Great trip!
5/5

Dear Kambona,

I am writing this email to thank you for the wonderful time we had with your company while we were in Tanzania from February 24, 2014 to March 11, 2014. I also tried to post a review on your website, but I must have done something wrong.

You and James did a WONDERFUL job in making this trip the trip of a lifetime! Your knowledge of the Tanzanian and Masai culture, as well as your knowledge of all the different animals we saw, really helped us appreciate all that we experienced on our trip. The hotels and campsites that we stayed in were very comfortable, and our food was first rate. If anyone asks, we will recommend your company, and we already have to our dentist (you may be hearing from him soon). Thank you again for all that you did.

Sincerely,
Kay & Brad Ames

From a photography point of view few destinations (in South Africa) can beat PGR.

This is an amazing desert park. This is very unique to SA. The bush vibe is extraordinary. There are some good hides here too, especially at the camp grounds.

We were unable to see many cats during our visit. The meerkats in Makgadikgadi brought the best out in all of us. We were also lucky enough to see an African Lynx while we were there. We prefer private drivers and moving from camp to camp with different guides was not as special as East Africa. Drivers seemed to give the same schpiel.

This is one of my favorite parks. Like Mkuze it has great hides. We saw a pack of wild dogs nearly take out an Impala.

Naenda is the best!!!!
5/5

Naenda safari's the best experience I've ever had on a vacation. They are without a doubt my choice for best overall experience.

This park doesn't have the wild vibe as ones in the north, but there isn't much around this southern part of SA, therefore good for the region.

Beautiful Lake Natron
5/5

After a few great days with lots of wildlife in Serengeti I & my daughter travelled with Jesse from Naenda Safaris through Klein's gate, passing Wasso and Loliondo to the beautiful Lake Natron. This is an incredibly beautiful place with the view on the vulcano Ol Doynio Lengai, visits to the waterfalls and the lake with flamingo, walking with and talking to the Maasai. We stayed at the very nice and green little 'Worldview' campsite of the maasai Joni. I picked out Jesse & Naenda safaris myself in Moshi, and was very happy with his organization, the good car, the relaxed and secure way of driving and his good experience in telling about all the wildlife. Nice meals & a good nights rest. The best way to go on safari is to prepare yourself and know what you like to visit. Thanks, Jesse!

Uganda is an emerging tourist destination compared to its neighbours. Independent travel is definitely more possible here compared to the other locations and it is much cheaper. If you're going on safari, choose your company and accommodation wisely, it's a real mixed bag!

The best hides in Africa
Overall rating
5/5

uMkhuze Game Reserve is a little visit reserve with possibly the best hides in Africa. There is one particular hide that is in the middle of a water hole. Instead of driving all around on dusty roads looking for wildlife, you can relax at a comfortable hide and watch all the animals come to you. What was most interesting was listening to the wildlife. The hide allows you to be quiet and unseen so that you can observe more nuisances of the animal's behavior. We didn't stay in the park, however, the parks staff were very passionate about the park and took very good care of it.
