Excellent experience, combining professionalism , kindness and choice of areas for safari and lodge
Our experience has been extraordinary. Safaris and tour as a whole had all you can expect from these activities: adventure, comfort, luxury in most of the hotels, kind deal, without any lack of seriousness.
We leave to the Wildebeest technics to decide about the best areas (according to the season ) for visiting, and likewise about the lodges . Their chosen options had been always correct: to visit Ndutu Area when all mammals breed at the same time, and you can drive freely has given us the opportunity of undergo some of the more amazing safaris in our live.
Moreover, the chosen lodges offered luxury, kind personnel attention and perfect locations. We are mainly impressed with the Kitela and the Burunge Tented Camp. Both are among the better hotels we’ve ever known.
As in the continent, our stage in Zanzibar was also pleasant. We enjoyed a lot with the Breeze Hotel facilities and personnel care. Meal, services, pool, cleanliness of rooms …
Thanks to all the staff of Wildebeest Safaris Ltd. Mainly to Hamza, who was our guide for all purposes. We’ll never forget this experience, and we promise to repeat as soon as it may be possible!

Beware, you get what you pay for
First and foremost if you are looking for the economy version of a safari then WS Safari may be for you. Also be prepared for older Land Rovers, unexpected changes, and uniformed guides. Moses states the vehicles are well maintained and up to date which is far from the truth. Also Moses cares more about making money then customer satisfaction. He added 2 more people mid trip which made the small Land Rover we were in cramped. We were told to be at breakfast by 6am to get an early start but our guide wasp er an hour late due to picking up more guests. No one told us what was going on. Constantly there was a major lack of communication between clients and the safari company. Our guide who was nice but lacked information about parks and wildlife. He also misidentified several species of birds. More often than not the guests spotted the wildlife and had to ask to stop. On the final day we stopped at a tourist junk store and were told that another car would pick 4 of us up. This wasn't a problem but we were never told of this change. Overall we saw wildlife and if you are trying to do a safari on a budget then go for it. But Beware, you get what you pay for!

Service well tailored to our needs, budgets and expectations
Fred offered us a tour customized 7-day tour according our needs: budget accommodation, Nakuru-Naivasha-Masai Mara and a driver just for two of us. We were extremely satisfied with the trip and with our driver Leonard who accommodated all our inquires and wishes. Leonard is a well experienced driver and wildlife expert. We did 3 long game drives from 6 am till 6 pm in Masai Mara traveling long distances away from other cars and had the luxury to observe the animals in privacy. Leonard is very dedicated and tireless. We saw all animals with the exception of leopard. That one is probably the hardest to see and Leonard did try his best to find one. Luck was not on our side. Our best regards to Fred and Leonard!

1 Day safari to Ngorongoro crater
I chose to go on a 1 day safari to Ngorongoro crater in the last minute, through shadows of Africa. My experience with Jake in coordinating the schedule was outstanding. He made every attempt to make the schedule work. The email responses were very prompt.
The safari itself was awesome and couldn't have asked for a better experience! Richard was my guide, he is very experienced, friendly and knew his ways around at the crater!
There was no delay in the arrival/departure times. The lunch was good too and most importantly we were able to see most of the animals!!
I would definitely recommend Shadows of Africa to anyone I know without a doubt!

One of the best experiences of my life
Extraordinary Journey did an incredible job with booking my trip. This was a birthday gift to myself, my best friend and I went on this amazing trip and I was very happy. From the help in the beginning to the end, they were nothing but gracious, helpful, and knowledgeable. They helped picked the perfect properties to match my personality and what all I wanted to do, they were incredibly helpful with tips and how-to's from everything to where to stay to how much to tip. I am looking forward to booking my next trip with them.

Excellent gorilla safari
I arranged our 4 day gorilla safaris or 7 people over the Internet via their website. Our guide Bosco was excellent. He was waiting at the airport for us as promised. His vehicle was excellent and he was always punctual.
The service was excellent throughout the safari and I would book with Umubano Tours if I were to return to Rwanda.
At the end of our tour my daughter left her trip journal in the Land Rover when we said good bye to Bosco at the airport. I assumed that we would never see it again but Bosco found it in the vehicle and rushed back to the airport to return it to us just before our flight departed. Needless to say she was overjoyed.
