Unforgettable Experience
5/5

Our honeymoon was in Tanzania in November 2013. It was split into beaches at Zanzibar and Safari in Tanzania mainland…The safari part was organized by Shadows of Africa and it was beyond amazing. Natasha, owner of Shadows of Africa, has provided us with excellent and prompt support at all stages whether at preparation or during our stay. Also, she helped us with great advices, tips and some arrangements for our other part of stay in Zanzibar, although it was not related to her offer.
It was a 4 days Safari, exploring Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro crater. We have booked Medium accommodation and venues were all perfect, clean and at nice locations with great views. Having at least one night in a tented camp is an experience that we shall not forget and shall not be missed :) Our driver and guide was friendly, attentive and punctual; and we have almost managed to see the big five (the rhino was a bit far away :)). The weather was excellent, however, it was almost end of dry season, so big part of lake manyara was dry and lands were of much less greenery, however, it was still rich of wildlife and we enjoyed our time.
This was ana experience beyond expectations…If you are into wildlife and considering going over there, there is no room for hesitation, just book now :D

Awesome Adventure
5/5

As a "last hurrah" family vacation with our University attending children we selected a safari with Gametrackers. It was what we hoped for and more. We saw a tremendous range and quantity of wildlife. It became quite a game to spot the next animal. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and personable. He made sure we saw all the highlights. Our accomodations and meals were excellent. My husband and I had been on safari 22 years ago so our expectations were low. We were very pleasantly surprised by the top quality lodges and wide variety of food available. We were very well looked after. Thank you Gametrackers!

Welcoming the New Year in Kenya!
5/5

From the warm welcome at the airport in Nairobi, the Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris representatives have been amazing and very professional. The food was delicious, the camp fire was amazing.
The Masai Mara was amazing from the moment we arrive to the time we left. We saw a huge amount of wild life, including lions, cheetah, elephants, giraffe, hippo, and more. The wide open plains provided great opportunity to see the animals as well as the most brilliant sun rises and sun sets. Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris staff is a great company with reasonable price options and the staff was excellent and make the stay with them memorable, leaving you wanting to return in the future. The food was great. Our kids (3) enjoyed this unique experience. After all, it was worth the bumpy ride. We highly recommend this company.

Personal service, quick responses and excellent and experienced guide and driver
5/5

From the first moment we contacted Ajabu we were happy with the quick and personal responses from Judith, the owner of the company. She answered all our questions, and suggested a programm that suited our wishes very well. Judith was very flexible in adjusting the programm when we asked for that. We planned a 6 days trip to Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Lake Manyara. Besides that we made a day trip to Embakaai crater where we descended to the crater lake by foot accompanied by an armed guide. A very beautiful experience away from the beaten tracks and other tourists. A good way to stretch our legs as well. Jumah, our driver and guide, was very experienced in spotting the wildlife. He has excellent knowledge of the animals, their names and background information, and about Tanzania as a whole. He was very patient, always trying to give us a new experience or a better point of view. And besides that, a very pleasant person to travel around with for 6 days. We stayed away from the 'crowds' as much as possible, which gave us the possibility to fully experience the beauty and abundance of nature and its wildlife. We saw so many animals without rushing from one place to the other. Most of the time we stayed in luxury tented camps. For us a wonderful way to experience Tanzania. Closer to nature and still all facilities and a good bed. The staff in the camps was very friendly and gave good service. The 4 wheel drive was very comfortable and spacious. Enough room for all people (4) to stand at the same time and have good views in all directions. Ajabu gave us an experience that was better than we expected! Special thanks to Jumah!

Everything is done to living up to your expectations. It's an honour to do bussiness with Roho Ya Chui. Ute made our reservation for Londolozi and everything exceeded our expectations. We will definitely go again. Just as I was told everybody at Londolozi made our stay never to forget.

Family on Kruger Safari
5/5

Wildlife Safaris is a excellent Safari Tour Operator. From the very first contact with Christine (about 1 year prior to our travel),I sensed the highest degree of proffessionalism, excellence and competence. My immediate sense was that Wildlife Safaris wanted to make our experience to Kruger Park for our family of seven with 2 children, so memorable and enjoyable. It turned out to be exactly that. The communiication is excellent, the service is of the highest degree. We could not have had a better guide than Hoppy. He is simply so good. We enjoyed him immensely, especially my 2 grandchildren aged 9 & 12. Christine planned a 4 day safari for our family that surpassed our expectations. It was just about planned to perfection. We will not forget the fantastic game drives, delicious food and the vast experience of our guide Hoppy. This was very good value for our money. Wildlife Safaris is highly recommended.

