Unforgettable Kenyan Adventures: Exploring the Wild with Peter Leweika
About two weeks ago, I went to Kenya and met Peter Leweika when he showed me around Nairobi National Park in his Land Cruiser. The experience was fantastic. You can tell he knows the park like the back of his hand because he took us on the exact route to see giraffes, zebras, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, and more, multiple times. He also offers very complete city tours in Nairobi (which include the Giraffe Centre and the Elephant Orphanage) for those who prefer to stay in the city. His knowledge of wildlife, his friendliness, experience, and professionalism led me to go on a second adventure with him, this time to Maasai Mara National Park for two days. I must say, he knows someone from the Maasai Mara community, and with that perspective from a local villager, the two-day tour through the park was the most incredible experience I’ve ever had. Seeing animals roam free, behaving naturally—raw and wild. Exploring the park with Peter was a pleasure. He’s a great person. I highly recommend traveling through Kenya with him, under his leadership, to discover the most authentic and honest version of the country. Thank you, Peter!

Picking up from the airport and dropping back at the airport was very thoughtful and flexible based on our onward journey. They took care us throughout the trip and met and sometimes exceeded all our expectations. All the hotel accommodations and food were great. Finally our guide MANO (Emanuel) was fantastic. His knowledge about the parks, plants and animals is very good. He really helped us with all our needs as we had some dietary restrictions. 5 stars to Lion King and we are very happy to recommend them to anyone looking to go on a Safari to Serengeti and other national parks in Tanzania. A trip that created memories for a lifetime. Jambo Jambo...

We will come again
This was our first trip to Africa, and when we started planning, we knew nothing about it. In fact, I only started planning the trip in early September for our October itinerary. Initially, I contacted six companies on SafariBooking, but some responded slowly, and some of their itineraries didn’t match our desired destinations. However, Daylight was different—Misaro communicated with me through dozens of emails, patiently helping me plan and adjust the itinerary. Misaro explained the pros and cons of various plans, responded quickly, and worked with me to make prompt modifications to any questionable plans. She helped me finalize many customized details, which made me feel very reassured before the trip.
The highlight of our trip was Henry, our guide. He was professional, responsible, and an excellent driver. Both my mother and child really liked him. I believe these qualities are at the core of what makes a guide competitive. At one point, we were just one meter away from a hippo! If it weren’t for Henry’s careful driving and keen observational skills, we wouldn’t have been able to experience something like that. Our family has already agreed that whenever we return to Kenya, we will request Henry as our guide.
The only regret is that I lost half of the photos due to my own mistake, but this also gives us more motivation to visit Kenya again!
