Easy Travel made this the trip of a lifetime!
5/5

My wife and I wanted to send our heartfelt thanks to Easy Travel for making our past safari the journey of a lifetime. The outstanding level of care we received from our safari consultant, Chislon and our driver/guide, Benedict, exemplify the remarkable company Easy Travel is. Chislon’s and Benedict’s hospitality showed us a different kind of Tanzanian warmth that we would return for in a heartbeat. We came back with so many stories and experiences that we will always treasure for the rest of our lives.

From the very start, Chislon’s prompt communication and flexibility in helping us plan our itinerary gave us the assurance we needed to book our trip. There are literally HUNDREDS of tour companies to choose from so we did our due diligence by researching them and compared each across an Excel spreadsheet (It’s my inner nerd, I work as an analyst). Our careful research paid off because we found that the value Easy Travel offers and their commitment to customer service is unparalleled.

Our adventure first brought us to Tarangire National Park, where a curious baby elephant playfully danced in front of our jeep as her family grazed all around us. Since it was wet season, the grass was high and we thought it would be impossible to spot any animals. To our amazement, Benedict still managed to spot a lion’s tail wagging through the tall grasses off in the distance, and that’s when we knew we had one of the best in the business. Benedict continued to amaze us throughout our trip with his eagle eyes, especially when he spotted a black rhino that was camouflaged by dried mud and when he stopped the jeep while driving up Ngorongoro Crater to point out a vervet monkey observing us from a tree. He was simply amazing.

As we traveled to the Serengeti, Chislon was able to upgrade us to the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel for our honeymoon. At the Four Seasons, we were amazed see a baby leopard, a dozen elephants walking to a watering hole, as well as dozens of zebras and gazelles grazing on the plains, all from the balcony of our room! We even got to experience a close encounter with 3 baboons who managed to break into our room in an attempt to steal our chocolate covered granola bars. (I managed to chase them away with a pillow before the Maasai warriors showed up :)

In Serengeti National Park, Benedict delighted us by finding the following: lions mating (repeatedly!); 9 lionesses sleeping in a single tree; lions fighting off hyenas after killing a water buffalo; a cheetah on the prowl at sunset (along with a family of warthogs scurrying off just a few meters away); a hundred hippos conversing in a river; black backed jackals on the prowl; a tower of giraffes on the move and herds of elephants grazing on the plains and drinking at watering holes. Throughout it all, we appreciated the fact that Benedict shared his knowledge and observations to help us understand life on the Serengeti. For example, when he spotted an elephant amongst the herd with a short truck, he explained that it was most likely bitten off by a crocodile. Those observations would have been easy for us to miss without the help of Benedict.

In Ngorongoro, we were greeted by thousands of zebras, wildebeests and gazelles, and thanks to Benedict and his knowledge of animal behavior, we even got to witness a live kill. While driving, Benedict noticed that some of the zebras were all facing the same direction so he pulled over and grabbed his binoculars. Off in the distance, he spotted four lionesses with their cubs. He encouraged us to be patient and while we waited, he explained the relationship zebras and wildebeests have. As we watched through our binoculars, he explained that the two travel together because zebras have good eyesight, but a poor sense of smell whereas wildebeests have bad eyesight, but a good sense of smell. By traveling together, both herds are less vulnerable to predators. We then continued to watch as a wildebeest unwittingly galloped straight into the pack of lions and was killed within seconds, affirming that wildebeests really do have bad eyesight.

By the end of our trip, Benedict became more than just a driver and guide; he was a caring friend who even helped us mail postcards to Australia, Hong Kong, New York and California. Everyone received them even before they knew we returned home! The stories of his life, and his knowledge and appreciation of wildlife really helped give us insight into Tanzania that we could never get from reading a book. There is no way this experience would have been as rich without his guidance and care.

Even after our safari was over, Easy Travel’s staff continued to amaze us. After we became stranded at Kilimanjaro Airport, Chislon went above and beyond by sending a driver to pick us up and communicated with Kenya Airlines to get us a refund. He even called Cape Town, South Africa to help us reschedule our hotel and car rental. That commitment to service, even after our trip had officially ended, showed us how much Easy Travel truly cares about their customers, and that’s something that makes them stand out amongst the pack. :)

With a heart full of gratitude

Great Safari, fantastic guide!
5/5

We were really satisfied with our tour with Karibu Safaris. From the prompt communication upfront to the pick up service from the bus station, even after the bus was an hour late, they were ready and waiting. The accomodation was great value as well and all meals ensured we were well fed. The Masai Mara add on was also good value.

