Great staff who will ensure you get the most out of your trip to Tanzania.
We chose Kilidove tours to for our three week honeymoon in Tanzania and had a wonderful experience.
We booked our trip just 2 months in advance but the staff at Kilidove ensured we could still climb Kilimanjaro, enjoy adventure on Safari and relax in Zanzibar. Before we arrived we kept in close contact with George who was quick to arrange an itinerary matching our needs and happy to adjust it at our request.
Our guides, chef and porters for Kilimanjaro were excellent. Peter the chef and Emmanuel the waiter ensured we ate well and encouraged us to fight on when nausea and headaches got the better of us. The guides Paul and Deo were positive, motivating and demonstrated their expertise throughout our climb which ensured we made it to the summit.
The safari trip was amazing. There are never any guarantees on what you will see on your trip, but our guide Baraka worked hard to show us all the wonders of the Serengeti and surrounding national parks. With his keen eye and good rapport with other guides we were able to see a cheetah, 3 leopards, 5 rhinos, prides of lions as well as many herds of wild animals in plain sight. It couldn't have been better.
The hotels throughout were wonderful and varied. We stayed in eco lodges, luxury hotels as well as safari camps where we were serenaded at dinner. Of course every trip has a few mishaps, but Kilidove staff were quick to respond and sort out any problems that arose.
With our final trip to Zanzibar, we arranged our own hotels due to timing, but George stayed in touch and offered advice to ensure the rest of our trip went off without a hitch. It was the perfect way to end our adventure.
The Kilidove staff are friendly, efficient and all demonstrate great expertise in their field. We'd recommend Kilidove to any traveller, honeymooner or family.

My new most favourite place in the world!
We went to Botswana with no expectations whatsoever, only knowing that the safari at Chobe could be a good experience. It turned out to be one of the most amazing trips we have ever done. The park, the nature, the animals - everything was juts spectacular. We camp in Chobe for 3 days and LT (our guide) was so knowledgeable of the park that it made the visit so much better. The hospitality was great and we are definitely looking forward visiting Botswana again!!

This is a very lush area with lagoons, swamps, alluvial islands, marshes, flood plains, riparian forests and lush inland forests. Hippos and elephants rule the area. Lots of birds of all kind.
Roundtrip in Zimbabwe, perfectly organized by The Safari Source
Monika Korn of The Safari Source had been recommended to me by a friend. Hence I asked her to organize and book for my family of four a roundtrip of two weeks through Zimbabwe. Great Zimbabwe, Matobos, Hwange, Vic Falls and Mana Pools. Coming from Switzerland, we had to count on Monika's programme and bookings. Everything was perfect! Monika offers very personalized pre-trip counsel and she is always available for last minute changes. The partners of The Safari Source (hotels, lodges, camps) were excellent as well. The blooming desert filled with wildlife
The Central Kalahari Game Reserve is an incredible safari destination during the emerald season (rainy season), when the desert provides lots of vegetation due to the frequent daily thunderstorms. It really is much more of a semi-arid area than a desert, with expansive grasslands and savannah, in which the wildlife roams, hides and hunts. The scenery is breathtaking, the wildlife abundant. I had a particular interest in birds during my trip to Botswana and knew that many migratory birds escaping the cold European winter can be found in sub-saharan Africa. I was absolutely astounded by the numbers of Storks of various kinds in the Kalahari Game Reserve. Hundreds of them were flying high up in the air in kettle formation, or satiating themselves in the grassland and water holes. The amount of mammal species was great as well and their behavior wonderful to observe from the Land Cruiser. Since there is more vegetation during the emerald (rainy, summer) season, the wildlife might be a little more difficult to spot than during Botswana's winter. But a good guide can make up for that and enable you to observe some very interesting hunting and eating behavior.
The scenery was beautiful due to the vegetation and blooms. We experienced rain in the afternoon once in four days, but I understand that it can rain daily. Since our Land Cruisers had a sun/rain roof and very comfortable ponchos, we really were not affected at all by the rain. The temperature was very hot during the middle of the day, but all game drives took place either early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The hottest time was siesta time at camp. In the Central Kalahari Game Reserve night drives are not permitted and all vehicles have to be back at camp when it gets dark.
We stayed at the Kalahari Plains Camp, which was a nice basic camp with really delicious food. The "tents" were clean and comfortable, the shower only salt water, with one fresh water faucet at the bathroom sink.
The Central Kalahari Game Reserve was our first of three camps in Botswana, and definitely a great introduction to the country.

The safari was magical seeing the animals in their natural habitat was breath taking.
The safari was 10/10 our driver was fantastic very accommodating. We saw all the main animals it was breath taking. I would definitely recommend upgrading the accommodation we didn’t have electricity apart from 1 hour of the day and the food was a buffet left out for a few hours. Definitely check what you are offered as you can change! Everyone’s package is completely different.
An authentic safari experience
This is the place to go for an authentic safari experience. The park is huge and the wildlife abundant but the number of other vehicles very minimal. As a result, on numerous occasions we found animals in the wild such as lions and elephants and were the only vehicle present. This is a big contrast to stories we have heard of 10-15 cars for each viewing in the more well known game parks in Kenya and Tanzania. Our trip was also much better value than the larger parks. Would recommend to all.

Quite simply the best holiday we have ever had
We chose Afroriginal Tours from a number of operators having read and compared numerous reviews of the different companies and because of their swift and professional response to our initial enquiries.
We had been planning this holiday for many months and received great advice from Desiree on planning the safari and also the the holiday in Zanzibar at the end.
She was excellent in terms of answering our queries very quickly and also organised absolutely everything for us. She made everything so easy and it was a pleasure to meet her at the beginning of the trip.
Our guide Stewart was excellent and his knowledge of animals and birds as well as his spotting ability made this an unforgettable experience. We truly enjoyed his company.
We spent a full week on safari and stayed in various places all part of the Tanganyika Wilderness Camps. Every single place we stayed in was perfect from the Maramboi Camp,Tloma Lodge,Kati Kati Camp and finally Kitala Lodge. I would recommend these places to anyone.
