Natasha at Sun Safari's always books us the best camps and locations for incredible experiences!
I have been using Sun Safari's services for the last 10 years and I would not use any other company to book with. I have family still in South Africa and visit as often as I can and always add 2-3 private game reserves to each trip. The trip we just did was the best to date for our family of 5. We stayed at Umkumbe and Tangala this time and saw everything and then some more. In all my trips the leopard has always eluded me and this time we had lots of sightings in both camps, super special. I find staying 2-3 nights in each camp gives a more varied experience in both camps, camp culture and a chance to see different game, especially in the reserves backing onto Kruger. I can't wait to book my next trip...

Great Accommodations, Saw Many Cats
My partner and I did the 5 day Great Safari Tour of Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. If we had to skip one with the fewest animal signings for us it would be lake Manyara. In September dry season between Serengeti and Ngorongoro we must have seen over 10 lions, 2 cheetah, about 4 jaguar. Serengeti is the peak.
Tour is nice, do not do the camping option, the next tier up the "Great" package is much better value. Suricata somewhat frustratingly changed hotels frequently from what we were quoted, the Suricata Bomba Lodge is 10/10 hence the 5 star rating. In Serengeti the Tent Lodge is a cool experience.
Tips: Suricata is good I would go with them again maybe the 4 day without Manyara. It gets so dusty on safari, bring a way to protect your camera and binocs. Don't be afraid to ask your driver to move for a better angle if you are trying to take a nice photo.

World class operators who really take " duty of care " seriously and intentionally.
This was a one in a life time trip for my friend and me. We were in Dar Salam to attend a conference. We thought we would get a safari in before our meetings. We got in touch with Lekobe Adventures Safaris by email and within a day Jessica responded. We thought we wanted to go to the serengeti because thats all we knew and she proposed options based on the time we had and our budget. Finally we chose Mukumi park - a two day safari via an express train to and from Dar Salam. One of the things I really appreciated was when I asked if we could change the accomodation because my research showed that what they suggesting didnt meet my standards. I found another place, they immediately made the change at a small cost.
Communication before we arrived in Tanzania was consistent with information on what to pack and what to expect, The day before our safari - Elvis tour coordinator came and gave us briefing at the hotel - he was kind, knowledgeable and made us feel so excited about the trip. We were picked up at 4am by Michael who drove us to the trainstation and where we were met by Elvis. He checked us in - we had royal class tickets which is basically 1st class tickets. The train was clean, modern and comfortable. The two hour ride was over in 2 hours.
Our tour guide Eric was a humble person who was super knowledgeable, non intrusive and always made sure that we were having a good time. He was so skilled that we got to see many of the animals on our bucket list including lions, leopard, zebras, giraffes, water buffalos, hippos, crocodiles and many birds and slithering lizards and snakes.
Our tented accomodation a Vuma was stunning , luxurious and just surreal. The food - 3 course meals for dinner was sooooo good and breakfast - too good as we say in Fiji. All I got to say is that I am super impressed and the memories I have of my safari is thanks to the amazing team at Lekobe adventures.

A seamless adventure from start to finish! Phinorah and the team were fantastic. We particularly loved the flamingos at Lake Nakuru and the breathtaking views of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Amboseli. Our guide Justus was knowledgeable and friendly. Can't wait to book with them again.

never better
This has been an extraordinary journey that surpassed my expectations. The itinerary unfolded exactly as we had planned, and the accommodations were precisely what we desired. I wholeheartedly recommend our guide, Juli, to everyone. He exuded enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility as he guided us through the grasslands. We had the incredible opportunity to witness the Big 5 and encounter a multitude of other animals. The entire journey was nothing short of awe-inspiring.

A trip I am most proud of to recommend to my friends
It is very competitive for the safari business in Tanzania and we are lucky to know the Passionate Guides -- A small operator founded by Beatus. After comparing with another 14+ operators, we chose to go with the Passionate due to the professional suggestions, fast response speed and a better price. Even if we were still a little bit worried about the trip (as we've never been to Africa before) but we feel assured soon after we met Beatus and our guide Athuman at the JRO airport. After 7 days when we left, we were 150% satisfied with our trip and fully loaded with the valuable memory in Tanzania. After comparing with some of my friends going with other operators afterwards, I really feel there are several very good points worth my recommendation to the Passionates:
1. The safari jeep is in good maintanence: The road is pretty bad for transportation between and within the national parks (Especially the way to Lake Natron). Even if it is dry seaon in Sep, the safari Landcruiser can still easily break down on the super bumpy road. Our Landcruiser were all good across the trip and our guide Athuman drove skillfully and carefully. He also cleaned the window of vehicle daily to keep clear view for us. This is quite a basic requirement but many other operators still may not be able to notice it.
2. Willing to listen to clients' needs and act profesisonally: Since we met at the airport Beatus emphasized that it was always better discussing with our guide Athuman what we need in time. We indeed did as he suggested: We always discussed the next day's plan daily on the dinner table and told him what animals we wish to see. Athuman tried his best during day time satisfying our needs and provided us chances to take wonderful photos for the animals. Even if we spent long time for some day hurried from on location to the other, he would get up very early at 6AM with us to earn some time for our game drive. Good communication with the clients can make both sides happy, we really appreciated this from Beatus's team.
3. Providing professional gear and suggestions: We went to Antarctica before but were not aware of taking a professional camera for high resoluaiton shots. Therefore we prepared a camera with a heavy 60-600 mm lens with us for this trip. Before we arrived, we were checking if Beatus can provide us with bean bags for support the camera on the vehicle, and he prepared it for us for free as well as providing some useful suggestions for photo graphing for animals. This is a very good evidence showing their professionality.
When we went back home, Beatus and his team came to welcome and check with us the feedback for this whole trip. Throughout all these activities, I really feel they are seriously running this business with true passion in their mind for the career. And it indeed brought the clients like me unforgettable experience in Africa. Therefore, I recommend the Passionate for safari tour in Tanzania without any reservation.
