Excellent safari!
5/5

Before the trip many times I wrote letters and called to Mr.Otieno about our route. He helped create the best route. In nine days we visited 5 parks in Kenya and Tanzania. Total we had four people from. When we arrived Otti already waited for us in airport. He took us to a nice hotel and organized a tour of Nairobi. All hotels and campgrounds where we stayed was consistent with price and quality. The driver was a good guide and very well known parks. Addition to the driver , with us the whole trip was a great cook who always cooked delicious food. During Safari had no problems, we saw all the big five, made the best photos and went to rest on Zanzibar. If you need more information, Otti have my contacts.

Communication with Kenyawalk
5/5

We found KenyaWalk on this website and we chose to contact them because of the excellent reviews we read here. Though our safari is due in July, we can say that we already have very good impressions on KenyaWalk and the company's boss, Oti. He is very quick and effective when it comes to communication and it is also easy to contact him on Skype. We think he is funny, open, flexible and patient with his clients. We are very excited and can't wait to meet Oti and his team and go on a safari with KenyaWalk.

exciting and a different experience
4/5

I think Kenya walking tours are good and trustworthy. What I liked best are the game drives in Samburu national reserve and MasaiMara. The tent were equipped with beds and showers, but there was no connectivity and couldn't send messages nor an wi fi. I admit the distances between one park and the other are too far and we spent alotof time on the roads, some of them really rough and bumpy which left me exhausted at times butin the end you'll find it was worth it.

Great tour company - delevers as promised
5/5

I gathered all of the information necessary on the plan for my safari. I invited quotes by email from several companies, meanwhile friends of ours recommended Base Camp whom they have used before and were happy with their experience. I contacted base camp, initially the quote took quite a while to come through and the subsequent emails were not replied, hence, I almost selected a different company to go with. Mr. Achmed replied back just before we confirmed with a different company, the price was comparable to the other company though it was not the lowest. Due to the references, I decided to go with Base Camp.
We were greeted on arrival in Kili airport by our driver, Thomas, who drove us to Ilburo Safari Lodge for the initial night stay. The next day we drove to the Ngorongo Crater. We saw a lot of animals and we stayed at the Serena Lodge on the top of the crater. The dinner buffet at the lodge was very good with lots of choices. The entertainment program was an amazing acrobatics act. The box lunches at all Serenas were very basic, and not anywhere close to the buffet at the hotel. The breakfast had a variety of choices. The next day we drove to Serengeti National Park. We saw lion prides with cubs, leopards, lots of zebras and wildebeest. We did not do the early morning game drives as the lodge was a bit far from the action and the driver suggested that it may be too hard to come back for breakfast. The next day we saw a migration wildebeest heard crossing the road but a lot fewer lions. After Serengeti we drove to Lake Manyara where we saw some elephants and baboons, no lions. We continued on the next day to Tarangire and stayed at the safari lodge before returning back to Arusha. Achmed met us both the initial day that that we arrived and also after the safari and gave us lots of tips. Our driver Thomas was a bit reserved sometimes, but knowledgeable about the animals and spoke decent English. All in all I am happy with our decision to go with Basecamp Safaris Ltd and would choose this company again in the future.

Excellent safari with Kenya Walking
5/5

Had a very good experience and time with a safari organised by Kenya Walking Survivors. Great availability of the director Mr Otieno who follows everything and monitors the quality of their services. Special thanks to Silas our super guide and Jacob the great cook. Even with a budget Safari everything was great (except the masai village where I was expecting to spent more time)

The company provided in depth knowledge about parks and tour guide througn the game drive
4/5

We enjoyed the game drive and the tour guides/drivers are all very courteous. The living accommodations are generally good with couple of places exceeding my expectation. Food is also generally good. The cost is very reasonable with no hidden charges for the trip. The owner OT is very much personally involved in the planning and handling of the complete trip. The long travel in some days can be tiring. I would not hesitate recommending KenyaWalking Survivors Safaris to people interested in Safari tours in Africa.

