Epic Adventure on Kilimanjaro with Justin as a guide and His Incredible Team
5/5

If you're dreaming of conquering Kilimanjaro, look no further than Zanzi Trekking and Safaris, with Justin as a guide and his exceptional team! My recent trek was nothing short of extraordinary, filled with breathtaking views, challenging hikes, and unforgettable camaraderie.
From the moment we met Justin, it was clear we were in the best hands. His passion for the mountain and deep knowledge of the terrain shone through every briefing and step we took. Justin's infectious enthusiasm kept our spirits high, even when the altitude challenged us.
The team was phenomenal. Every guide, porter, and cook contributed to making this journey special. Their support, encouragement, and seamless teamwork were inspiring. The food was incredible too, how they managed to create such delicious meals on the mountain remains a mystery!🤤
Each day brought new landscapes and adventures. From the lush rainforests to the stark beauty of the alpine desert, the ever-changing scenery kept us captivated. Summit night was the ultimate test of endurance and willpower. But with Justin's guidance and the team's unwavering support, we reached Uhuru Peak at sunrise, a moment of pure triumph and awe.🗻💓
If you're looking for the best Kilimanjaro experience, Justin and his team are unparalleled. Their expertise, dedication, and genuine care turned a challenging trek into an epic adventure. Highly recommend this incredible team for anyone ready to take on the Roof of Africa!🇹🇿😉

Avoid the company, they are fraudsters and liars
1/5

We were cheated by that company by around 2.400 USD.
We have fixed a ten days safari with them and paid all money that was agreed onin advance by international bank transfer.
We arrived at the 29.07. 2024 very early in the morning
It was agreed upon that we should be picked up at the airport but nobody was around. All the other tourists were warmly welcomed by their safari companies. We then called the K hotels where we were supposed to spend the rest of the night and the next night before the safari.
The problems already started there because KHotel wanted us to pay extra money for the early check in although it was fixed in the contract that the accommodation before and after our trip should be paid by
AZAS, which they did not do, even the night before our departure and the trip to the airport we had to pay by ourselves.
During the trip there were a lot of irregularities that should be communicated.
From the 31.08.- 03.08. 2024 it was fixed in the programme that we should spend 3 nights at Mweya safari lodge based on full board.
When we arrived at the Mweya safari lodge the manager,
Mr Brian Maher, told us that the lodge was booked by AZAS but unfortunately not paid yet.
Staying at this lodge was a compromise Azas agreed upon before we started the trip.
The former set up contract says that we should have been accommodated at the Karambuya Gorge lodge which the did not book fast enough, so the prices went skyhigh and they could not deliver that lodge.
After that frustration and some whatsapp traffic Simon, the head of Azas, told us that the payment unfortunately bounced back to their account and he did not know what the issue was, he then requested us to pay the lodge by credit card and by arrival from the trip he assured me to give back the money, 1.856 USD at the KHotel in USD cash, before we would check in.
So finally we did the payment and when arriving at the KHotel nobody was there to give us back the promised money.

When checking in the last two nights at KHotels we heard that he did not pay for the last night either which cost us another 310 USD. + airport transfer.
He also did not pay for the trip of the top of the Murchisson falls which was agreed upon in the programme.

To make it short Azas is absolutely unreliable.
They are big pretenders that do not deliver what is fixed in the set up contract.
To make it short AZAS is absolutely unreliable. They are perfect cheaters who want to make a fool of their clients.
Avoid them!
I can prove everything that I have written, the facts are overwhelming!

Azas Safari Uganda SCAM
My husband and I are in Africa on our honeymoon. We booked a 3 day Azas Safari to see the Mountain Gorillas at $4180USD. Our trip included return flights from Entebbe to Kihihi, accomodation at Mahogany Spring Lodge, Gorilla Permits, guide, meals and park entrances. We arrived in Entebbe and stayed at the recommended hotel, we were in constant contact and communication with Azas the entire time however they began to get less and less responsive on sharing required details around flights, permits etc. We were told, by Azas, to go to the Aerolink office at Entebbe where we found out we were never booked on flights and had to pay for our own return flights $895USD. Azas, still in communication with us via WhatsApp, assured us the permits were sorted so we proceeded to purchase the flights and flew to Kihihi. We were met by a guide who took us to our accommodation where we found out that no permits had been secured. After speaking with anyone and everyone that we possibly could to rectify the situation we then had to purchase the permits ourselves $1600USD.