About the tour itself, it was magnificent & extremely well run! Our guide John was amazing, he always kept us up to date with what was happening. He was flexible and his communication & team work with fellow drivers on the radio, whilst on safari was extremely impressive, as it ensured we saw every animal possible. If you have ever spent a decent amount of time in Africa you will know as a general rule service standards aren't high in western terms(although they are improving). However, at Karibu, I can safely say that their service was fantastic! And try to ensure you get John to be your guide as he is a very knowledgeable and hard working guide, one of the best we have had in all of the safaris we have done in Africa!

Awesome Experience!
5/5

We booked for a trek to Mt Kilimanjaro and a 3 day safari with Afrishare. The entire trip of 11 days was excellent! The trek was flawless! The entire team of 12 support staff (Guides, Cook and Porters) were awesome! The BEST team ever! They were very prompt with their service and helped us to get to the summit! They even went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. I would very highly recommend the Guides - Kijaji and Alfred and their team for any trek with Afrishare. They not just take care of you very well, but also provide lot of insights into the flora and fauna on the trek! Very knowledgeable people. Our Cook - Cosmos was fantastic and he always had something special everyday!

The Safari was also organized very well. Our guide and driver Fredy was awesome with spotting wildlife! He is also very knowledgeable and ensured we got to see the maximum wildlife during our trip.

Ibrahim is an excellent host! He provided us with accommodation which was comfortable and the food served at the campus was excellent!

Overall, I would recommend Afrishare for not just doing treks and safari, but also to get an experience of staying in Tanzania with locals! Thank you Ibrahim.. I am already dreaming of my next vacation with you guys!! :)

Professional, positive, unforgettable!
5/5

I did 3-days tour to Masai Mara with Terminal Tours Kenya and it was even better that I expected for such a reasonable price! Friendly managers who not only organized everything really well, but also took care of me for one more day in Nairobi after the tour. Three amazing game-drives, where I was lucky to see a lion, a chittah (running!!) and lots of elephants, crocodiles, zebras and antilopes of all kinds. Really nice place to stay at Masai guesthouse in a private tent with my own shower, bathroom and decent bedroom. Wery welcoming Masai peple who brought us to their village and shared some interesting facts about their life. Buying traditional Masai souvenirs for really cheap. I can't believe that I did that much in just three days! Still very excited about this safari and want to thank Terminal Tours Kenya for that!

We have used Letaka Safaris many times now and we will keep going back for more. The Guides and Camp crews are excellent and well trained. The accommodation is comfortable and spacious especially with their new tents and the food makes the trips worth while.

incredible experience with Savannah Explorers ... it is easy to work on such incredible parks and landscape but their approach is very professional and their guides are very prepared.
I will surely contact them again for my next trip to Serengeti, where you should go more than once in your lifetime.

Dream holiday
5/5

Have just returned from Safari to spend a couple of relaxing days in lake Duluti lodge in Arusha. After a few relaxing days at the beginning of the holiday also at lake Duluti lodge, we were booked into the big five safari round the Taranguire, Serengeti and Ngorogoro crater. Our guide Richard was absolutely brilliant and made a big effort to ensure we had the best experience, and found us lots of exciting close up experiences. Natasa was wonderful and dealt with everything very efficiently. She came to greet us on our first full day to brief us for the upcoming safari and answer and questions. She was always very efficient in answering emails and ensuring the trip was smoothly run and getting the best for us. Unfortunately there was one slight issue with thd accommodation for a night in Arusha (recent change of management at the lodge), but as soon as we informed Natasa, she came straight over to see us and resolve the issue by moving us to new accommodation within an hour of her being informed so we could really enjoy our last day in Tanzania. Overall an excellent trip and one that will be remembered for many years, I would thoroughly recommend shadows of Africa.

This company really takes care you from start to finish.
5/5

I did a 5 day trip to Kilimanjaro with Tuma and Yuda. They were amazing. So warm and caring. Always making sure that everything was comfortable and really pushing you to the top. The trip is hard. It's stressful and exhausting but I can't imagine going with anyone else but Tuma and Yuda. If you book with il Maasai make sure you request them. Enjoy!!
