought he had eyes at the back of his head due to his animal spotting skills. When he saw something he always showed us. 9 out of 10 of his sightings were correct. Sometimes the Lions were hidden in the grass camouflage, rare serval, 2 leopards after mating in the Aberdare park and the Rhinos at Lake Nakuru. We have taken more than 3000 pictures for the 10 Days we were in Kenya as well as more than 8 hours film. Apart from a few blurred images(due to our poor photography experience),there isn't much to throw away.
Speaking of Africa Remote Safaris, we would highly recommend this company if you are looking for a reasonably priced or Mid budget tour. Our quote was unbelievingly 30% less than most bench marked companies here in the UK. The professionalism of the team can only be compared to the beautiful landscapes of Kenya. We want to thank Amy who organised all the paperwork, our guide Haron- we will not forget his jokes, Joseph the cook, so good with dishes and kindness which just read on his face. We were sad to say goodbye at the end of the 10 days. Unforgettable!! Thank you very much.We will definitely return and maybe try out Tanzania ,Zanzibar and of course request if possible for the winning combination of Haron and Joseph . Thank you.

Tailor made Safari vacation
5/5

Our 12 day vacation to Tanzania and Zanzibar was overall excellent. Safarihub recommended us with a very good mix of lodges consisting of tented and permanent lodges which was an experience by itself. There were some small areas of improvement for the lodges which I have detailed on trip advisor.

Initially we had asked several tour operators regarding our trip and we were happy to go with Safarihub due to their knowledge and exceptional customer service and to top things off the price was good. The driver and guide was super and we enjoyed array of conversations from American politics to fishing in Zanzibar. All in all a splendid trip.

Well planned budget Safari holiday
5/5

We were recommended by a friend to book our Safari with Safarihub and after initially speaking with Zuzana I was convinced to book with them, the knowledge she had and price she offered sounded like a great deal. The recommendation of national parks and lodges (within our budget) was spot on and we were prepared for what to expect, I am glad we were informed on how much to tip the driver and guides. It was a great relaxed and stress free holiday and I saw everything I wanted.

A breathtaking journey to a magical place with a surprise around every corner
Overall rating
5/5

The night before our visit to Ngorongoro National Park , my partner and I had booked a stay at the secluded Kiruruma Tented Lodges after a visit to Lake Manyara National Park. We had arranged this through our hotel in Moshi and were not prepared for what we found. A must! We were given a warm welcome by the staff there and were met with drinks at the entrance. We were then taken down a series of pathways, through the natural flora to our lodge. It was beautifully designed in every detail and luxuriously furnished to a standard we hadn't expected. Each lodge is set away from the next and is perched on the hillside with stunning, uninterrupted views of the Serengeti from its veranda . Ours was called 'Kilimanjaro'. The staff were already aware that we had climbed the mountain 2 days before but we never found out if this was a coincidence or by design. Everything about our stay was outstanding: the food in the thatched restaurant, the friendly and efficient service and of course our accommodation and a peaceful night's sleep.
Our driver, Chaz could not have been any more accommodating. He was very knowledgeable and could be relied upon to tell us about the culture, flora and forna of the area; occasionally pulling to a halt, en route to the reserve, to show us animals he had spotted (on one occasion Masai Giraffes). He had also advised us to make an early start to make the most of the day and we were so glad that he did. The Ngorongoro Crater itself is one of the natural wonders of the world and our first view of it was breathtaking, in its beauty and sheer scale! (260 square kms). We wound our way down the 600m to the crater floor. If you are an animal lover (or even if you are not) this is heaven! We saw everything we hoped to see and so much more. Chaz's keen eye spotted animals we would never have otherwise seen and he was always on hand to identify animals for us. On the day we went, the weather was warm and sunny and perfect for taking pictures or for seeing more elusive animals through our binoculars (like black rhino!). It was surprising how close we could get to wild animals in their natural environment: elephants, lions, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, buffalo, baboons, ostrich, hyaena, gazelles and so much more. All from the safety of the 4X4! We only had the 2 of us and our driver in the car and this allowed us a little more flexibility, I think. Chaz was always happy to stop when we asked him or drive to where we could view animals we had a particular interest in and he played a big part in making the trip so special and one we will never forget. A MUST for anyone who finds themselves in Tanzania!

Safari, Beach & Padi all in 14 days
5/5

The itinerary and accommodation was fully organised on our behalf by Safarihub. We chose to go with Safarihub due to their high number of reviews, informative website and good prices also not forgetting well experienced safari consultants whom we spoke to in the London and Arusha office. We spent a total of 8 days in the national parks followed by a week in Zanzibar, where I managed to get to the first level of my Padi course. Which is something I have wanted to since I was a child. It was an awesome experience and I look forward to returning sometime in the not so distant future.