Quick response with good service and very affordable price.
5/5

This trip to Kenya & Tanzania was fantastic, all the hotels we have stayed were excellent, all with different and new experience. And the tour operator's quick response with good service and very affordable price. The best time to Visit Massai Mara End of July and August. All other places ( Naiversha, Amboseli, Manyara & Serengeti are just average places). If someone is planning for exploring wildlife alone, the best place would be Massai Mara (3-4 Days) and if you want to explore more places then Naiversha(1day), Amboseli(1day), Ngorongoro(1day) and Serengeti(2 days) would be better option. You will have to travell a lot, so be prepared for this. Also note: older USD notes before 2004 will not be accepted in Kenya, so make sure you have USD currency printed after 2004.

Amazing Safari - Lifetime Experience - Worries? Leave it to KWSS. They will take care.
5/5

My wife Hansa and I had unbelievable amazing Safari Holiday experience. I was very much worried about food, stay and vehicle but EVERYTHING was taken care by KWSS with complete perfection. We stayed at Nakuru one day - fantastic rainy game drive with Rhinos, Lions, Zebras..., 3 days at Masai Mara - THIS WAS OUR LIFE TIME MEMORABLE EVENT. We had seen total 39 Lions with every daily activities of their life... it was so close that we could stretch our hand & just touch, Cheetas - great.... Leopard - great, Tens of Hundreds of Zebras - Tens of thousands of Wilder Beasts ....No words to express the feelings - the food - the arrangement and the game drive - never match able. Naivasha - One day, Amboseli - one day - great Lioness hunting chase, One day Arusha + Ngorongoro - Fantastic View of crater and scenic panorama. I have no words to explain as seeing can only be expressing.
All the stays were perfect. Kilimanjaro from Kibo Safari Camp was magical view
KWSS - Director: Mr. Otieno is great friend, facilitator and supporter, he is always smiling and helping hand. He is in the center of EVERY COMFORT of every visitor. He managed excellently our (change of) one day program and returning to Nairobi. ALL THE BEST Otieno:). We are your friends in India you ever need us. Great Work Keep it up!!!!
Guide+Driver : Nguta is the best. He had excellent knowledge and very active in driving and reaching the place of animal presence. He has shown us Leopard driving (fastest) 20 kms after hearing the radio. Never tired and always ON TIME ON DOT. Nguta - All the best.
I recommend 'Kenya Walking Survivors Safari Ltd' to every one who would wish to visit Safari and read my review. I will ask any one of my personal contacts and all the visitors ......."LEAVE YOUR SAFARI WORRIES TO KWSS ....& YOU ONLY ENJOY"

** UPDATE MARCH 2015
After six months of hassle, I have received a full refund of the safari trip I booked and pre-paid with Africa Flash Mc Tours last year. I cannot recommend their services, as this has caused me trouble ever since I was in Nairobi in September 2014 waiting for a safari guide that never showed up and couldn´t contact anyone from Africa Flash MC Tours (including emergency phone numbers posted on the company's website).

** UPDATE FEBRUARY 2015
I want to reiterate my review submitted in October 2014. No money has been refunded to me from Peter Njenga. I have been communicating with him for many months. He has repeatedly promised to send a refund but has not been a man of his word. Please avoid doing business with him and his company.

** ORIGINAL REVIEW
I booked a tour with Africa Flash Mc Tours for September 2014 and paid it 100% up front, $1150.

Nobody showed up to pick me up at my hotel as arranged with Peter Njenga, the phone numbers of the company and Peter were turned off and no one answered my email. I never got to go on the tour I had paid for.

I complained to the Kenyan police which is now looking into Africa Flash MC Tours and Peter Njenga. I have not received a refund from the company, I hope the police will stop him from scamming tourists coming to Kenya. Please be careful and do not deal with this company.
