The Ugandan Safari that Mamaland Safaris provided was one I will always remember
5/5

Thanks to Mamaland Safaris we had a terrific holiday.
Together with the owner we set out a ideal trip for us to see as much as we could in the limited time that we had. Every stop we had was better and even more beautiful than the last. The wildlife is always an unknown variable, but thanks to the expertise of our guide we managed to see almost every animal we wanted to see. The guide, Michael Lutembe, can be considered an expert in wildlife as well as a cultural guide. The information he could provide was an overload and information that one can not normally find in the tourist guide books.
Thanks again Mamaland for the unforgettable holiday and we are proud to have made new friends in the process. We hope to see you again soon.

Superb planning - we have holidayed all over the world but never felt so 'looked after' before.
5/5

We had never travelled to South Africa before so wanted to experience a safari but also to visit other parts of the country. We picked Kingfisher Safaris as we would be dealing with people who had actually lived and worked there. Our experience was was extremely positive from beginning to end, with Martin's suggestions and planning producing a well balanced trip that not only appeared exciting, but in the event exceeded all our expectations. All our accommodation was first class and arrangements fell into place like clockwork.
We have holdayed allover the world but never felt so 'looked after' before, with Martin even contacting us during the trip to ensure all was going to plan.
We visited ancient forests, national parks, intriguing villages and beautiful coastline but the highlight must be the safari section. Superb facilities were matched by an absolutely excellent guide with an encyclopaedic knowledge of his subject. Game viewing was brilliant and even included a successful lion hunt - apparently seen by very few.
Would we recommend Kingfisher Safaris? Absolutely. The thought and planning that went into our trip surpassed anything we have previously encountered. There's no doubt that real local experience and knowledge pays off, and in our case resulted in the best trip we have ever taken

Great safari, very friendly team, above expectations
5/5

I had an amazing experience in my Safari with SED adventures. We went to Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire. I did the booking online, had a Skype meeting with them where they asked what I wanted to do and see so they could make a tailor made safari experience for us.The day before the safari the SED team came to our hotel to meet us, give us instructions and talk about the safari. Already in the first 15 minutes we saw lions hunting just by the car and our friendly guide Anton always knew where to go to see some action. We saw huge groups of more than 100 elephants from very close and all other animals we wanted to see. Anton knew everything about the region and the animals, he told us facts and answered all our questions. Accomodation was great, with friendly people and great food.
Our Experience in Tanzania was extraordinary and a big part of this is thanks to the SED team, that are our local friends in Arusha. I highly reccomend them for a unforgetable and entretaining safari experience.

Great Safari, Awesome Team!

We organized an amazing, custom 4 day safari to the Serengheti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tangire and Lake Natron. Our driver/chef and guide were incredible and booking with Afrishare was a breeze. I recommend them incredible highly to anyone looking for affordable, reliable and quality Safaris or other Tanzanian adventures!

Wildlife viewing in Serengeti National Park is good throughout the year, but certain areas are better at specific times. The dry season (from late June to September) offers the best wildlife viewing in general- with the wildebeest migration as its absolute highlight. The timing of the migration varies every year (the best chance of seeing it is during June and July) while the wildebeest calving is from late January to February.
The Serengeti's Southern plains are where the name of the park comes from. Huge endless grass plains stretch from Southern Seronera into the Ngorongoro Conservation area. The area is not as good for game out of the migration season as the central Seronera region, or the Western Corridor, but from December through to April the migration covers the entire area. February is a superb time of year to be here for the calving season when 8,000 wildebeest are born every day for a two week period! The only two permanent lodges here are Ndutu Lodge and Kusini Camp, however, all the mobile camps move down to the area for the whole period. Alex Walker’s Serian is perfect choice for this area, being close enough to the migration and far away from the other mobile camps. For a more migration intense location, Olakira, Nomads Serengeti Safari Camp and Serengeti Under Canvas work very well

About: Tanzania
An incredible safari country in the world.

Tanzania is a land blessed with an abundance of wildlife, panoramic vistas and some of the most kind, hospitable and gracious people in all of Africa. It remains untouched by time and is still as wild, rugged and untamed as ever.
Over 35% of its land is allocated to national parks and game and forest reserves. It is also home to the highest point in Africa – Mount Kilimanjaro – which measures in at 5895 meters or 19,341 feet. Tanzania is also a politically stable, safe country in which to travel. The proximity of so many stunning parks and conservation areas only adds to Tanzania’s appeal as a safari destination. Several parks and conservation areas can be visited in a few days, allowing visitors to take in a wide range of Tanzania’s landscapes and scenery in a relatively short period of time.

One of the Best Experiences I Have Ever Had
5/5

This safari was affordable and more than lived up to mine and my wife's expectations. Every safari lodge stay was beautiful, every game drive was wonderful with *so many* animals to see, the people we met were friendly, the weather was perfect; it really was a beautiful experience. We had Dennis as our driver and he was extremely friendly, professional, very informative, easy to talk to, organized and on time -- and a heck of a good driver.

I would recommend this outfit to anyone as they operate like a well-oiled machine. When I first started planning the trip, I was in contact with Noah and he was also very professional and extremely prompt with responses and very helpful with getting things set up. Additionally, regardless of the areas visited, I felt safe in the company of my driver and felt he was looking out for our well-being.

Things you should be prepared for: long drives on lots of bumpy roads; lots of (sometimes very pushy) salesman at many of your stops; have lots of cash for the potential extras, which can be very worth it but can be heavy on the pocket-book, especially if you're not carrying a lot of cash; additionally, have cash for souvenirs because you'll be wanting to buy or talked into buying at least a few; bring at least two different ways (i.e. cards) to acquire cash in the event one of the bank ATMs eats your card [thanks Barclay's].
