Climbing Kilimanjaro with Safarihub
5/5

We booked a Kilimanjaro Climb with Safarihub at the Manchaster destinations holiday show in February this year. Priti helped us decide with the right route up the mountain and briefed us with what to expect and equipment required. The climb itself was challenging mentally, physically and emotionally but with the help of expert guides we made it to the top – An accomplishment of a life time. Karsten was super helpful during his briefing and we wish to use Safarihub again when we have saved up for a Safari.

Rather poor
2/5

Quick answer to the mails, friendly and helpful office staff. After booking and paying the contact ends, besides a voucher sent to you about 2-3 weeks before travel. At least a follow-up mail confirming flight details etc. one week before departure would be a nice move.

Pick up and transfer to ole sereni hotel worked well. However they charged me over 300 USD for that one night. On the website I found afterwards prices between 180-220 Dollars for a night. That's what I call a rip off, especially after paying a couple of thousands for a 8-day safari.

The 8-day cheetah safari: Generally confortable lodges and camps. Unfortunately the downside was our driver, he spent a lot of time on the phone taking personal calls - even during game drives!!!- very unmotivated just doing his job. Did not stop at different amazing sights like baby giraffes right next to our car. Everyone in our group was quite frustrated about this. Sometimes we had to intervene and demanded a stop. Otherwise he would have just drove by amazing photo opportunieties etc.

Take a shot while driving? Nearly impossible as our driver seamed to try escape someone - His driving was wreckless especially during the gamedrives. By far to much speed. I was lucky not to hurt myself as there where quite dangerous situations standing up in the vehicle and someone driving it like that. I almost fell a couple of times or bumped in really hard.

It certainly felt more like a formula one race rather than a game drive, and I think with this kind of driving a lot of animals heard us miles ahead.

The jeep was in quite bad conditions. One of the windows was broken, you could not open it anymore.
The windows quite dirty, never cleaned during the trip and old seats. Flat tire and breakdown aswell but not surprising.

Further our driver seemed to be really, really bored. Not many infos and a appalling attitude. Well I understand that the driver makes this safari most likely many times a year however for most of the customers it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. It's so sad if goes this way.

The somak lounge which you will be taken before and after the safari is just okay. Pre safari there was nothing on offer, just some drinks in the fridge which had to be payed for.

Upon arrival they gave us some fish and chips which was quite tasty with different sauces. Drinks at a surcharge as well. Wifi was not working, which would have been appreciated after 8 days offline.

Really nice people. I must say you get value for you money.

Seeing the big five and other animals in their natural habibat was just awesome. The safari was out of the world. Like we were shooting for Nat. Geo. Wild.

A total dissapointment! Avoid them at all costs!

I travelled around the world and I haven't found a travel agency worse than East Cape Tours. I booked with them a 4 night stay at Jackalberry Lodge, I paid 30% and I asked them to pay the difference after I would receive my visa for South Africa at the beginning of December. They spoke with The Reservation Department from Thornybush Game Reserve where Jackalberry is located and it was agreed that I will pay the difference after I have my visa issued. On November one month before leaving to SA, East Cape Tours have charged my credit card for the difference even if the agreement was to pay at the beginning of December. The bank was asking me if they should block the payment but in the end I have received the visa and I said no.
But the worst things were still to come.
3 weeks before leaving to South Africa Thornybush Reservation Department informed me that they have no availability for 4 nights at Jackalberry even if I paid in full our 4 night stay and I have received the confirmation of booking. East Cape Tours and Thornybush Reservation Department were so incompetent in dealing with me and my reservation and offered me a lower value lodge N'Kaya. I was very very dissapointed and frustrated to see that these 2 companies were trying to turn my holiday into a disaster. The accomodation that they were offering was 500 USD cheaper than Jackalberry. In the end I had to settle with N'Kaya because we had already paid the transfer to Thornybush and there was no lodge available left for the period before Christmas. I had to phone my bank 4-5 times to see if the difference was reimbursed of not, in the end the money entered my account.
I lost a lot of time speaking with East Cape Tours, with their stubborn manager Colin Diland which didn't apologize for the mess and harm done to us. i have all the emails and documents provin the harm done by these 2 companies. Anyone interested can contact me anytime. Try to stay away from East Cape Tours and Thornybush Reservation Department, otherwise your holiday can turn into a disaster!

we were impressed with Jobovic Safaris working with us on such a short notice to make our 9-day safari fit into our schedule! Each site we stayed at offered a unique and awesome experience. I would recommend Jobovic with the highest regard to anyone traveling to southern Africa. Amazing experience.

The Perfect African Safari
5/5

I have traveled with Kanyezi on two different occasions in May and November. This is a first class operation, with a very experienced father and son team who know Africa, and particularly South Africa, very well. Their lodge accomodations are superior (6 stars), with staff, meals and setting nothing short of fabulous. Their lodge is centered in areas where animal and bird sightings are unsurpassed. It is not uncommon to see the "big 5", (lion, leopard, rhino, cape buffalo and elephant) in a matter of hours. You travel in comfortable open air vehicles in areas that allow everyone great photo and viewing opportunities. Afternoon game drives are
memorable for their "sundowners" ...a happy hour out in the bush. I simply cannot say enough good things about Kanyezi African Safaris....I sounds like I must work for them, but I don't. I am just a fortunate beneficiary
of an amazing African experince.

The safari of a lifetime!!
5/5

All communication with Piet before the trip started was fast, reliable and perfect!!
Every expectation we had on the trip beforehand were beaten.
Piet and Bryce went out of their way to make our time as enjoyable as possible. They are great guys and gave us lots of informations about the places we visited and the people we met.... Soon it felt like travelling with long known friends rather than "employed travel guides".
The campgrounds we used were all perfect and we enjoyed a lot of wildlife along the way!!
We did the 10 day bush babies trip - wonderful.... One highlight was chasing the next and although there were quite a lot of kilometres to be done, Piet made it feel like it was nothing!!
We can highly recommend Jobovic.com to people who love "down-earth, true-blue and real" experiences out in the bush of Africa.
We'd love to come back and do another tour with them one day!!
A big thank you again to Piet and Bryce for the very special and perfect time we shared!!
