Excellent First Experience in the Wilderness
5/5

I felt like I had arrived home from the moment I walked into our camp. I got to know the locals and feel welcome. We watched the wildebeest crossing and saw an abundance of animal and bird activity on our drives. The game drives were brilliant with very friendly and knowledgeable guide.
I do hope I get to return!

Unethical company during pandemic
1/5

We booked this company as a trip of a lifetime. Due to the pandemic Kanyezi cancelled our trip and refused to return our deposit. Chris the owner claimed that he had distributed our deposits to various tour subcontractors and that they were all teetering on bankruptcy without showing us any proof. They all seem to be still in business and are still taking deposits for future bookings. He claimed he had no second party insurance with the various hotels, lodges, guides etc. and that we should make a claim to our own insurance company. He then refused to provide a simple standardized invoice noting the trip cancellation making the insurance claim much more difficult. He also said if we booked a future trip we would have to give another deposit instead of using our funds he already had in his hands. Why would anyone do this? Avoid Kanyezi like the plague. They are not honest business people.

Fantastic Experience
5/5

We had an amazing experience in Amboseli National Park. It is a beautiful park with the amazing view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. We went specifically to photograph Elephants with the Mt. Kilimanjaro backdrop. Having said that we got Lions in Amboseli also and we saw a huge pride of lions right from the lodge dining area. Food was great buffet style. Everyone was friendly and ready to help and it was the perfect place to come back and relax after hours of game drives.

Dream Holiday with nature at its best
5/5

Nature and wild at its best. We'd a magical safari experience. The service from the staff was excellent, with no exceptions. The food was tasty, with a good variety of offerings over the course of our stay. Will certainly return with a friend. Can't wait to go back!

Really great adventure with Kihindo Tours and Safaris!
5/5

I had three beautiful days in Selous National park thanks to Isaya! The three days are worth the price that is really affordable for people on a budget; the driving in the proper safari car was really good; Isaya comes to pick you at your hotel and drops you wherever you need to be on the return; the communication with Isaya was really smooth, quick and easy! The safari lodge was really comfortable, nice and calm surrounded by nature; you have both types of “rooms”: big nice safaris tents or big nice rooms both with really nice bathroom; the food was excellent such as the service, everyone is really friendly and at your disposal for anything! In regards of the activities, you will have a nice tour boat on the afternoon of your arrival to observe hippos, crocos, birds and other animals ending up with nice sunset on a sandbank if weather is good; then second day, the day safari is really well driven from early morning to end of the day as Isaya tries to get you to the all animals (and they are there no worries!) as much as he can by going in any corner of the park, he knows the park like is pocket; the park is beautiful with a lot of different landscapes and huge fauna! And on your last day you will experience a nice morning walk in the bush with some medicinal explanations on plants, trees, insects, beliefs and you might be lucky as me and meet some elephants again! Very good value safari! I had a really good time all over the trip! Isaya is really friendly, helpful and makes everything for you to feel you relax, comfortable and good! For sure you will have a great time!

The guide Kihindo himself was so knowledgeable and soft-spoken. Knew the place through and through!
5/5

Kihindo Tours and Safaris was one of the most amazing experiences we have had in a long time!
We have travelled a lot, but this was something else I assure you. The tour was so well put together.
The guide Kihindo knows the Safari completely and tells you all about the animals - how they live, breed and hunt.
Starting from the beginning, he will pick you up where ever you are located and will get you there.
Then you'll have a chance to see all the amazing animals that the place provides. Even the food and accommodation
were great. Because your are staying in a jungle-like hotel with pools and great service. Everything, but the alcohol (which is normal), was included in the price - accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, meeting with the Masais, logistics.

A Professional and Responsive Safari Company
5/5

This is the second time I’ve used this company and again it has met all my expectations. My friends and I put together a custom itinerary and Annette made all the necessary arrangements keeping within our budget, she was quick to respond to any of our questions and made sure we had a wonderful time in Kenya. Our driver, Enock, was very good and was an excellent guide in the parks we visited (Amboseli, Nakuru, Masai Mara, and Ol Pejeta Conservancy). I am going back to Kenya in June and will be using this company again.

Highly recommended
5/5

The experience far exceeded anything I imagined. We saw more animals, closer and more often than I expected. The guide was both knowledgeable and incredibly attentive to our group. The camp accommodations were beautiful. As a vegetarian, I always had good choices for meals. I never thought of myself as "the type" to go on a safari, but my trip was so memorable. Annette personally met with us and was generous and helpful above and beyond what I could have asked. Highly recommended.

The trek itself was amazing but we had some troubles in the office
4/5

Our trek was brilliant. We went up the Sirimon route and got photos of us crossing from the southern the northern hemisphere. It was so scenic and our guides were so lovely. We were really looked after with delicious food and hot drinks and even popcorn and biscuits at snack time! We took an acclimatisation day, so it became a 5 day trek. I'd really recommend this as I was huffing and puffing on the acclimatisation day where we did a small walk up the mountain and back down to the same camp as the night before, but the next day on summiting I felt fine. On summit day we walked up by headtorch and the stars were like nothing I had seen before. We reached the summit for sunrise and it was one of the best experiences of my life. We came down Chogoria and that was stunning too. I felt very looked after throughout the whole trek.

Sadly our office experience was not so good. The company said they used a higher exchange rate than the national rate without explaining why. They also struggled to evidence this. They also didn't accept dollars in cash if the notes were from before 2007. Apparently this is a Kenyan-wide thing but I did feel these issues with paying should've been outlined before as we ended up paying a fair amount more than we were expecting.
