Magical adventure
5/5

Our African safari with Natureways was absolutely amazing. Everything we hoped for and more! Our guides, Mark and Manu, were extremely knowledgeable and a lot of fun to be around. They taught us so much about the animals (and great picture taking advice) hopefully we can remember it all! Fanta and the gang ran a great camp. The food was amazingly delicious considering there is no electricity or running water. Everything was done over a campfire. The tents were spread out enough where you thought you were on your own, which made the nights that much more exciting. The sounds of the animals all night were awesome. We had a great canoe trip, with close up encounters with hippos, crocodiles and elephants. The water was low and it was quite windy, which made for harder paddling, and some portage of the canoes. The next day we were supposed to continue our paddle, but were so exhausted we asked if we could do a land safari. The guides happily obliged and off we went! The biggest thing to remember is you are not in a zoo. The animals are in the wild and you have to go looking for them. That being said, Mark and Manu put us on so many different animals we were absolutely ecstatic. We had very close encounters, on foot as well as in canoes and trucks, with lions, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, all types of antelope, baboons, monkeys, water buffalo, jackals, beautiful birds, monitors, mongoose, and many more. It was absolutely magical, the trip of a lifetime! Bush safaris are the only way to go for us. Thank you so much!

Most friendly, reliable and responsible tour operator which is locally based
5/5

I had been with a team member of Mugenyi Eco-Tours before twice and thus chose the company for my tour to Queen Elizabeth parc this time again, because I highly appreciate the manner they treat customers and this time in addition (new company) the idea of a sustainable tourism. So going on a safari is not only watching animals on game drives or guided tours, but the feeling to be a guest and come close to the local life and people. So they spent time with us during dinners, showed us places explaining the life of local people living in this area, discussing all aspects of life in Uganda, so I got the feeling of having really been in this country and not only a leisure parc. I especially liked the community walk through a village and its plantations seeing how various types of vegetables and fruit are grown next to each other and learning a lot about how bananas, coffee, cacoa and vanilla and many more are grown. I also like the idea of organizing the tours with respect to the environment, be it nature or man. So you can borrow reusable bottles and refill your drinking water from big cans instead of using a lot of small plastic bottles, which is unfortunately very common. You can select your lodges also following such aspects, so we stayed in a very nice lodge that followed the same principles. In general, our tour was built according to our wishes (e.g. including walks, not only drives), and the communication was very smooth. I would recommend this tour operator as for all this great experience you really do not pay a lot. Most of the money is for the parc fees anyway.

I had a really great solo safari with Pavillion
4/5

The safari was certainly value for money, reliable and I enjoyed to meet new people who were a very a convivial bunch. Moses our driver and tour guide together with Solomon were also excellent and knowledgeable tour guides. The only thing to improve on is for better communication between safari headoffice staff and on the ground third party tour operators regarding safari add ons and trip amendments.

Greg Adventures - An Amazing Safari!
5/5

Greg Adventures prepared and delivered an amazing safari experience for my wife and I, perfect as part of the celebrations for our wedding anniversary, and a trip we'd always longed to make. From start to finish, the organisation, communication, payment, planning, fitting in around our schedule, suggesting ideas, airport pick up, etc and so on...everything was brilliantly handled, and with great responsiveness to my millions of questions (thank you!).

Some hints and tips:

1) Take binoculars, one set per person. Most animals you can see without bins, however, the big cats are often more elusive.
2) Be ready for some long days in a Toyota Landcruiser, and be sure to have used the facilities before you set off.
3) Be ready for seeing wildlife that will exceed all expectations, never stop looking.
4) Consider a day by the pool or on the beach at the end of the trip...you'll be tired and dusty...
5) Take a minimum 4 days on safari but if you're really short on time then probably stick to Tanzania, e.g. Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire.
6) And most of all, book your trip with Greg Adventures!!!

Every day was just more and more amazing, after thinking we'd seen it all on days 1 and 2, we were just constantly blown away by the sheer number of animals we could see, literally thousands upon thousands upon thousands, of all sorts.

Our highlights were the elephants and giraffes, but seeing the wildebeest on migration, a lion cub, eight black rhino, plus leopard, lion and cheetah, and all the rest on top was incredible.

The guides were also amazing, Fred in Tanzania and Joe in Kenya especially great. Fabulous, kind, friendly, happy, knowledgeable, informative and engaging guys, both with terrific senses of humour - we really enjoyed being with them and they were such great fun to be with. They turned an already great trip into a truly fabulous trip! That would be hint and tip 7...ask for Fred and Joe!

Accommodations were very good, especially in Tanzania. The experience of a luxury tent actually on the Serengeti with the hyenas whistling in the night, the footsteps of lions and the grumbling of buffalo...definitely nights never to be forgotten.

If you're thinking about a safari...then go for it...and seriously take a look at Greg Adventures, they genuinely did not disappoint!

Holiday of a lifetime
5/5

planned a last minute Kenya Safari as a family of 4. From the moment we contacted Super Eagles, Chanson gave us options of different safaris. We initially wanted to do a private mid-range safari, however due to places being booked up so close to visiting, we opted for a budget private safari. Chanson booked all our hotels / tents, which though basic were clean and had good meals with friendly staff. He also helped us book our SGR to and from Mombasa and arranged for a driver to pick us up at Mombasa to take us to our hotel. Chanson was in touch with us throughout and very helpful. Our guide Jackson was also amazing. He himself was from Maasai and when in the Mara he knew most of the rangers and people. He was able to spot animals minutes before we could even see them! He had an exceptional eye and knew exactly where to go. We saw 11 lionesses, 4 cubs, 6 cheetahs, 3 hyenas as well as all the herbivores all on the first day in the Mara. Our next stop was Naivasha where we cycled at Hell’s Gate which was an amazing experience. We also went on a boat trip on the lake where we saw birds like pelicans and eagles at close range. Nakuru was a pleasant surprise for us as we didn’t know much about it before we went. We saw many animals including the Cape buffalo but the icing on the cake was the rhinos especially the baby one and a male lion. We ended our trip in Amboseli where we saw the giant elephants plus many more animals. We just missed a pride of lions and had a small glimpse of a cheetah but were not disheartened as we had seen saw much in our few days already. We saw 4 of the big 5 during our safari and we had an exceptional time and couldn’t believe how refreshed we felt each day! A huge thank you to Chanson for organising the trip and to Jackson who was the nicest guide we could have asked for. My kids absolutely loved him and his knowledge of where the animals were was absolutely mind boggling. A truly memorable experience!