Azas are awful human beings who have scammed and completely ripped us off and continued to string us along.

We have reported them to the Ugandan police and tourism authority.

About: Kenya
Kenya - a great safari experience, scenery, wildlife, people, - get off the beaten track
Overall rating
5/5

Kenya had changed a great deal when we returned after a 25 year gap. We heard that Masai Mara and Ambosili have become very crowded, so instead we headed north of Nairobi to the hills around Nyeri. It proved to be a fantastic choice. We stayed in a new lodge called Rhino Watch and they arranged the two week safari of our choice. All the staff are local Kenyans and they really know what they are doing. The lodge is owned by a German guy who arranges photo and film shoots, so he knows all the best places to go. He is married to a Kenyan lady and her family run the lodge and drive the cars. There were just 4 of us travelling in a 4 wheel drive with an expert guide and driver called Moses. We stayed in a luxury tent with all mod cons. Aberdare National Park has fantastic lush green scenery, great views of elephants, buffalo, monkeys and sometimes leopards, and we never saw another car. Solio Game Reserve has more white rhinos than I have ever seen before, hundreds and hundreds, and we saw lions and a leopard, and Ol Pejeta Game Reserve turned out to be fantastic for Lions, Giraffes and Cheetahs and more Elephants. These game reserves are all nearby and uncrowded. We also went on a walk with giraffes. It could be pretty cold up there in the mornings and evenings. The food in Rhino Watch was amazing, freshly cooked for us on our return and huge amounts. Another highlight was staying on Lake Baringo at Roberts Camp, where hippos come out of the water at night and sleep right by the huts. This was a great area for birds, with thousands of flamingos on Lake Begoria. Nakuru Game Park was much more crowded, but we got incredibly close to lions there - one group was asleep in a tree near the road, and another group were asleep under the picnic tables. We had these lions to ourselves. We also got a good view of a hippo in the lake with pelicans and flamingos. The weather was warmer once we left the highlands. In Nairobi we visted the Giraffe Centre where you can stroke wild giraffes, and Sheldricks Elephant Orphanage, which rescues baby elephants. Both well worth a visit. We were so impressed by this trip that we have booked to go back again next year. A small, intimate safari experience - comfortable but not luxurious, with the emphasis on hours and hours of game viewing. Ideal for photographers and real wildlife enthusiasts, not so good for people wanting a "holiday". We were usually up and out by 6.30am and not back until 7pm or later. We also had a lot of interraction with the local community, and I took a suitcase full of clothes out to an orphanage where we went and met the kids.

Kruger is a known park for a reason, a great wild life, but every thing is coming with a price.

5/5

Kruger National Park have a great wildlife range and the place is huge, the animals in this place have a lot of freedom because it's so big and while you travel there you don't see any parts of the fence which give you a better touch of nature. If you go off the paved roads you will have much better feelings of nature and unlike other parks you will not need 4X4 to enjoy this version of nature.

In Kruger you can see a lot of animals and better chance for the great golden animal, the Lion, when I came into the park the first time after 10 minuets I saw 3 Lions together. Very nice in Kruger is the shelters for people to watch birds and other "little" animals including Hippopotamus.

The main problem in Kruger because the famous of the park and because the great things in this park is that if you see something spectacular normally you will find your self with another couple of cars around you. And as much as you go north there is less cars if you want to get a way from them.

If I look overall on my visits in Kruger park I don't think the problem with the other people is a very big deal because you get a lot there.

