The best!
5/5

In January 2025, we went on a 5-day safari with Great Escape. And we also climbed an active volcano!

Let’s go step by step. Before this trip, we knew almost nothing about Africa and Tanzania. The idea to visit this country came to us spontaneously. We did some research online, read reviews on different companies, and made our choice. And it turned out to be the best decision!

We contacted the company via email, and Thomas responded to us. He patiently and warmly answered our hundred questions – from selecting the right itinerary to what clothes we should take for the volcano hike. At the appointed hour driver was waiting for us in Arusha with a sign, and our adventure began!

From the very beginning, we were given a fixed price for the tour, and it didn’t change by a single cent. We were provided with everything – food, accommodation, transfers – and our driver was always there to help and answer any questions.

We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ndutu, the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Lake Natron.
It was simply an incredible experience!

We had never imagined we could see animals THIS close and in such huge numbers. This isn’t a zoo, you’re not looking at animals through glass or binoculars – you’re right next to them. Gazelles and zebras run away when you approach, but lions and cheetahs don’t. We watched predators just a few meters away, and they didn’t even care about us.

As for herbivores – there are thousands of them in the savannah: zebras, gazelles, wildebeest, giraffes – no need to search for them, they are everywhere. Serengeti impressed us the most – if you’re going to Tanzania, don’t even think about skipping it!

The drivers are amazing! They communicate with each other via radio and share information about animal sightings. You can tell they are truly passionate about their work and want every tourist to have the best experience.

Speaking of drivers, we have to give a special mention to ours. We spent all these days with Denis – a master at spotting animals in the vast national parks!

But a driver’s job doesn’t end there.

Denis took care of us, making sure we got everywhere on time, ate well, slept well, used the bathroom when needed, and, of course, didn’t get eaten by a lion. 😅

Super reliable, super fun, easygoing, attentive, and caring. He shared interesting facts, sang along with his awesome playlist of modern local artists, wore the most stylish boots, and said his main goal was to make sure we ate a lot and slept well.

Over these days, Denis became our friend, and we already miss him!

The accommodations in all the selected lodges were simply amazing. We didn’t choose them ourselves but fully trusted Thomas’s recommendations.

Everywhere was cozy, warm, delicious, and friendly.

The tented camps in the national parks were just incredible! Unbelievable comfort in the middle of the savannah. There was hot water, electricity, internet, and large comfortable beds. Yes, sometimes the internet only worked at the reception, and the hot water came in a thin stream, but honestly, those were just small details. You could feel that the staff genuinely cared about their guests.

The volcano hike also went great. We had a guide who accompanied us to the summit and back. Huge thanks to him – everything went smoothly.

So, what about safety?

No issues at all. The entire trip was in a car and at well-secured locations. The people were friendly, always ready to help, and treated tourists with great care.

The trip exceeded our expectations in every way. Like many others, we had some skepticism about Africa, and some of our relatives even said goodbye to us “forever,” convinced that we’d either be sold into slavery or sacrificed to some local god. 😅

But in the end, Tanzania turned out to be welcoming, safe, and incredibly beautiful.

A huge thank you to everyone who made our journey so amazing.

The only regret we have is that we didn’t stay longer!

We hope to come back someday😊

Absolutely Wonderful!
5/5

We spent 4 days in Uganda at the end of January and Ameera Africa Safaris made it unforgettable!
Innocent, our driver/guide is a great person to spend time with, driving us 10hrs to and from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. He was knowledgeable about Uganda and gave us a lot of information about the country and its wildlife. Gorilla trekking was an incredible experience and hope to do it again someday. Our accommodations at Papyrus Guest House in Entebbe, and Buhoma Gorilla Camp in Bwindi were amazing. We highly recommend Ameera Africa Safaris to anyone interested in travelling to Uganda!

Want to say big thanks for Charles and his team, for great assist during our summit to Kilimanjaro. All team: porters, waiters, cooks and especially guides. Team is professional and very friendly.
Safari was amazing! Driver guide show all hidden animals, so you feel as a hero of “wild animal” tv show.
Organization of all stay was made with best comfort for us. Hotels chosen with love for the client. All our trip stated from meeting in airport, transfer, accommodations, Kilimanjaro tracking and successful summit, we just trust to Charles and he didn’t let us down in our expectations!

It was a very rewarding and fantastic tour with Horizon Gest Safaris. Everything was extremely well organised, and both drivers/guides, are very knowledgeable, communicative, professional and above all, very friendly and nice. Grace made the whole trip even more pleasant. It was a wonderful travel, and for sure I will get in contact with Horizon Gest Safaris again the next time I will travel to Eastern Africa. Thanks!

Lovely adventure!
5/5

I really enjoyed my 4 day safari. I had a great experience with the Inspired Feet staff including the drivers (Thanks, Kamanda!). I had the chance to explore Nairobi for one day before heading on my safari. My safari guide, Eric, was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was great to have him. My accommodation was also great as well as the food. Even though I did not do the evening game drive, I got to explore the Rhino camp and nearby village with the staff there. I went alone but I never felt lonely.

In Masai Mara we got to see so many baby animals including lions, elephants, and zebras. We also got to see cheetahs, hyenas, dik dik, buffalos, and other animals. In Nakuru we also had the chance to see rhinos as well. I truly enjoyed the boat ride and Crescent Island walk in Naivasha. That was a truly amazing experience being able to walk alongside all the animals on the island.

Even though I didn't get my safari hat until the end of the trip, the company truly did their best to accommodate that mishap and helped me get to the airport in a timely manner so I wouldn't be late.

10/10 would recommend!

Super
5/5

This is a great agency with super professional personnel who are very nice and friendly.
They have the best drivers and hotels!
When I bought the Safari tour in their office in Nairobi, one of their personnel even walked me to the starting point, even though they could have shown me the location on the map.
The driver was very careful while driving on a long trip from Nairobi to Masai Mara and was responsive to every person.
During the Safari, the driver was never reluctant to make extra passes to show all places, animals, scenes, etc. Every time, he approached the animals as close as he could to provide the best photos and to create an unforgettable experience!
The accommodation was very comfortable, with delicious food and service.
Finally, all services provided cost me a very reasonable price!
The best luck was that this agency appeared in my way when I was choosing which company to buy a Safari tour from!
Highly recommend them

The best experience possible
5/5

Everything went smoothly since the moment I asked for a quote on the website. Barack responded almost immediately and his emails were always very sincere. I asked a lot of question about the tour and payment and everything was explained to my satisfaction... sometimes even before I managed to ask.

My trip to Akagera National Park started exactly on time, as we agreed. I was picked up at my hotel in Kigali and I enjoyed the drive to the park with a stop for breakfast at the nice lodge. My guides Lydia and Gerard (I am very sorry if I messed up your name) even taught me a few words in kinyarwanda, and I do remember them until today, so they have really done a wonderful job. The morning was rainy, but the weather was gradually improving and we managed to see a lot... lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, a lot of antilpes and monkeys. We crossed the whole park from the south to the north and back. I am really glad I also joined the boat trip where we have seen hippos, crocodiles and hundreds of bird species. We had a great conversation during the day and I have learned a lot about animals and Rwanda. On the way back to Kigali they were so nice, that we stop at couple of stores for me to buy coffee.

This was definitely one of the best experiences I ever had. Rwanda is really worth a visit and the people there are soooo nice. I strongly recommend Expedition Rwindi Voyage, the whole team is very professional and lovely.

Murakoze Lydia, Gerard, Barack and the whole team
