Halleluja!
Twice we, 6 addults, made a trip with Gichmak safaris. I think we made the trips in 2006 and 2009 ?!
We had Willy (halleluja) and had a exiting, sometimes scary (on the road) trip.
Must say, we planned the trip together with Gichmak and that went smoothly.
There is only one big problem we had and still have after so many years.
Two of us had to quit halfway the trip because of a passing away in the family.
We are still waiting for the restitution which was promised to us by Benard.

Good budget value
We booked a safari througt 3crest tours&safaris and i think this is far out the best budget option. We slept in small tents (little iglo's). this was okay. The only complaint i have is about the sleeping bag. They were not cleaned after using. I idid not like to sleep in a sleepingbag in which another persoon slept. We discussed this problem with Gabriel. And we are sure he will solve this problem.
Gabriel will do everything to make you feel comfortabel.
The Tour includes à pick up from the airport and also the first and last night in the hotel.
we did the safari in a good car. A Cook went with us. Hè stayed in the camp while we are doping the gamedrives. We can convince everyone that hè makes wonderfull and delicious maels.
we can recommand 3crest and the personal attention from Gabriel will give you warm feelings.
Beste lezer,

10 days of safari in Tanzania, from Arusha to Serengeti
Nice guide but not well speaking and understanding mi language (French), and often (too much) silencious. Car damage which obliged us to wait a morning at the Serengeti doors (1/2 day safari lost). Poor comfort of the car. No fresh drinks in the car. Great days in Serengeti and Tarangire. Hotels: very poor quality of the first hotel in Arusha, second night alone in the hotel and we've waited electricity during more than 20 min.
Part of the African dream but could or should have been better from my point of view.

Unforgettable experience
Our tour was an amazing experience and most aspects of it were excellent. The taxis to and from the airport, drivers, and flights to and from Kilimanjaro were all fine. The Tarangire Safari park, the Serengeti and Ngorogoro crater were amazing and beyond my expectations. We saw the ' big Five' as well as many more animals. Both hotels, one a lodge and one a glamping experience were excellent, the staff welcoming and service outstanding, the food in both places really good . The picnic lunches every day were delicious, varied and generous. I loved the glamping it was an amazing experience!!!
Our main concern and disappointment was that the Land Roverprovided by East West Safaris broke down twice during our tour. Once at twilight where we had to be left on the side of the road and were fortunately rescued by a kind gentleman who took us to our lodge in Zaratu.
The second time was on the plains of the Serengeti in the middle of nowhere. Our driver had to fix the faulty fuel pump himself which, thank god he did. What we would have done otherwise I have no idea!!! We had two young children and were confined for at least an hour.
We were very concerned that the vehicle was not to safari standard and are critical of the company not the driver, who under the circumstances did well to fix the problem.
We noticed that other company guides and drivers were provided with a uniform to wear, such was not the case with East West Safaris . We would recommend that the company provide uniforms. Lack of seat belts and any cooling method didn't meet our expectations.
Despite our experience with the Land Rover and safari company it was an unforgettable experience.

Good
The safari was good : we saw many animals and the driver took us very close to them. The food was very good.
But, the car was old and worn. The tent and the material to camp was also old and worn.
Richard told us that we had to go to 3 places and we went to 2 places. So don't believe him, he is good in marketing.
The driver has also to improve himself but sometimes he was excellent (we saw many different animals).

I had a great time!
I've seen "the big five", thanks to Steve our nice driver. Steve is really a humor guy. Our cook, Samwel is also a good guy and his service is acceptable. You cannot expect fancy foods in a safari trip I think. The only thing that I don't like is that sometimes we had to eat like vegetarians. I don't know if it's due to the tight of the balance for a cheaper safari.
The worst thing is the policy of the company. The price of your safari depends on how well you can bargain with the tour operator but not depends on the quality of the service and not depend fairly on how many people sharing the cars. Since I went alone, I had to join others. I had to pay 750 $ for 4 days of safari and others people in my group had to pay 750$ for 5 days. Shabani, the tour operator even wanted to charge me for 800$ if I didn't try to bargain. This is really a short-term benefit policy! One more thing even worse is that after a long trip of safari, we were brought to the company office and forced to give comments about the company. They didn't ask us if we want to go there to give comment or not! What kind of comment you will give in front of them? This is just ridiculous. I hope they'll read this comment and then improve their quality of service.
Overall, nothing is perfect. I had a great time in Tanzania. I will come back here in the future if I can afford.