Discover Kenya,Tanzania and Zanzibar together with local people
5/5

We travelled through Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar with "Kenya Walking". They are wonderful countries, to get to know them with expert local guides from Kenya Walking is a unique experience, they were very kind and succeeded in letting us see all the big five!Arrangements were almost perfect, we had a budget and they managed to mix budget (but nevertheless fascinating) with luxury lodges and hotels. Our group was 2 adults and 2 teens, we had 2 (two!) guides always with us, ready to accomplish our every wish, they even cooked for us typical meals!I would strongly recommend a travel with Kenya Walking!

Truely a trip of a lifetime!
5/5

My son and I travelled with EASTCO through out Tanzania for 3 weeks. We visited the big name parks such as Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara and Tarangire and the lesser visited Arusha national park The highlights included the accommodation at Naitolia and Ol Tukia, and the tented accommodation on the Serengeti. We travelled with our guide James telling us all we needed to know and showing us his country in a personal and exciting way. We visited Babati and met the locals, seeing the rock art at Kolo and taking a ride in a dugout canoe on the lake. We saw more animals than we thought possible and many times we were the only vehicle in sight. Some of the most memorable were the lions devouring a warthog next to our vehicle on the Serengeti, the night drive at Naitolia and the beautiful colobus monkeys in Arusha national park. The masaai people were great, ready to share their lives with us giving us an insight into an ancient culture.
I would not hesitate to recommend EASTCO, they delivered all that they promised and more, we did some things that were not in the usual safari plan andthey did not hesitate to suggest things that they thought we would enjoy. They also organised the 3 days in Zanzibar for us and it was excellent. All in all an excellent trip, good food, good accommodation, good guide and good friends. We will be back to get them to organise a trip to Bwindi and more of the Serengeti!

Strongly recommended... friendly, open, honest would return next week
5/5

The guys were great. Simon has been fantastic on the email and we couldn't say a bad word about our guide Ezi (Ezekiel), who's patience and knowledge paid gave us the opportunity to see more than we would have otherwise. Its a trip we're continually rememissing about. We too went to the Crater, Serengiti and Boundry Hill. With the exception of the warm beers we coudn't off asked for more. The hospitatlity we were given at each of the camps (much different to the camping Aussie style) was endless. We felt and were made to feel like royalty. We have never stayed anywhere as lovely, and expected anywhere as nice as on the trip.

What remains in our mind as one of the highlights (and there were heaps) was on the first afternoon, we went for a walk with a Masai ranger above the crater where we walked a few metres from Giraffes... If that wasn't enough!!!

We had lions and lionesses walking in amongst the trucks, like we weren't even there, saw a lioness take down a couple of zebra, saw millions of zebras, to Ezi's amusement at my initial cry out. We did have a moment of apprehnsion through the drive from the Crater to Serengiti, where the road was rough, the land desoloute. I think we both had a time we wondered if we should or could have stayed at the crater but were pleasantly surprised by the pockets of natural beauty that Serengiti gave us. Its amazing that I even contemplated and feared that we wouldn't see enough or see any lions!!! we saw countless!!

Even as we left and just as we were both seated (for the first time in days) on the way out three Cheetahs just cruised on by sitting on a rock within five metres from where we had parked... At Boundry hill we were woken to Elephants roaring, guided through the park by gorgeous Masai that walked us through the country giving us a wealth of knowledge.

If we could offer one suggestion it would be, offering the guys a fridge or solar panels (more) at Boundry Hill. The lodge was outstanding and Joseph who was gorgeous ran a beautiful place. The poor guy had to put up with us beer drinking Aussie's... Thankyou guys, and sorry this has been ages in the making... I know Julie and Jim are looking forward to returning with you guys next year...

We couldn't have asked for more...

Unique experience with the amazing wildlife, scenery and interacting with the local people
5/5

Communications were very prompt and good, price was reasonable. The tour itself was amazing; the scenery, wildlife and the remoteness and uniqueness of some of the campsites contributed to this. However the best thing about the company was the staff in the field- they were very knowledgeable, friendly and prepared to do their utmost to ensure that your experience was the best you could possibly have. Cosmos the driver/guide and Paul the chef were excellent examples of this.