Best Operator I have worked with to date
5/5

From planning to execution Base Camp was excellent. Achmed respond timely and was an excellent source to assist us with planning. He corrected an issue when one of our lodges went into renovation just before we came. He upgraded us at no charge and assisted my in-laws with a day room before their flight back to the states. He is an extremely personable man that you must meet! We are planning a new trip with him in 2016.

Fabulous photography course in Botswana
5/5

I cannot recommend Pangolin Photo Safaris highly enough. I have done various courses over the years, but not only does it make so much more sense doing the course on location, (rather than in a classroom), Guts is a simply fabulous teacher and didn't over complicate things. He explained everything in a very clear way and this is the first time that I can honestly say that I've learnt how to use my camera on manual and one month on. I can still remember! The location in Chobe is superb as you get into the National Park before everyone else and the game viewing is superb, not to mention the birdlife. The boat is fully kitted out and perfect for swinging your camera around 360 degrees, plus the unimog is great, being up high, with various places to put your camera. I am simply thrilled with my photographs and can't wait to go back and do another course. This is one of the best courses that I have done in a long time!

Sad ending of a dreamed safari
2/5

After lots of research we contacted Simon King at Eastco and were very pleased with the tour that he designed for us - although the level of communication (answering our questions, etc,) dropped dramatically once we had paid. The price for the tour was to include all expenses for transportation, food and lodging within Tanzania and admission to the parks and reserves selected. Our initial flight from Dar to Mwanza went smoothly, but our first problem occurred when nobody met us at Mwanza as arranged: effectively we lost half a day before arrangements were evidently cobbled together to get us to our first stop, where our drivers met us the next morning. The next problem occurred when without previous notice, our lodging was changed from Serengeti to tents at a mountain site closer to Ngorongoro - obviously an improvised solution, as we were unprepared for such a cold site and the camp had been hastily set up the day before, and there were insufficient blankets the first two nights; also, the isolation of the site required a long 2 and 1/2 hour drive over a bumpy dirt road to get to and from Serengeti for the additional two days planned there. This way it was impossible to get there early in the morning and we lost many hours in the Serengeti, one of our priorities. Things got worse when we got to Tarangire National Park and there was no money in the debit cards the guides had to pay entrances, and we stayed for three hours at the entrance trying to communicate with the company via email and phone, only after we called the Tourist Board did they contact us and told us to pay the entrance assuring they would reimburse us the following day (today 15 days later still no refund). That night when we got to beautiful Boundary Hill we where surprised with a New Year's dinner of only rice, there where no provisions or drinks (not even water) in the lodge. After the same experience in Arusha National Park (we were stuck at the entrance with no money in the card to pay and this time only one car for the group of eight since Mr. King decided to change guides and failed to replace wonderful Edward on time.) At this point, we decided to pay a visit to him at his "office" in Arusha and refused to leave until we reached an agreement. We ended up paying the entrance to this park as well. Faced with the risk of being stranded without funds for entering parks, etc. during the remainder of our tour, we came to a compromise agreement with Mr, King: much against our will, we abandoned the remainder of our planned itinerary and instead would go to Zanzibar (which would be cheaper than completing the tour as planned) and that Mr. King would refund the entrance fees we had had to pay, the difference in cost between Zanzibar and our planned itinerary and would compensate us for the more than three days lost. This all adds up to several thousand dollars, of which we have not received a penny so far. Perhaps the most irritating and frustrating aspect of this was the difficulty in communicating with Mr. King, and the fact that he offered different versions of the situation virtually every tome we were in contact with him

An amazing safari experience
5/5

Charles and his team are fantastic. I have been on safaris with other companies, but none compare to Tanganyika Ancient Routes. Everyone is very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The vehicles are comfortable and reliable and the accommodations are as luxurious as you wish. Most importantly, they seem to know all the other drivers and guides which means that they always know where the animals are. So, you can spend more time viewing the amazing game and less time bouncing around searching for them! I will definitely be back and highly recommend them to all my friends.
