Best safari
5/5

We made a 2 day safari to Tsavo East. The accommodation at the Voi Safari Lodge was great. We saw a lot of animals. The Safari Provider Dicky Chikoza by KT & Safari is serious and very professional.
Thank you for a nice safari.

My first safari. They made it happen.
5/5

I am an avid traveler, I love to discover new places and see new things. It didn't take long for me to put Africa on my bucket list of places to visit with an African safari as a top priority bucket list activity. I've visited other websites and have even communicated with their employees, unfortunately, I didn't have good experiences with some of them. So upon planning my first safari, I came across Discover Africa & true to their name, they did help me discover a part of Africa. My correspondent was Karl, and I have to say that he was very efficient, I layed out the specifications for him and he quickly managed to create an itinerary for me. Things were smooth from the planning stage, to the tour itself, to the return. I had a wonderful time and I can confidently recommend Discover Africa for your first (or next) trip to Africa.

Africa is certainly a unique continent full of wonder. My first trip was a combination of two East African countries, Rwanda & Kenya. It was a great combination as there was a stark contrast between the two countries. Rwanda was a lush, green, mountainous region where farms galore. Kenya had a somewhat harsh, arid landscape. The gorillas and golden monkeys were Rwanda's flagship attraction so I didn't dare to miss the opportunity to see both. Some people opted for 2 gorilla treks as opposed to one gorilla & golden monkey trek, and I simply don't recommend that. There is beauty in both encounters & a contrast in behavior as well. The gorillas were generally more reserved and shy while the monkeys were playful and mischievous. The rules of both encounters differ as well & you had a bit more freedom with the golden monkeys. Rwandans are a very welcoming, friendly people & I lost count of how many times we got smiles, hellos and waves as we drove past them. On one occasion, a couple of cute children did a little cultural dance and song for us.

Kenya was beautiful in it's own way as well. I stayed at the Governer's Camp at the Maasai Mara & the experience was nothing short of unique. A 45 minute flight will take you away from society and into the wilderness where the camps are located. You will be greeted by gazelles, giraffes, baboons & zebras upon arrival & transferal to the camp. You will enjoy the escape from civilization, you will enjoy waking up to the grunts and roars of animals as opposed to the grunts and roars of vehicles, you will enjoy viewing the wildlife you may have seen in zoos, only this time in their natural habitat. Having breakfast while marveling at the gazelles & zebras on the horizon is an alluring experience and beats all the dinner nights I've had watching my favorite TV shows. If you get the chance, opt for some Kenyan coffee, it's a pleasure to the senses and the best I've ever tasted (and I'm not much of a coffee person).

One thing to keep in mind is that this is nature, experiences will vary from one person to the next, there are no guarantees in the wild. But I can guarantee that you will have a great overall experience. My favourite moment was witnessing the very end of a river crossing by a zeal of zebras as it rained over the Mara river. A zebra met it's end at the jaws of a crocodile. Our driver brought us closer to witness the spectacle of a bask of crocodiles engaging in a feeding frenzy like nothing I've ever seen. All of this while a rainbow arched over us. Truly awe inspiring.

Everything you expect ... and more. Highly recommend!

El Mundo Safari was our travel partner for a 12 day trip including game drives in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, school visits for our service project, cultural learning with Masaai and Hadzabe people, beach time on the Indian Ocean, and so much more. They listened to our ideas, identified our needs, and did so much work before we arrived to make sure our experience would be amazing. Elvis and his crew go the extra mile to ensure all their guests have the trip of a lifetime. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend the 11 day safari in South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe.... it gives you a good snapshot of africa and the game in the countries. Very exciting and the drivers and guides were very informative.

Best Masai Mara Safari

Best Masai Mara Safari Experience
We did a seven days Safari with Suricata Safaris and it was one of the most memorable experiences ever. We drove North to camp at Lobo so we could see the Migration of the Wildebeest. It was a long drive but it was worth every moment. We drove through the Ngorogora Crater, the Serengeti, and what was most amazing was what we saw on our way to Masai Mara. It was like driving through a scene in a Discovery documentary. We saw all sorts of animals and games, we were also fortunate to see some prey huntings and much more. The scenery is breathtaking further North, it was absolutely unexpected and we couldn't have asked for a better Safari experience. We saw all Big Five, we were lucky enough to see three Rhinos not too far from us, all thanks to the spotting eyes of our driver, Ezekiel. He is a very experienced driver as the road to the North is quite tricky, but he managed to navigate it with ease while still spotting animals for us to take photos of. We were comfortable with Hilary from the get go, he made us feel welcomed and we had no issues with him. he even invited us to free dinner upon our departure. We highly recommend Suricata Safaris as they have exceeded our expectation in many ways. The value was well worth it and it was incredible to know we didn't need to break the bank to do a safari

Fantastic safari experience
5/5

We went on a camping safari with Suricata safaris in September. We had a fantastic experience. Firstly I managed to book the wrong date and arrived a day later, the guys at Suricata were extremely accommodating and managed to fit us onto another tour. Mandela and Salem went with us on safari. Mandela is a fantastic tour guide. He knows everything!! He answered all of our questions and is a very nice cool guy! Salem is an excellent chef, we enjoyed all of the brilliant meals he prepared for us and we never went hungry. I definitely enjoyed the camping experience. Suricata is a fantastic new company that cannot be bet on price

First class from start to finish....
5/5

Having decided to go on our first safari in tandem with exploring some areas of Africa I contacted the luxury safari company after doing some research into providers. From the outset Rose was able to share her knowledge and experience of various countries to enable us to plan our trip from a far more informed point of view
We wanted to go whale watching in South Africa and visit Cape Town staying at the Silo Hotel, followed by safari and finishing at Victoria falls.
Rose made herself available from both the UK and Africa to answer my many questions and look at various options
After a number of tweaks the final itinerary delivered everything we had wanted and on our return we can say the whole experience has exceeded our expectations
Our hotels and safari lodges were outstanding throughout - everything has been taken care of for us, the rooms, guides, drivers, food and drinks have all been excellent.
We have watched whales in Hermanus, enjoyed Cape Town - Table Mountain, the beautiful wine lands and tours of the area. Safari in Botswana has taken us to the Okavango delta, Linyanti and the Makgadikgadi desert where we have seen a huge range of wonderful wildlife and different landscapes along with sleeping in the wild under a canopy of stars
Finishing at Victoria falls gave us a chance to slow down and enjoy the serene beauty of this natural wonder topped off with a great helicopter flight to view the whole area
All of our flights, transfers, hotels and tours were impeccably managed with a person waiting to greet us at every point.
We will certainly use Rose and the LSC next time we visit Africa.

Fantastic experience from start to finish.
5/5

I booked a surprise honeymoon and the team were discreet and helpful throughout the whole process, recommending the perfect lodges for the most romantic time away. As a couple of photographers, the trip was geared towards the best opportunities for snapping, whilst also taking into account the desire to be remote and quiet, away from the motorway of the Masai Mara at peak season.

Surprise candlelit dinners were a real highlight.
